Twinge and sharp stabbing pains are probably from the uterus growing. I had them a lot with dd but not much at all with this one... Cue worrying already, thankfully I go on holiday next weekend then away with dh only for a couple of days. Basically have a busy lovely couple of weeks. Hopefully have a scan date by the time we return from skiing holiday!

Cineraria · 20/02/2015 15:48

I just noticed there is a November thread. We're no longer the newcomers here!

When I joined this thread I looked at the September one too as I wasn't sure if my date would be 30 September or 1 October and they all seemed so far along that I opted for this one anyway. I'm so glad to have reached eight weeks.

I had a follow-up scan at the EPU today after my bleed two weeks ago and they said everything looked back to normal. Hope it keeps that way!

WinterBabyof89 · 20/02/2015 17:37

I'm torn on which bus join!! So I'm going to join both & see where best I fit in..

Hi all!

I started the Nov thread as my period date puts me on 01/11. However baby will be an October baby if all goes well due to early CS.

Anybody due around the end of October on here??

MsAR · 20/02/2015 18:04

Hi winter, I'm due near the end of the month too. When did you find out you were pregnant? I was a bit too scared to hope, so didn't test until Wednesday.

WinterBabyof89 · 20/02/2015 18:16

Hi MsAR - I remember your bfp on the Feb bus Smile
Pancake day - I tested early at 11dpo because I felt pregnant & don't have your willpower! Haha

MsAR · 20/02/2015 18:28

That will power is going to be sorely tested. I'm desperate to tell friends and family but think it's sensible to wait until 12 weeks.

WinterBabyof89 · 20/02/2015 19:03

Same! Good luck keeping closed lips - you'll be fine & will be nice to have a picture to show everybody.

With my other pregnancies I've told them straight away, but keeping this one to ourselves for a while :)

I'm gonna see how long I can last without blurting it out, or them guessing! MIL came around today and I had to do a quick clean up of the several bfps lying around the house (I've done one every day so far & like to admire them from time to time haha!)

I'm actually hoping to get to 17 weeks before anybody notices as I'd quite like to know the gender before I reveal - unlikely getting that far but I can try! completely kidding myself here, do not have the willpower for that haha

Grainwhole · 20/02/2015 19:21

Winter I think I'm due Oct 26th-ish.

So torn between not wanting any symptoms and then panicking I have no symptoms! I had the worst, all day every day 'morning' sickness last time, and soooo hoping to be able to be one of the jammy ones who avoid that this time! Yes it was a constant source of reassurance I was still up-cuffed, but totally not worth it - I'd prefer to just spend all our worldly goods on reassurance scan after reassurance scan (which we did anyway, grr!)

Mumwannabe82 · 20/02/2015 19:25

That's really good news cineraria Smile because they said I was 8+1 I could actually be in the wrong thread too but I like this one so I'm sticking to it lol xx

Mumwannabe82 · 20/02/2015 19:30

Mrsevans I have had a sharp twinge here and there and everything is fine so try not to worry too much xx oh have had it both sides and the middle too x

WinterBabyof89 · 20/02/2015 19:46

Yay - hi grain

I will also be lining the pockets of my local sonography studio.. Grin pfft.. Who needs money anyway??!

martinsgirl · 20/02/2015 19:49

Booked a viability scan, which is tonight at 9.45 (provided I can stay awake that long haha). So nervous!! Excited to see the baby but mostly terrified that something will be wrong. Suppose I will be worried about the baby for the rest of my life so may as well start now lol.

g0ldie · 20/02/2015 20:43

Hello room for one more? Edd 30.10.15! Very excited but also pretty anxious. Have had three pregnancys, a beautiful ds and two early mc. So exciting to see some of you are 8 weeks and seeing heartbeats congratulations! It helped last time to have targets so first target is to make it to 5 weeks!

MsAR · 20/02/2015 20:57

G0ldie, welcome to the thread. I like your idea of little targets. It might help me to do the same as October is so far away. It's baby number 1 for me so I'm feeling pretty clueless.

g0ldie · 20/02/2015 21:04

Thank you MsAR! It helped last time but doesn't stop it being an awfully long time until 12 weeks!!

shieldbug · 20/02/2015 21:15

Hello all! It's been ages since my last post, partly as I felt like a bit of a fake due to lack of symptoms and was sure it was all over. I've also been dealing with ds 1 and 2 getting chickenpox, family illness and a loss in the family, so it's been all go here! Well, anyway, at 8 1/2 weeks, I swelled up some more, felt stretching pains and have felt lovely and pg ever since. I've got my booking appt for the 2nd March and am feeling much more positive now.

To all those worrying about pains, generally speaking a certain amount of pain is normal, even mild stabbing pains, but if starts to become severe, go and get seen straight away just to rule out any complications/ ectopic pg. I get really uncomfortable each pg thanks to my fibroids, but I just expect it now (the lack of pains was what previously scared me!).

Welcome to all the newbies and good luck martinsgirl for your scan.

alien11 · 20/02/2015 21:53

Hope scan goes well martins girl

batfish · 20/02/2015 22:12

Welcome newbies and congrats!!

We had a party tonight for hubby's bday - proper full on fancy dress loud music drinking party - and I survived the night by drinking appletise in a wine glass which totally looked like slightly too dark white wine! Nobody was any the wiser! I just topped up sneakily from the fridge when nobody was paying attention. Although I realised that oh my god how slow does time go when you're sober. It is 2am where I live and I've come to bed because I'm just bored of being awake not because I'm even that tired!

Had slight pains today, nothing remotely severe so I don't think I'm worried - I just felt a bit tender around the stomach area and now I feel a bit like I've been doing loads of sit ups! Also had a few occasions of thinking I was going to wee my pants but not much wee going on. So I'm hoping it's all good signs of things growing and nothing sinister!

martinsgirl · 20/02/2015 22:48

Back from scan, everything is looking good and saw the little flutter of its heartbeat :) I thought I was 6w6 and measured 7w2. Had to use the dildocam as apparently my uterus is tilted, which has freaked hubby out a bit haha!

WinterBabyof89 · 20/02/2015 22:51

Aww! Congrats martin

Bambino29 · 20/02/2015 22:57

So exciting to hear about people seeing heartbeats at scans, especially those who've had concerns. Great news.

Six weeks today and we're staying with friends who offered us a glass of wine as soon as we walked through the door - I said I was on a health kick. They've blatantly guessed but are being good and not pushing us on it! The next six weeks just can't go fast enough!

Have a great weekend everyone. X

alien11 · 21/02/2015 08:25

Great news martinsgirlSmile

alien11 · 21/02/2015 09:01

So I get some town to myself ( about an hr!) and want to get back to the gym.
Is there anything I need to avoid? I've been feeling really lethargic and I know partly pregnancy but partly pure laziness on my part. Exercise will also make me feel happier I'm sure as feeling pretty pants at the mo.

I Can't seem to find any advice online re weights etc when pregnant?

batfish · 21/02/2015 09:03

alien is it a proper gym with instructors? Hopefully they will be able to advise about what is safe for you.

batfish · 21/02/2015 09:07

This time is going so slowly, I can't cope! I'm so worried things aren't OK - boobs are only slightly sore now for the past few days where I was in absolute agony before, has anyone else had sore boobs that have eased off already?! I'm only 7 weeks! I only have to wait another 2 weeks to next scan but it feels like such a long time.
