Hi Linguaphile thanks for your kind thoughts, well my scan is end of March based on my LMP dates but by then I'll be 13+4 as scan dates have me a week further on, so going to see if I can have it brought forward a bit when I have my booking appointment this week...
Docs are convinced this is a case of vanishing twin syndrome rather than a difference in gestational age, it's not just the slow heart rate but the sac is also collapsing so odds are overwhelming at this point. Hey ho, I shall be very lucky to hold on to one, am hoping I have a fighter in there too! Have you had a scan yet? If you've had twins already are the odds high for a second set?!

gingerbreadmam · 02/03/2015 20:33

gaggia my chin has been covered in boils that r taking an age to go so im with u on the spotty front. bloody annoying!

taranta i hope u r doing ok. it must feel like a difficult situation to be in. promising twin has developed a heartbeat tho it must be doing something in there. i dont want to get ur hopes up but a family member had this and they were convinced the worst would happen but things turned out extremely well and got to full term with both of them. it can happen so fingers crossed.

Stinkersmum · 02/03/2015 20:39

Being emotional doesn't cover it. I cried at a KFC advert the other day Blush. Mil facetimed tonight. Asked how I was, told her I was nauseous and started to cry. FFS....

ginzillas · 02/03/2015 20:49

Was it the KFC ad with the little boy who's been adopted? That one got me! Also cried at CBeebies earlier.

Stinkersmum · 02/03/2015 21:42

gin yes! Although I thought he was fostered. Breaks my heart either way!

Adventuregame · 02/03/2015 21:52

Hi all

I don't post a lot but do follow all your news.
Thought I'd give a shout out to the no symptoms club ! I'm 8 wks tomorrow and so far just sore boobs. No hint of sickness (sorry for those that do). I had a scan at 5 wks due to a pre existing medical condition and dr said all looked normal. It was just a blob really with a flicker of heartbeat too tiny to measure.
As some of you may remember I've been in a bit of a 'not ready' panic about the whole thing but I seem to have turned a corner emotionally and can actually imagine it all without crying of fear !!!

Next scan is April Fools Day - thankfully after midday !!!!

batfish · 03/03/2015 04:30

Yay to the others in the no symptoms club! Hopefully we are all fine, safety in numbers and all that.

adventure that's great news that you are feeling better about everything.

Sorry to all of you who are feeling crappy, I hope it passes soon and you start glowing instead! Grin

flipflump · 03/03/2015 07:23

I don't post terribly often but showing lots of sympathy towards all you sickly ladies, it's not fun. My little one woke up at 2am, I got up to settle him but had to run to the bathroom. Morning sickness I can just about handle but middle of the night sickness is cruel.

My GP doesn't want to see me until I'm 10 weeks. Very much doubt I'll see the midwife much before 12 weeks as she only does 1 day per week at our surgery. Jealous of you all with appointments. I want to get the ball rolling.

gaggiagirl · 03/03/2015 07:57

flip I'm in the same boat as you. Jealous of everyone's scans and appointments.

batfish · 03/03/2015 08:57

You guys have made me realise that although I'm jealous of everyone's symptoms I should also think myself very lucky that I get to have a scan very soon to hopefully put my mind at rest!

raggymay · 03/03/2015 08:58

The thread has fallen off my topics so I better post.
Lovely to hear about the scans and appointments coming through. Those with no symptoms please just try to enjoy it, easier said than done though. I had no symptoms with my others and they were all fine. This one is making me nauseous (no actual vomiting yet) but I know women who have had severe morning sickness (HG?) and this is nothing in comparison so I won't complain... In public anyway. My poor DP is hearing all about it.

minijoeyjojo · 03/03/2015 12:13

batfish and adventure can I join the no symptoms club? I'm 9 + 2 and even the boobs are feeling a bit better. Not really had any nausea at all, I only know I'm pregnant because of the lack of AF, larger boobs (need to go bra shopping!) and sometimes completely irrational behaviour! i.e. spent the whole of yesterday shouting at things and last week properly sobbed in the shower because it was cold!

Sorry to all of you who are feeling rubbish - hope it passes soon!

gingerbreadmam · 03/03/2015 12:25

anyone have really bad congestion? everytime i have something to eat it feels like im going to suffocate so i have to eat real fast.

gaggiagirl · 03/03/2015 12:50

Aye ginger its horrible. Get some Calpol baby saline nose spray it will change your life!

gingerbreadmam · 03/03/2015 13:46

ooh just from boots or somewhere? will get some one way home, thank you so much i am excited about being able to breathe again!

gaggiagirl · 03/03/2015 14:43

Yeah or a big Asda or something. If they don't have that get sterimar. So long as its a saline nasal spray/drop thingy. I got mine from the tiny local chemist. They had to ask the pharmacist if I was allowed it because I'm preg. Its just salty water!

gingerbreadmam · 03/03/2015 15:01

perfect, you have made my day! thank you Thanks

Choccywoccydodah · 03/03/2015 15:20

anyone else over 40?

AuntieDee · 03/03/2015 15:33

Aww that's brill Choccy! How did you manage to get a pic? I wasn't even allowed to take a picture of mine and my OH wasn't with me - I feel cheated out of being able to share with him :(

Choccywoccydodah · 03/03/2015 15:39

I just asked for one but they'd already printed it out when I was getting dressed.
That's odd they didn't give you one!
I got one with all my scans with ds too.
I just can't believe this one has stuck! Celebrating with a nice bath while ds at preschool......HE'S FINALLY GOING TO BE A BIG BROTHER!!!! Grin

gingerbreadmam · 03/03/2015 15:54

congrats choccy looking fab! how far along are you?

im here after mmc late last year so share all your worries!

ginzillas · 03/03/2015 15:57

How's everyone doing with the nausea/sickness today? I feel so rubbish, I just need to eat all the time. Greggs pastry for breakfast followed by Macdonalds lunch (with two of their strawberry smoothies). I'm now lying in bed while Dd watches dvds. I just told her I'm sorry for being a rubbish mummy today. She said 'Yes, I'm going to put you in the bin, Mummy!'

Choccywoccydodah · 03/03/2015 16:28

Only 6 weeks Ginger so a loooooong way to go yet.
I'm on the Response Trial so I have to inject myself everyday. It's either a drug or placebo, but I'm convinced it's the drug as I just so happened to have got this one to stick!
I still can't believe it especially when I've got no proper symptoms. I had nausea the last couple of days and felt sick but not sick, I have sore nips and am knackered, but that's about it!
I had the same with ds so hoping this one is the same :)
