Brill, done it, thanks!

SpamAnderson · 21/02/2015 14:01

Lovely scans ladies! And super jealous of those getting moved forward too :D

mrsdos · 21/02/2015 14:01

Scan date has arrived, Friday at 8.40!! Will be 13+5 if the epu scan date is right. Will be taking a cup of tea to wake up (and fill bladder) with me in the car!
Got a hen do tonight, cocktails, canapes and dinner out Smile luckily the hen is a close friend and already knows so there are mocktails planned, just hoping no one makes a big fuss as don't want to steal her big night (I am a big worrier and have an over active conscience!)

GoooRooo · 21/02/2015 14:24

HaveTea and Monkey DS had a posterior tongue tie and I paid a private midwife to release it on my kitchen table - cost about £100. It was worth every penny. He had trouble latching and we ended moving to expressed milk for a month before I switched to formula. He ended up in hospital with jaundice and had to be resusitated at one point because he wasn't getting enough milk and the midwives weren't listening when I told them there was a problem and just dismissed me as being a worried first time mum - I will trust my instincts more this time.

Whatabout · 21/02/2015 14:27

I caved and bought two maternity tops and two pairs of Jean/trousers from h&m. Cost nearly £100! But I have an outfit to wear out tonight and a work outfit. Feels too early but I'm really struggling for clothes.

Good news on all the scans! 9 days till mine and I'm soooo nervous.

11 weeks today, some how feels quite a good milestone

Out for DH birthday tonight, im driving as my cover for not drinking. Otherwise id blame lent!

Whatabout · 21/02/2015 14:28

And whoever mentioned movements - pretty certain I'm felt movements. This is number two so I remember the feeling. It's unusuak as they are sooo tiny but I woukdnt say no.

lastnightiwenttomanderley · 21/02/2015 15:48

Thanks shin - I hope so! never hoped for a UTI before

Erm, does anyone know what you can take for constipation when pregnant? Been lucky enough never to have had it before but am starting to wonder if this is some sort of perverse labour preparation...

Treaclepie19 · 21/02/2015 15:55

I'm on lactulose lastnight, that's what the doctor prescribed.

Really glad it's the weekend I was so sick last night I've burst loads of blood vessels under my eyes and I look like I've some strange punk makeup on Shock. Hopefully it'll have faded a bit by Monday!!

SpamAnderson · 21/02/2015 16:26

If anyone is in need of a giggle....
We just took the dogs for a nice run on the beach. DH bent over in his baggy jeans and ripped them, heard it and couldn't figure out what so bent a bit further :/ turned round and he literally ripped them from the back of his knee, all the way up to just below the waistband! Not on a seam, right in the middle of the material :/ I laughed so hard I managed to wet myself a bit! The curse of the uterus sitting on my already sensitive bladder :( was bloody hilarious though!

Treaclepie19 · 21/02/2015 16:32

Hehehe spam!
Poor both of you.

My DH is currently hoovering the house, bless him. Dunno what I'd do without him.

Had a lovely private scan this morning. Can't post pic as on phone sorry. Saw the heart beating away and sac in the right place. She dated me as only 8w 1d, though my reckoning was 8w5d, so hoping it's all okay. 12w scan seems a looooong time away yet now though.

A night out celebrating dh's birthday with friends tonight, so I'll be giving the Lent idea a go - not sure anyone will buy it!

DefinitelyNotElsa · 21/02/2015 17:28

Congrats on the scan MessyMoo! We're date buddies - I'm 8+5 today too.

Jessica32 · 21/02/2015 18:09

Lastnight I was a bit constipated to start with but drank prune juice which seemed to do the trick. Things seem to have sorted themselves out at the mo. I warn you, it's pretty sweet and horrible but at least natural if it works for you. Tastes better mixed with a bit of Apple juice.

SpamAnderson · 21/02/2015 18:09

messy 4 days out isn't bad :) you might find you get those days back at your 12 week scan anyway. An egg can actually survive up to 4 days and sperm 7 days so it's quite easy to be a few days out. I was 3 days out with dd2 (2.5 weeks with dd1!) i ov'd on day 18 of my last cycle so in theory, my date could easily be 4 days out, which I'm expecting at the 12 week scan :) a heart beat at 8 weeks is great news though :D

shinjuku09 · 21/02/2015 18:33

Hahaha Spam that's one to tell the grandkids Wink

Lastnight peppermint capsules always work for me without being too aggressive. They're just peppermint so presume fine on pregnancy.

itssangriaoclock · 21/02/2015 19:06

Already gained 4kgs. What is wrong with me that is nearly my total weight from ds.

Going away tomorrow, hopefully walks along the moors and beaches will rectify this. I'm constantly eating beaches it stops the nausea. Hope it passes so the gain can slow down. They shouldn't be any weight gain in 1st trimester HmmConfused

ag123 · 21/02/2015 19:07

Hi everyone.
Haven't posted in ages as went to my mum's in Wiltshire for half term. It was utter bliss... She was already looking after my sister's 2 dc's for a couple of days so DS had permanent entertainment and had a wonderful fully home cooked meal for both lunch and dinner every day!! I even got to read magazines and things!
Back to reality now though!

Have a Doppler question. I now really regret getting my old sonoline one down from the loft...I think I found the hb the first time I used it but every time I've tried since, literally all I can hear is very loud static... No my heartbeat, no whooshing placenta and and certainly no gallopy bean heartbeat. Has anyone else had this? (Wish I'd never got it out)

itssangriaoclock · 21/02/2015 19:13

Home dopplers are not a good idea. Please don't waste your time, money and emotions

Treaclepie19 · 21/02/2015 19:19

sangria, my app says 1-4lb is normal in the first 9 weeks.
I've lost weight but that's because I'm so off food.

Weareboatsremember · 21/02/2015 19:30

whispers can someone remove me from the spreadsheet please? I can't do it on my phone. Good luck ladies x

itssangriaoclock · 21/02/2015 19:35

Treacle but I've gained 4kgs about 8lb. My app says too much weight gain Hmm.

Maybe they all say different things? It's so confusing

itssangriaoclock · 21/02/2015 19:37

My scan count down is nearly here.

11wks tomorrow, go on holiday come back one day at work then scan scan. Can't wait to see our little teacake bouncing around.

On a positive note my bloods have all come back normal
