New (and probably) final thread for those of us due in March (with a few lovely February ladies who didn't want to leave).

Thank you for checking that theone! My cousin told me earlier she didnt think she got one and it freaked me out a bit.

Fingers crossed for you with the dx :( hope its nothing to worry about!

M27J5M · 19/02/2015 16:59

Welcome M1985

Sorry to hear some of you are suffering :(

I was at consultant today, baby is down and locked in position, maybe to go in next week for an iron transfusion and if baby isn't here by my next app (5th March) then I'll be given a date to be started at roughly 39 weeks

theonewiththenoisychild · 19/02/2015 17:49

gudgy oh reminded me i had anesthetic then spinal then i was sick went very hot and had to be lay down as had gone all floppy. what with that and the sexy surgical stockings i must have looked sooooo attractive Grin

M1985 · 19/02/2015 22:04

Thanks for the welcome ladies.

Has anyone else been feeling quite ill towards the end? For about 5 weeks I've had a bad stomach, diarrhoea (sorry!) almost constantly, foul tasting burps, hot flushes that on occasion have lasted all night, I am currently led in bed with a wet flannel on my head!! Had dizzy spells & nausea & just generally feeling ill!
I remember having a bad stomach towards the end with my first but it was so long ago I can't remember much! So fed up of feeling ill though & potentially have another 5 weeks of this! Both dd1 & dd2 were 12 days late!!!

Also whilst im moaning Grin My midwife really annoyed me!! I've been quite careful this time with eating as I put on 4st with both dd's and didn't want to put on as much this time. I was weighed Monday at my 36wk app as usual, she told me I'd put on 2.5 stone, I was pleased! That was about what I expected and assuming you loose about a stone at birth, 1.5st seemed realistic to get off after. But no, midwife said I've put on wayyyy too much weight! Double the recommend amount, I'm measuring big & will need a growth scan & a diabetes test, (even though she said baby doesn't palpate big) my birthing centre birth is pretty much out & I should join exercise classes and actually try and loose weight in the last 4 weeks!!! I was wayyyyy bigger with Dd2 and never had any of this crap!! Arrghhh!! Thank God this is my last baby!! X

theonewiththenoisychild · 19/02/2015 22:29

m1985 yes ive been feeling awful and had most of what you have mentioned. im due 29th march but going to see consultant wednesday to book my section for around 39 weeks

Hope26 · 19/02/2015 22:38

Hello ladies. I'm 27 and expecting my first baby on 22nd of March after suffering a mmc last year in April. I was heartbroken and once I quickly conceived again, I started looking at this thread but never found the courage to post. Now that I have less than 5 weeks before my bundle of joy arrives, I feel it's the right time. Although this has been such a tough pregnancy, full of worry and anxiety, I've actually made it this far so I'm praying it all goes well from here. I have bought most of the baby necessities.. this is going to be one spoilt baby. Don't know the gender as DH wanted a surprise. I will keep you all posted. The ladies who have experienced a mc, I totally understand how you feel and I pray that you all conceive soon. It's tough but we are strong and we will get through this experience.

Hope all that are expecting soon have an easy labour and delivery and have healthy babies.

Theonewiththenoisychild I'm sorry to hear you've been feeling rough too, it's hard work isn't it. I find it especially hard as I have a 4yo & 2yo, eldest is at school & I still have to get up & get everyone ready & do the school run no matter how Ill I feel :(

Hi Hope26 im new here too :)

Jannywannywoohoo · 20/02/2015 00:56

m33r · 20/02/2015 07:06

Hi m1985 and hope!

m1985 I've gained just under 2 stone and am really chuffed and feel like I look really well (and nirmal) if a wee bit more of a double chin and a bit thicker legs. I'd ignore mw and just do what you need to to get to the end.

I'm getting period like cramps occasionally - pretty sure not bh - and occasionally feel a bit nauseous but that's all. This makes me think he's staying in there forever where I want him out anything from a week today: 37+1 by then and stop work a week yesterday. Come on little guy - get ready to meet us! We're all waiting!!! Grin

theonewiththenoisychild · 20/02/2015 10:41

m1985 i know what you mean about the school run my dc's are 4 and 7 and both at school. but they have been off all week for half term. i was happy to have them at home but will be glad monday when they go back to school now. As i have a lot of things to get sorted before baby elijah arrives

Gudgyx · 20/02/2015 11:01

I've only put on 1st 4lb so far, and I'll be 38 weeks tomorrow. Literally all in the bump, I have put on no weight anywhere else whatsoever. Still dont look pregnant sitting down!

Last day of work today! 5 days leave next week, then baby coming out via sunroof on the Monday. This pregnancy has absolutely flown in!!!

shelley1977 · 20/02/2015 12:16

Ive put on 8lb but I was overweight to start with and had no appetite this pregnancy and really struggle to eat. Nothing has been mentioned at hospital and baby is good size. My previous pregnancies I've put on usually 2st or more!

theonewiththenoisychild · 20/02/2015 12:35

i dont know how much weight ive put on. we dont own bathroom scales. im not worrying about weight until after baby arrives and ive recovered from surgery. good bit about a section is you do get a bit of a tummy tuck while theyre at it Smile

fourmonthstogo · 20/02/2015 13:56

I've put on about 2 1/2 stone, BMI fine pre pregnancy, which I'm not that pleased about but not remotely suprising given how much I've been eating. But I'm not worrying about it, I'm sure it'll all come off in due course!

MooMaid · 20/02/2015 14:57

I refused to be weighed at my last appointment as I don't want the stress and hassle of knowing what I've put on. I haven't eaten tonnes but I haven't dieted either so it'll be whatever it is and I'll have to lose it once baby is safely here! Whilst I understand they need to know what's going on, it's hardly the most important issue unless you've gone totally OTT with your food!

fishfingerSarnies · 20/02/2015 16:02

Boobs started leaking today... Ewww

M27J5M · 20/02/2015 16:24

I don't even know what I weighed before pregnancy and don't own scales to weigh myself, got weighed at my booking in app but haven't been weighed since! I'm not fussed about my weight and if it's anything like my last pregnancy I'll drop majorly after baby is here then struggle for months to gain more :/ hoping this time that's not the case tho

m33r · 20/02/2015 17:11

But fish does that mean that the baby might be coming soon??

M27J5M · 20/02/2015 17:37

M33r leaking doesn't mean labour is near, can start leaking at 20 odd weeks onwards!

theonewiththenoisychild · 20/02/2015 17:42

same here fish

fishfingerSarnies · 20/02/2015 19:28

I wish it ment labour was immanent but I really don't think that's the case for me.
They think because I was so late last time I will go over again hence the reason they decided not to do my section before 40 weeks.

m33r · 20/02/2015 19:46

Ah sorry fish! If I had leaky boobs it would sill give me hope so prob best I don't have it.

Getting super uncomfy here now!

bouncesky · 21/02/2015 07:48

I've put on 3 stone! Will be interesting to see how I manage to lose that afterwards Hmm according to NHS I will be 40 weeks on Tuesday, although my dates and our original private scan gave the date as 3rd March and I think that is more accurate. No signs of labour here at all. How long do they leave you go over before they start putting pressure on to be induced? I really want to wait as long as possible after 3rd March before even thinking about being induced! I'm in no rush!

HollyBen · 21/02/2015 08:03

I dread to think how much weight I have put on. I lost 3 stone after DD was born and was determined not to put on as much this time, but cannot stop eating.....
They recommend induction at 40+12 here bouncesky I was booked in for it with DD but she was born at 40+11. Must say I didn't feel particularly pressured to be induced (though I know lots do). I was more than ready having suffered swelling in my hands and carpel tunnel from 6 months and my ankles from 7. I was barely mobile by 40 weeks and would gladly have done anything to get her out!!
