You have very good friends toast not asking why you were not drinking! I think I am now going to say that I'm off the booze for a month as have drank loads recently with ski holiday and parents visiting Grin In great timing a couple in our group have just announced that they are also not drinking in March so it works out quite well!

My weekend is Fri and Sat - yesterday I took my mum for a spa day as a belated Christmas present which was lovely except that being in first trimester I wasn't allowed any treatments or to use the jacuzzi, steam room or sauna! So other than not being able to do anything at all and still having to pay 40 quid for the privilege of going in it was fab! My mum really enjoyed it though so that is the main thing. Off to a baby shower today!

gaggiagirl · 28/02/2015 08:05

So sorry shield. I hope you're being well looked after.
Morning ladies. Please tell me I'm not the only one with a little bump.

Choccywoccydodah · 28/02/2015 08:37

So sorry Shield. It's the most awful feeling in the world to lose a baby, noatter what stage. I hope you have masses of support in RL. All the best for the future, and cuddle your dc that extra bit more

Choccywoccydodah · 28/02/2015 08:38

How far are you gaggia?
I'm only just before 6 weeks and feel a lot more bloated Blush

gaggiagirl · 28/02/2015 09:15

choccy 8+2 I dunno if its the mega bloat or baby or water but I look pg!

Ladypug · 28/02/2015 09:58

I have a small bump too but I'm thinking it must just be bloating, I'm only 6 weeks. I'm strategically dressing and standing a certain way so nobody notices at work although nobody seems to have noticed. They think it's stranger that I'm snacking on crackers!

LakeOfDreams · 28/02/2015 10:05

I hadn't really lost my baby belly from 6 months ago although clothes still fit so can't be that bloated!!

gaggiagirl · 28/02/2015 10:49

I've had a good look at myself and I think 'thick waisted' is the best way to describe it. I'm really small so this bean has no where to hide.

Choccywoccydodah · 28/02/2015 11:49

Gaggia I like that ha ha! Thick waisted Grin
I've not much symptom wise, but I didn't with ds either. All I've got is this bloating, I'm just so tired and my nips hurt! Roll on Tuesday's scan!!

Anyone doing anything this weekend?
Going out with some friends this evening, but that's all here. They know all about what's been going on, but not that I'm preg so know they'll be questions, which I don't mind :)

Ladypug · 28/02/2015 12:21

I've just got back from coffee with a friend and I'm exhausted lol, might read a book this avo or watch a film x

AnnaBegins · 28/02/2015 12:43

So sorry shield, will be praying for you. God knows the plans he has for us and I'm sure a sticky bean is just around the corner.

LakeOfDreams · 28/02/2015 13:16

DH has gone to play football and I've been cleaning the house, tempted to go for a walk but I'm working 12.5 hrs tomorrow so need get all of his work clothes washed. Might stick them on then go out for a walk although it's freezing and grey outside Netflix is so much more appealing!!

Choccywoccydodah · 28/02/2015 13:40

Yes a film is more interesting that freezing my already sore tits off :)
We've just got the Lego out with ds instead. He's been to rugger and didn't want to go to the park afterwards so Lego it is!

Cineraria · 28/02/2015 15:07

Sorry to hear your bad news Shieldbug. Hope you're not in too much pain. It's good to hear that your husband and children are such a comfort to you while you're feeling so sad. Take care of yourself.

MrsEvansAlmost · 28/02/2015 15:16

sorry to hear your news shieldbug thinking of you Thanks Thanks

lady I have a bean bump already. I'm 9 weeks and had a flat stomach and apparently a tiny waist. I now have a cheese lip and there is no disgusting the fact my boobs have grown to cup sizes! I was a big b small c depending on the shop now getting into d cups and still not containing the twins properly. dp is loving this pg symptom, the bugger!!

I told DH the other day that I can't understand how I have managed to lose six pounds since I found out I was pregnant but at the same time gained an inch and a half round my middle. The cheeky so and so came out with "Well you seem to be producing a lot of extra gas at the moment, so maybe it's filling up your insides and helping to lift you off the scales a bit, like a helium balloon!"

Ladypug · 28/02/2015 18:49

Haha I love this Cineraria I went and bought a strategic top today that cleverly skims over the area - I think this should do the trick and it's black!

Steph2310 · 28/02/2015 19:37

I'm pretty bloated so trying to dress strategically but I've just lost 2 and a half stone so I think people will think I'm just putting it back on!

batfish · 01/03/2015 06:22

I suddenly look like I have a small bump but at 8 weeks with my first pregnancy I know that's pretty unlikely so it would appear I'm growing a food baby! Have eaten soooo much this week with my mum staying on holiday - she left this morning so time to crack down, I can't go into maternity trousers yet!!

Ladypug · 01/03/2015 11:50

I feel like crap today, constantly feel sick but not actually being sick, no appetite but trying to eat little and often. Does anything help the nausea? I'm not sure I can work through this, feel like death! It gets better, right? x

AuntieDee · 01/03/2015 13:00

I went for a curry for my birthday and my baby decided it didn't like curry :( I have had no sickness so far but managed to lose a whole meal... Bizarrely felt ok after and had (and kept down) pudding...

I'm going for an Italian tonight - hope baby likes Italian...

Ca55andraMortmain · 01/03/2015 13:52

We went for the early scan today and baby has a strong heartbeat! Lady apologised that it was too early to see much but that little flicker on the screen was all I wanted. It is starting to feel real for the first time!
Lady and auntie I'm still feeling crap as well and being sick anywhere between 3 and 10 times a day. Horrendous but scan has made me feel much more positive about it all!

Choccywoccydodah · 01/03/2015 14:52

How lovely ca55 :)
Glad you feel reassured. How far along are you now?
Hoping I get to see something on Tuesday at 6 weeks (I have to have fortnightly scans).
All good here. No spotting or bleeding WOOHOO!!!

Am feeling ok in myself, just nips a bit sensitive and feel a bit sicky today and no appetite. Have just had some Philly cheese and biscuits and didn't help. Also tired and having numerous poos!! Blush

Told our friends last night so it's nice to have some support now. We're going to Dublin for a few days with them in April so I think they're a bit gutted I won't be drinking lol!! But I rarely do anyway tbh.

And on another note, I haven't picked my phone up all flippin day and as soon as I do dh wants a bloody conversation and ds wants me to play!

Steph2310 · 01/03/2015 15:10

Feeling rotten too - apparently ginger helps but I haven't got any in to try. All I want to do is lie down and sleep at the moment!
