Thanks Brixton Smile

AnniaFausta · 16/02/2015 07:39

Thanks, Brixton, and best of luck with getting the new house in order - it sounds at least like you'll have a bit of a chance to supervise/do some more intensive work when you go on maternity leave, if nothing else.

Wineandchoccy · 16/02/2015 07:40

Thanks brixton
I think we should win an award for the most threads filled before babies are born!

brummagem · 16/02/2015 07:40

Much chatting such gossip love it.

Thanks Annia! It's all quite overwhelming but I know it was the right decision to make as the house should be fab once it's liveable in! And yes I'm definitely looking forward to being more hands-on when I'm on mat leave.

Brumma - I've had slight crustiness in the nipple region! You're not alone.

Thanks Wine. I used plastic food bags last time but boxes will stack up better in the freezer.

Going to hang on until 36 wks to get nursing bras I think. Unless I magically find my ones from last time lurking at mum and dad's house when I go there this weekend.

HV - not heard of this round our way, no one came last time either.

Brixton at least the work is underway. Do you have back up plan in case you need to stay elsewhere for a bit?

Thanks for the new thread btw.

PenguinPoser · 16/02/2015 07:50

Marking place - will catch up properly later. Thanks Brixton!

Misty I had an antenatal visit from HV couple of weeks ago - she didn't inspect the house just sat in living room asked me lots of questions (housing/social/medical and family history) and talked about safe baby sleeping etc. It was fine. Hope yours is too!

Lauren82000 · 16/02/2015 07:53

Can you believe it I'm off this week so got up with DD at 6. I shouted up the stair at 7.20 that DH needed to get up, I got DD to shout up the stairs 10mins later. I yelled again 5 mins ago and said its 7.45! He came downstairs and said why didn't you tell me the time each time you yelled. I simple told him that I reminded him to set an alarm last night not my fault he didn't and why should I tell him what time it was I yelled. He just had to open one eye and check his phone! Grr made me really mad. He was in a right huff but I can't see how it's my fault he didn't listen to me telling him to get up.

FiRaffe · 16/02/2015 07:56

Oh dear Lauren - I would be useless at getting up without DH. I'm sure baby will change that though!

Great news on the house Brixton.

Also a bit crusty nipples here, well only one! The wonders of pregnancy!!!!

cinnamongreyhound · 16/02/2015 08:13

I don't rememeber hv coming antenataly with my two but they did make contact before they were born. Not heard anything so far this time!

And thanks for the thread BrixtonBunny!

daholster · 16/02/2015 08:19

Thanks for the new thread! Natter natter natter...

Lauren he is just being unreasonable!

We have HV visit on 23rd March. I'll be on mat leave. Dd will have had her 23month check on 13th March so I don't think having another makes a difference, it probably depends on the area.

Feeling better today. Aunt and uncle coming over soon to help me clean and tidy for the day. I'm so lucky to have such a wonderful family! Best make my Brew which will now be stewed...

Girls names on our list were:

Genevieve (Ginny)
Ottilie (Tilly)
Briar
Ariadne
Brianna
Heather
Felicity
Jasmine
Thomasina

I also like Sasha and Tatiana but the latter is a little, well, Russian!!! And my daughter's middle name is Meadow, which I love (of course!)

We are just stuck with boys names really. I find them so much less inspiring. We decided against Cohen. Shouting Kaitlin/Cohen might sound a bit too similar and have them both charging downstairs in a strop in years to come! So we are back to Jamie/Jack/Rory with Heath or Jack as a middle name.

31+6

daholster · 16/02/2015 08:20

I love that Thomasina is so unusual and she could be a beautiful little Tommy Smile

daholster · 16/02/2015 08:30

And Nia. And Summer!!! I love Summer Rose. You've got me going now! If this boy had been timed right he would have been Winter. But he isn't! A Winter in April would be a bit weird.

Lauren82000 · 16/02/2015 08:35

Yes he was being a right grump. He was ok once he got out of the shower, but still it made me mad at him. Especially since we dtd last night despite it being awkward and too much effort. Which he agrees with btw, he says he just gets horny and forgets how much effort it takes. I'm just too big and uncomfortable to find pretty much any position that works for me now. Last night was pretty funny though had so many front bum trumps had me giggling like mad, (we woke DD oops) Stupid positions pump me full of air it wasn't my fault. Blush

AnniaFausta · 16/02/2015 08:35

My nipples are so far remaining uncrusted. When I told my mother that I might start leaking before the baby arrived, she looked very surprised... never happened to her, apparently, which is fine but I'm not taking any chances.

daholster · 16/02/2015 08:38

Lauren ha ha ha!!! It is effort... You have to really be in the mood!

Siarie · 16/02/2015 08:39

New thread! Doesn't seem long ago we had the last one, we deffo talk too much!

April doesn't seem very long away now. I'm looking forward to it!

kismac · 16/02/2015 08:41

He he Lauren. Im impressed that you guys are still DTD. We gave up months ago.

My boobs are massive. I've went up 3 cup sizes so something must be happening but no leaks yet.

I gave in a slept sitting up last night as DH kept telling me I didn't sound good lying down and as much as I moaned that I didn't want to, it actually turned up to be so comfy.

Got an overnight stay for a work event tomorrow. Going to feel useless as I can help set up, so I'll take the role of pointing and shouting. Boo!

smogsville · 16/02/2015 08:41

Lauren he's clearly being ridiculous.

FiRaffe - just the one crusty nipple eh - left or right? Shock

Siarie · 16/02/2015 08:56

Oh lauren lots of cushions seems to work. Although I would say you're options are limited now to a small about of positions ha!

Lauren82000 · 16/02/2015 08:57

I just feel a bit mean if we don't dtd. Considering we were at it like rabbits to get pregnant and then just to cut him off, it's not very fair. I was far more horny when I was pregnant with DD, this time I'd just rather not bother. Hmm He might very well get cut off soon though.

Least MiL is coming for DD about 10.30 so I can relax for a bit before going to the HV.

cinnamongreyhound · 16/02/2015 09:11

We usually manage once or twice a week at the moment but it's getting more difficult for sure! I tried getting both mine out the way they got in but nothing we tried got me out of being induced!

Lauren82000 · 16/02/2015 09:28

Sairie we do use lots of cushions and are now pretty much down to just one position which doesn't really do anything for me. Hmm Hence my lack of enthusiasm. I do try my best to muster the effort at least once a fortnight if not once a week. (Personally think that's pretty generous too) Wink
