I had ginger but biscuits with ds, they helped :)
Hear you with just wanting to sleep!!

Cineraria · 01/03/2015 15:37

Happy birthday, AuntieDee! Sorry your meal didn't agree with you.

How nice for you to see the heartbeat Ca55andra. So reassuring.

Ladypug and other nauseous people, I'm finding that sour sweets (with malic acid in the ingredients) help, especially when I feel sick in the car. I've been eating Tooty Frooty sweets and Tangy tots and both help quite quickly although it doesn't last that long. I think salt and vinegar hula hoops might have malic acid in too, so I'm going to look for those too.

Ca55andraMortmain · 01/03/2015 15:49

choccy I'm 7+6 but others on here have seen heartbeats before 6 weeks so hopefully you'll see one too! DH was a bit nonplussed by the whole thing because it was just a blob with a little flickery bit in the middle but he's always been totally sure the baby would be healthy so he didn't have that overwhelming relief that I felt! I was in floods!

Choccywoccydodah · 01/03/2015 15:59

Lol ca55, I was 7+6 when I saw ds after a bit of brown d/c, I think it's the most amazing thing ever! Dh was just speechless too, I don't thin you believe there's something actually in there til you see it!

Good tip with the sweets cineraria! :)

Ladypug · 01/03/2015 18:15

Ooh thanks Cineraria I've got zinc supplement, fizzy water and ginger biscuits - basically buying anything anyone tells me, I have so much on at work this week, I have to be well!

Happy birthday AuntieDee x

ps your baby is bound to love Italian - everyone loves Italian!

AnnaBegins · 01/03/2015 18:43

Happy Birthday AuntieDee! Sure the Italian will go down much better! Went riding today and yesterday so thought of you horsey ones!

Actually felt a bit bad today when the guy I ride for said he's having an operation in April which means he won't be riding for 3 months but he's so pleased I'll be able to ride for him! Not sure I'll be quite happy to school a 5 year old at 16-30 weeks pregnant, no matter how well behaved! Not prepared to tell him yet though.

Taranta · 01/03/2015 21:01

Infrequent poster here, but thought I'd pop by for a nod. I'm 9+3 today and nauseous to the point that I appear only to be able to eat Haribo tangfastics, dry crackers and iced lemonade. I mean, I know I'm going to have to branch out into other food groups at some point but cannot look even a bit of toast in the eye this last week. I also have hideous hyper salivation coming and going which I got when pregnant with DS. Anyone else getting this?! I'd forgotten how grim it is, bleurgh...

Going for second scan tomorrow to see whether I'm still carrying two or as doc suspects it will be vanishing twin syndrome (first scan showed one measuring good for dates but the other a few weeks behind) sad though it is to think one may not make it I think to be honest I will just be relieved if the scan still shows one tenacious little blob!

Good luck with all yours x

MrsEvansAlmost · 01/03/2015 21:54

evening ladies, hope you are all well and getting over the crap exhaustion side of 1st trimester!

no nausea and after pregnancy care tablets made me horribly constipated they've now gone to the other extreme! its almost like having morning sickness as I can pin it to a time, tried changing tablets and nothing's worked.MW said it can be normal.

so jealous of you ladies that have already had scans! can't wait to see beans HB!!/hope you all have a good week! Thanks

Choccywoccydodah · 02/03/2015 08:36

Hi taranta! Hope all goes well with your scan today, keep us informed!!
It is such a shame when one twin doesn't make it :(, my friend lost one at 8 weeks (ivf, both stuck) but is now 27 weeks with a lovely girl, so it's a happy ending that she didn't lose both.

MrsE sounds like your getting everything thrown at you!! Hope you feel much better soon.

I can't wait til tomorrow for my scan Grin It's the furthest I've got in 18 months and 8 losses and am over the bloody moon! Every time I got to my scan it turned into a scan to make sure everything had gone :(
I still absolutely petrified though TBPH.

Choccywoccydodah · 02/03/2015 08:37

sleepyMe12 · 02/03/2015 09:44

Morning ladies, been lurking the last week.
I've had awful morning sickness and I'm exhausted all the time.
I've got my booking appointment on sat so looking forward to that.
xx

gingerbreadmam · 02/03/2015 09:57

good luck with your scan today taranta.

MrsEvansAlmost · 02/03/2015 10:49

congrats choccywoccy! hope you get a clear picture of bean and see the HB!

its like having morning sickness from the other end! I'm desperately waiting to get my scan letter through!!

how are you ladies coping with the morning sickness and tiredness? I'm not sure if its just me but nausea has gone and so has exhaustion, hopefully you ladies will get some relief from it soon Smile

OP posts:
gingerbreadmam · 02/03/2015 11:15

morning sickness comes in waves. i can cope with it by snacking on cream crackers.

exhaustion seems to have stepped up a gear. was back in bed at lunch time yesterday and had to fight to stay up for mr selfridge Grin sat at work now thinking how am i going to get through the day. bad times.

my worst thing probably, because.it disturbs my sleep is needing to wee often and acheing hips. must wake at least 4 times through the night because of either of those. good practice for a baby i guess!

AuntieDee · 02/03/2015 11:32

Thankyou for all the birthday messages - baby LOVED Italian ;)

I'm living on harribo bunnies - the new ones are ace as they have apple for green instead of lime, mango instead of lemon and passion fruit instead of orange mmmmm

I'm also living on ginger beer, cold and hot. The non alcoholic version of course...

Good luck with all your scans today! I have my 8 week appointment today on my birthday - excited :)

gingerbreadmam · 02/03/2015 11:34

oh wow happy birthday auntiedee hope appointment goes well too.

AuntieDee · 02/03/2015 12:00

Thanks gingerbreadmam

I've got an antenatal appointment and then lots of baking to do for work tomorrow - might make gingerbread too :)

kezod · 02/03/2015 12:00

Hi ladies,
Just thought I would touch base, I haven't written anything recently because I have nothing to report! My hubby says I'm more tired but I'm managing my 12 hour shifts quite well and had no nausea, cravings or anything really. (my mum said she had a really easy pregnancy with me, so I hope this is the same) but the lack of symptoms are a slight concern!
I'm sorry to hear some of you are having such a rough time, mind you I'm only 6+4 so I know it could all change at any minute!
I did have a tiny bit of pinky/brown mucus discharge yesterday has anyone else had this? I have the MW on the 5/3 so hopefully she can put my mind at ease a bit, I would love an early scan!

Cineraria · 02/03/2015 12:08

Hope all goes well at your scan today Taranta.

Sorry to hear about your digestive troubles, MrsEvans. At least the nausea has eased off a bit or you wouldn't know which end to point at the loo! I had a week of less indigestion and nausea last week but it seems to be back now. I think it might have been better due to working from home for two days as travelling seems to make it worse. Hope you find something that helps yours soon, Sleepy and Ginger

Keeping my fingers crossed for you tomorrow Choccy.

gingerbreadmam · 02/03/2015 12:35

good choice auntydee Grin

me too. i would have coke if desperate but all the caffeine stuff scares me slightly. i have managed to convince myself it gives me palpitations too. dont drink tea or coffee so that is where i used to get my caffeine fix ha Grin

Choccywoccydodah · 02/03/2015 12:48

Kezod, unless the spotting carries on I wouldn't worry too much. Still mention it to your mw, but they usually don't send you for an early scan unless you carry on spotting.

So I feel awful. Started with the sicky feeling now, bang in the same time I had with ds. No actual sickness though. Have just been to buy ginger nuts and fizzy sweets but I still feel sick. I've had lemonade too as that's meant to help, no!
Dh is making a bacon sandwich at the moment for us all, the smell is making me worse! Confused

Fallinggracefully · 02/03/2015 13:14

Off work today with a poorly and teething toddler. It has been a loooong morning! Decaf tea is not helping, and I can't even count down the hours til wine o'clock. Nap time shortly thank goodness!

Bambino29 · 02/03/2015 14:39

Roll on the end of nausea/morning sickness for us all! As reassuring as it is, it's starting to get dull now! Wake up feeling awful and comes and goes all day, peaking at around 7pm when I normally end up going to bed. Stupidly agreed to host a dinner party tonight at 8pm - have no idea how I'm going to stay awake! With last pregnancy, sickness lasted until 17 weeks so hoping this one's different!

Hope you all start to feel better soon!

LooksLikeImStuckHere · 02/03/2015 14:46

Totally fed up here! Haven't really bothered posting as it's just more of the same. Nausea ad nauseum... (I think that's how it's spelt).

My mum took DS for me today as I said I was feeling sick, only 7 weeks though, can't keep doing this for the next 5 until I tell people Confused

Having protein seems to help me a bit, so trying to up my levels of that in the rare periods where I feel ok.

No date for booking in or scan yet either!

Hope you are all managing ok, sounds like most of us are in the same boat!

ginzillas · 02/03/2015 15:19

Fed up here too! Feeling so rough. The nausea is constant and I keep feeling really dizzy and lightheaded. I'm feeling quite miserable and anxious too. There was a chance we might have been moving house in October around my due date but the thought was stressing me out so much one told DH 'no way'. To top things off, the hospital seems to have lost my self referral form so I've still not got my booking in appointment and I'm eight weeks today! I totally sympathise with everyone else feeling rubbish. This early bit is grim...
