eallison88 Envy that's amazing! what kind of cookies? i wish mine knew the first thing about making sweet things, I'm addicted to them!
Dh just made me a nice big plate of spag bol with salad though, so he's doing all right too Smile

eallison88 · 09/02/2015 15:10

Just plain vanilla cookies; he decided not to be too adventurous seeing as I've Barely kept anything down since early last week! Tasty tho!

Lalunya85 · 09/02/2015 15:15

Thanks gooorooo, that's very helpful. I've just email my employer to check if they have something in place and if not if they could set it up. The changes are coming into effect this coming autumn, but if you are already signed up under the old scheme then you can stay with it for as long as you are employed by the same company.

Kittykitty05 · 09/02/2015 16:06

alien so pleased to hear all is okay, frustrating about the dates tho!

I'm hoping all will be okay for me maternity wise, I only work 1 or 2 days a week, and the maternity allowance isn't much less than my wages. I'm currently on an assignment doing intervention teaching 2 days a week which won't go beyond July anyway so when school finishes for the summer I'll start mat leave, hurrah!

shinjuku09 · 09/02/2015 16:12

That's fab news Alien (sorry if missed any other scan news.

So glad to hear you're feeling a bit better eallison

DoctorDonnaNoble · 09/02/2015 16:41

Excellent to hear everyone's news! The main reason we'll be tightening our belts significantly is that we're moving in to a brand new house next month which will see our mortgage payments going up considerably. I think we worked out that mortgage + bills = DH's salary. Guess we know I'm definitely going back to work then!

alien11 · 09/02/2015 16:56

Here's blob Smileim worried about the dates not matching up but hopefully be ok.

alien Aww, lovely pic. Sweet little worm.

If they said it's all good and you have nothing to worry about, then that's definitely true! They do this day in, day out, so try to relax... I know, easier said than done Smile

alien11 · 09/02/2015 17:00

spam oh that nice to hear someone else having same thing! that's the disadvantage of early scans I guess. The lady said I may have ovulated much later than normal. Keep thinking baby is small but she said it's not as if it wasn't right size for dates it would have a slower heartbeat and other characteristics but it has a super strong heartbeat so all normal.
Still hasn't sunk in but glad I know something is there just hoping it carries on and grows well. Must start eating good diet .... Lots of fruit and veg here I come

sebsmummy1 · 09/02/2015 17:01

Aaaah lovely photo Alien Grin. I know the date difference is going to niggle at you but a heartbeat is a heart beat and just finding one takes your miscarriage stats way low. Maybe try and have another scan at 9 weeks and put your mind at rest that everything is on track week wise.

I have felt marginally better today!! It's my birthday this weekend so we are off on holiday this Friday. My 12 week scan is pretty much when I get back so it's all go.

If my scan photo is very good there is a chance my friend might be able to tell me the sex. I'm very excited lol!!!

Bippidee · 09/02/2015 17:19

Anyone else's hair falling out? I can't remember when it stopped last time!

alien11 · 09/02/2015 17:21

sebsmummy yes that's a good idea although I'll be skiing at 9 weeks then hopefully wont be long until the 12 week scan. If the sonographer and doc who was present were ok with it I'll take their word for it. Just hope baby continues to grow as it should.
I'm lucky that as soon as I fly off on holiday I then have busy weekends so countdown to any scan should go quickly. Tempting to have another scan but I think the strong hb should be reassuring also I didn't even have one early scan with my dd.

Means the podge I've developed is not from a baby ha

stuffthenonsense · 09/02/2015 17:27

Congrats alien, that must be a relief! I'm a sahm too so no mat pay or leave or anything here either, those last few weeks are tough. Today has been a bugger of a day and DH has just walked in with a big box of chocs and is taking over the childcare for a whole hour...cup of tea, box of chocs, crappy tv...bliss

alien11 · 09/02/2015 17:32

stuffthenonsense wow what a lovely DH! Tonight is DHs night to put DD to bed so I can sit on my butt. Although feel a bit silly now as so early in pregnancy.

misssmilla1 · 09/02/2015 17:35

Just got back from a long weekend in Vegas, (humblebrag much..) as the OH is at a conference there. Had fab weather but I must have been the only sober person there, wasn't quite what I imagined when we booked it! Got terrible jetlag today and the flight was really uncomfortable, now struggling with the usual heartburn and constipation. Had a really odd bout of stabbing searing hot pain under my right breast for about 24 hours on Saturday - not sure it's preggers related as it's happened once before. OH keeps muttering about it being gallbladder issues Confused have my 8week scan this Thursday so will add it to the long list of things to ask the OB-GYN about

ag123 · 09/02/2015 17:39

Sorry to be a terrible moaner but...I feel so tired I want to cry...AGAIN! Worked this morning and actually felt pretty ok but just getting a couple of small jobs done this afternoon has wiped me out. So want to be a nice partner for DH who is doing so much at the mo but all I want to do is crash out/sleep :-(

Treaclepie19 · 09/02/2015 17:43

Sending hugs ag, my dh is just doing our dinner as I really can't be bothered to eat never cook.
He also sorted lunch and washed up yet again.
It's hard work growing a baby!

Been such a pig last few wks, must have put on half stone since Christmas :-( currently om exercise bike, gentle to break myself back into it

alien11 · 09/02/2015 18:03

I need to get back on it weds morning when dd at pre school. Not sure what to avoid? Guessing nothing really, I just do weights really to tone up. Abdominal crunches ok ?

DoctorDonnaNoble · 09/02/2015 18:31

Another vote here for the absolutely exhausted and having DH making dinner!
With regards exercise my PT had me doing the plank rather than crunches. I know that you're not meant to do exercise on your back after the 2nd trimester (I think).

Treaclepie19 · 09/02/2015 18:48

Hurrah... I just ate some cabbage, leek and potato.

Now to keep it down...

Is anyone else only at 5weeks or just me?

alien11 · 09/02/2015 19:23

Hope it stays down treacle

Mummyboo30 · 09/02/2015 19:28

Bippidee I was thinking that myself yesterday. Mine is still falling out plenty, although not in the huge handfuls it was before Xmas.

Felt like crap today, can't even really describe it. Just so so so tired of was like my brain had been replaced by fluff. :(
DH stayed at home to help look after DD, bless him! :)

Treaclepie19 · 09/02/2015 19:37

Thank you x
It has stayed down and I had some melon too.

Proud of myself! Haha.
