Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 21st grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 38th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

They won't tell you that Deeply. I can't believe you're running a 10k, don't you know pregnancy is an excuse to sit on your bum and eat chips?

I'm now imagining your DP has some exclusive apartment on Park Lane Pis. It's v cheap where I live I think. Well compared to down south anyway.

Lauren, why have your hands swollen up? My fingers did a little so my ring didn't fit but not to that extent. Do you think you should call midwife?

LaLaLaaaa · 15/02/2015 02:48

Just in from work...last shift I think coz I'm knackered!

I'm concerned coz still not feeling anything at 18+5. Is that normal?

willywallace · 15/02/2015 03:28

Do you mean movements La? It's totally normal for a first pg . Although you may be feeling them but just not sure what they are.

laurenamium · 15/02/2015 08:13

Morning viroids, wil the swelling seems to have gone down a bit over night. I still can't get my ring off so not totally but they're not hurting anymore. Ill see how they are tonight, I'm seeing my consultant tomorrow and having a scan so if they swell again ill mention it to her then. It was very painful!

DulcetMoans · 15/02/2015 08:18

I thought you felt pavements the other day la? Something flipped over and bubbling I think you said. Do you mean symptoms? Movements aren't constant at this stage, please don't panic.

Is swelling water retention lauren? I'm not sure how you can fix it but maybe call midwife in case it indicates a wider problem.

Good on you for doing the 10k deeply. I did 10 miles for first and last time in Oct and done no good distance since. I did a 10k with a friend who was about 11 weeks pregnant couple years ago but that was her last time out as she felt exhausted afterwards. Drink lots, take it easy and take snacks for after! Never seen someone scoff a banana as quick as she did that day!

I live in an ex-council estate with a bad reputation. That helps keep it cheap! Not great if we wanted to sell though - but we never had any trouble except that package thing with next door!

laurenamium · 15/02/2015 08:21

dulcet yes it's water, but I definitely drank enough water yesterday and dr google said I need to exercise more- only I had spent the whole of the morning exercising so its not that either. Ill bring it up tomorrow Smile

LaLaLaaaa · 15/02/2015 08:31

Yes sorry I meant movement. This is why I don't like the groups coz everyone there is talking about being able to feel baby move all the time. I felt movement a couple of times but nothing since.

I think though as you say it's too early. I'm not panicking though I'm just looking forward to it

Will read back through now

DulcetMoans · 15/02/2015 08:47

It's the same with the symptoms though, you don't feel it all the time and some people in that group are a couple weeks ahead anyway. Just try to remember it when you do feel stuff. There's not pattern to mine so can't figure out when it likes to wake up or sleep etc. just every now and again. Sure they will be poking us in the ribs in no time!

mountaingirl01 · 15/02/2015 08:48

la my dsis didn't feel anything properly till 22w if that helps?

Indigoblue2 · 15/02/2015 09:06

Thanks for the info wil and popz - that's really clear. I'm hoping my combined risk comes back as really low. I also googled some ultrasound examples of wider nuchal measurements and they do look totally different to mine, some are very obvious and wide.

I don't really have £400 spare. I mean, I suppose we could spend that if I we were really worried but dp is much more practical and laid back about these things and would take some persuading it was needed if my combined test comes back as low risk. It's rather expensive if the rest of the stuff is pointing towards you not even needing it.

la my bff who recently had her baby didn't feel anything till 20 weeks and ended up having a mega active baby who she felt all the time. Another friend also recently had one and hers she hardly felt all the way through, apparently because her placenta was on the front and it kind of cushions things, which makes it much harder to feel baby. So guess it depends where your placenta is too, although I personally think it's too early for you, even if your placenta isn't in front.

I don't really feel pregnant at all just now!

lildottie · 15/02/2015 09:31

la I was reading an article online last night that says at 18 weeks you will start to feel movement in the next 4 weeks, so still time yet.

LaLaLaaaa · 15/02/2015 09:36

emits a knowing chuckle

I remember the days of thinking I was going to escape the ms etc...ahhh how wrong I was...

Nothing at all then woke up at 7.5 weeks feeling like I had the worst hangover on earth. Couldn't move, just wanted to lie on the sofa and eat crisps. I was never actually sick which was worse as I couldn't get rid of it. Went on for 4-5 weeks.

I really hope you do get away with it, but be prepared just in case...stockpile the Ginger Nuts now

Spreadsheet - You need to edit in google drive, think a few of you have now done it. Not possible to do on a phone or tablet

I have house envy lil! We had a lovely flat in Musselburgh before we moved here - typical Scottish property with high ceilings and big rooms. We bought corresponding large antique furniture including kingside bed and 6 person dining table. We stripped that house down as it was a wreck and remade it, it was amazing. I then got offered this job and we moved here (south east).

The houses here are tiny! My house is like a miniature thing, our bed fills the whole bedroom (hence my issues finding crib to fit) and dining table has to be stored at my mums. I hate it!!! It's so frigging pokey! We are just renting. Plan is to have baby then move back home and I'll be able to breathe again as we will have space. You get so much more for your money up north. This place is twice as much as our old house.

Mountain are you allowed to use stickers? Etsy do lovely nursery decoration sticker sets. Zyla did her nursery in similar way. They just peel off when you need to move.

Thanks for link cym! Hope you're enjoying your holiday :)

wil how was last night?

lauren are you still wearing rings? Might be best to take them off if so. It sounds like dehydration/fluid retention build up. Can you get dp to massage you?

willywallace · 15/02/2015 09:47

Ah well it was better than the night before La, at least. I get some sleep if she lies on top of me - would never have done that with pfb. She is just in so much pain whenever she's awake though, I feel so bad for her. Might have to try getting an emergency appointment tomorrow as Friday feels like ages away.

lildottie · 15/02/2015 09:49

ok I'm freaking out test was a bit lighter yesterday and WAY lighter today. I doubt I would bleed if something went wrong because of the drugs. Sad

Indigoblue2 · 15/02/2015 09:54

lil post us some pics for comparison maybe? I stopped POASing after a short while because I knew that any change would cause unnecessary anxiety. I think lines lightening is more common than you'd think though.

RPopz · 15/02/2015 09:55

Are you doing them at same time every day Lil? Have you been drinking more? Sometimes the line gets lighter because hcg is very high (nonsensically)... can be case in multiples (Grin Shock ). A line is a line still! When's your next app? Try not to panic x

lildottie · 15/02/2015 10:11

the hook effect - but its too early for it to be that surely?
I'm peeing same time when alarm goes off but testing a bit after when I've woken up.
dh just made me squeeze another wee out (I've drunk one sip of water this morning) and do another one but I can't see anything on it. surely if it was high levels smu would pick up a darker line. fuck fuck fuck

mountaingirl01 · 15/02/2015 10:16

Hook effect can work much earlier with multiples lil... Breathe... Do you have an emergency pregnant woman freak out number you can call? I imagine the clinic will be happy to blood test if necessary?

lildottie · 15/02/2015 10:31

I kinda think if I phone them they'll just tell me I'm being stupid. diluted the urine to do another test (to price hook effect) and waiting for it to dry. still a line on opk but not as dark as the one I did last week. I'm so scared its over before its begun and I'm so angry I carried on testing!

Indigoblue2 · 15/02/2015 10:38

lil I would call them to try to put your mind at rest. I'm sure it's all ok, you're not having cramps or bleeding and that's the main thing. But a phone all would help you feel better I reckon. I totally understand (as all of the other girls do) that terrifying feeling that something is wrong. I'm not sure what the hook effect is but if mountain etc are saying higher chance of that with multiples, that could also be the cause. Keep breathing and remember, you aren't having cramps and you aren't bleeding.

mountaingirl01 · 15/02/2015 10:39

If the worst is they can tell you you're being silly and the best they put your mind at ease, I say ring them lil. I'm sure everything is OK, but I know this fear and it's awful x

Indigoblue2 · 15/02/2015 10:44

And lil don't play it down to them to be accommodating. When I woke up with dizziness and cramps in the night and phoned epu, they said to come in and get checked for ectopic. They examined me and decided that it wasn't ectopic but didn't want to scan as sonographer obvs not available at 4am! I was so worried that I pleaded with them for dildocam, and the most lovely senior doctor came in and said she'd do it for me, and it put my mind at rest. If I'd have just said "ok don't worry", I wouldn't have got a scan and would have been shitting it for weeks.

Indigoblue2 · 15/02/2015 10:45

Not normally an awkward cow like this at all but early pregnancy concerns/fear is a whole different ball game!

Pisghetti · 15/02/2015 10:53

Further to having a higher chance of being a twin pregnancy, it'll also be a twin pregnancy with two developing placentas from two independent embryos and so the highest levels of HCG. Hope the clinic can put your mind at rest x

lildottie · 15/02/2015 10:54

Here's a pic of all my lines. Far right is SMU today as it was darker than fmu.
