I'm still waiting for an appointment with the midwife so no scan date for me yet :( So tempted to have a 9 week scan.
My 6 week ones reassurance is wearing off.

You still haven't heard about booking in Treacle - that seems a bit odd. I heard a good month before my appointment! It's another example of the differing experience of ante-natal care across the country that really winds me up. Are you going to be chasing them up?

I've phoned twice now to chase it up. There left a message in the midwifes book for her to ring me on Wednesday.

That's the problem really because she's only in on a Wednesday morning so if she doesn't ring ive missed her.
Definitely sorting it this week even if I have to go up and find her.

I haven't had a scan date through either Treacle, and I'm 10+1! So frustrating. I had my booking in with the midwife on Thursday and she was going to contact them, hopefully I'll get my letter through in the next couple of days!

Somewere, I've been the exact same either a really dodgy tummy or never going it's odd eh? I asked me midwife and she told me it can happen just to watch what I eat as some foods can trigger it

Good luck with everyones scans today. I'm only 7 weeks today, should hopefully get my scan date through this week. Hoping to get through the day without vomiting!

I've chased my midwife team as hadn't had any paperwork or appointments through.

My mw booking in is when I'm 12wks and then scan will be booked after that. When I questioned they said they can scan up to 14wks for the fold.

They gave me the dates over the phone which is good as I still haven't received the letter.

They said it's got busy - September rush.

4 days til my scan, will be good being able to tell people. When I had my others it was pre Facebook. The done thing now seems to be to make an announcement with a scan picture, is that what everyone's doing? Tbh life overall isn't great atm so I'm really looking forward to having people congratulate me for something.

Really hoping to get some letters from the hospital today! I'm waiting for my scan date and dds hospital app for her op :/ 9 weeks today so hopefully 3 weeks more until I can tell the dds they're getting their little brother or sister.
Being sooo lazy and fat today :( 2nd load of laundry in and am currently sitting on my big arse, have eaten a bag of pork scratchings (the salt content is supposed to help raise my blood pressure! Plus they're bloody lovely and ease my nausea) and a bowl of sugar puffs. So much to get done in the house and I just cannot be bothered :(
I have got m cross trainer and exercise bike out though so am going to attempt them to help get the weight off :/ I'd lost 11lbs but weighed this morning and have gained 2lbs back (won't mention that we had Chinese for dinner last night though).
Is anyone else here self employed? I'm planning on starting my mat leave in August (mid to late August) and return to work around feb but I'm terrified it'll be the end of my business as I'll have to turn so many people away, they'll ind someone else they prefer and never come back :/

Feeling sorry for myself today. Managed two days of not puking to lose my tea this morning on the way to the station.

My IBS is now horrible and I have to run to the loo and it also looks like I have piles.

What is it you do spam? I did beauty last year with the intention of doing it from home in also a hairdresser but I've not really got round to doing it yet as I thought what's the point when I wanted another baby anyway? The room is set up and I do family but that's it, waste really! I couldn't do much before as with 3 kids there was enough to do and my husbands hours were all over the place but now he has a new job with set hours and every weekend off which is brill compared to what we had, feel a bit guilty for not working now tho! I have worked in the past around the children but I'm kind of lucky I don't have to work at the moment, however I will have to do something in a few years!
And I should also be getting on cleaning but I can't be arsed either! I'm just pottering and picking something up then having a snack then doing a bit more then having a rest! I'm off to aquafit this afternoon, tomorrow I'm going shopping only window lol think I may have to have a cheeky look in mothercare at a pram I fancy!

So, I just looked at my maternity leave entitlement. Guess I was really naïve I didn't expect the pay to drop so much so quickly. Now worrying about being able to afford everything - we're moving to a new (much more expensive) house at the end of next month as well!

jackie i didnt bother with telling anyone on FB last time round, casually dropped it j fb conversations at about 6mths lol. Ill prob send pm/text to family / good friends on FB that I never see (due to location), otherwise wont bother again until birth announcement. Surprised quite a few last time when pic of beautiful DS at 1 day old appeared!

I was naughty and called the hospital as DH needs to get the date booked off, they've already booked me in..... In 30 days time :( waaaa, 4 weeks 2 days to wait and I'll be 13+2 by then. Worst bit is, my dds op is supposed to be the day before, so she'll either have been discharged the morning of the scan or maybe still be in the hospital at that point :/ not sure what to do about that at all :/

laura I'm a cake maker, birthdays, weddings etc :/I'm thinking as I can use 10 KIT days I may be able to take only wedding orders while I'm on mat leave but there are so many cake makers round here, I'm worried my customers will go find someone else who turns out to be cheaper or something and not come back to me :( I have a massive wedding cake booked 2 weeks before my due date and another a month after my due date that I just don't know what to do with. Not sure how I'm going to move and decorate a 5 tier cake with a frickin massive bump in the way :/ not to mention the summer heat still hanging around :(

We asked for the first one of the day due to husbands work.

Could you maybe pass the one after your baby's born to someone else? Not ideal I know, the one before baby will give you something to do those last few weeks drag don't they.

I think I'll announce it with a scan pic I've never done that before!

quin I was thinking of waiting until the letter comes through and asking them to bring it forward a couple of days so I don't have to worry about it when I have a poorly dd. worried they could only make it later though and I'm going to go out of my mind waiting until March 11th as it is, I don't think I could wait any longer :( and how on earth am I going to hide the secret for another 4+ weeks from dd1?! Dd2 is easy as she's not as aware but dd1 is nosey and I'm sure she already suspects :/
