Ah nice to hear update donkir will be thinking of you!

A big happy birthday memphis!! Have a lovely day and spend all that money! Grin

geeky I was also up at 4am today but managed to get an hour back from 6:30-7:30am. You should definitely take a nap! Especially after glossing a door!

Thanks for reflexology tips, I'll try and get it sorted today. Even if it does just help me sleep that's got to be worth it!

GeekyHybrid · 30/01/2015 09:26

Happy Birthday Memphis, have a great day out and about Flowers Cake Wine

Bah! Measuring small for dates again! Mw pretty sure it's nothing but the joys of protocol means I'm off to the hospital to be scanned again!

suzimagoozi · 30/01/2015 10:04

Happy Birthday Memphis Thanks

Bang, I can relate. 4th growth scan today and I'm 40 + 1. I'm a bit over all the extra trips to the hospital. Either 2 buses or 3 train changes plus bus as the parking is soooo expensive there it's being saved for the real thing. Hope it all goes well

sandulacek · 30/01/2015 10:32

Good luck donkir keep us posted.

And happy birthday memphis

I'm off to work but just for lunch with my team. Haven't been there for 4 months so feeling weird.

BanglesSpangles · 30/01/2015 11:03

And happy birthday memphis!

Hung about at the hospital for an hour then had notes reviewed by a registrar who decided i didn't need a scan. Hey Ho, at least everyone's happy. Kinda wish I'd had the scan though because i know I'm going to start to worry that somethings wrong

PeppermintInfusion · 30/01/2015 11:47

Grinning, think Im going to go for an ECV myself now on Tuesday. Has a presentation check today as still breech but he has flipped about several since they first raised the issue (got an extra scan earlier this week after falling so checked then too).
The dr was able to manoeuvre junior quite easily just while feeling me as he hasn't engaged yet so she said ECV could work. DH isn't so sure, but his mum keeps telling him how dangerous it is etc Sad
I'm going to go on Tuesday anyway, dr assured me they'll tell me any risks etc beforehand and I can back out on Tuesday if I change my mind.

Are you off on mat leave yet? I'm not due to finish for another week (though working from home) but wondering if it would be better to be off after the ECV?

Minichuch · 30/01/2015 12:13

grinning peppermint when they did scan for breech did they tell you how big they estimated baby to be - I've got my breech scan next week and just wondered of could ask that also

freneticfox · 30/01/2015 12:23

Merry Birthday Memphis - have a great day :D Flowers

PeppermintInfusion · 30/01/2015 15:58

Yes mini, they told me the size as depends how much room there is for an ECV, if baby is big it would be too difficult/sore.

BanglesSpangles · 30/01/2015 16:13

Right, desk cleared, inbox empty, I think it could be time to start my maternity leave!

Am actually finding it a little bit hard to leave my desk- as soon as I go out the door of the office, my life is basically never going to be the same again! Meep!

sandulacek · 30/01/2015 16:35

Do it Bangles Smile

purpleteapig · 30/01/2015 16:46

Yay to starting mat leave bangles - it's a weird feeling knowing you're not gonna be back for months and all is changing for you while everything goes on as usual at work!

Went for a long walk in the forest earlier as was aware I've become a total couch potato this week (and also my son was born at 39+2, which I'll be tomorrow, so was thinking id try a bit of exercise to get things moving). So uncomfortable - felt I was walking like John Wayne!

HenriettaTurkey · 30/01/2015 16:49

Hello there. Any chance I can join you? I've been on the January thread for months, and am a week overdue with DS2. MW visited to give me a sweep today, and it doesn't look like he's in any hurry to come out - and cervix is still posterior. Induction booked for 5th Feb, which isn't even the beginning of the month!

Was wondering if you'd accept an addition as i feel that postnatally the February group would be much more relevant in terms of our babies' development and progress and so on...

And it'll take my mind off the fact that the little monkey should've been here ages ago! :)

BanglesSpangles · 30/01/2015 17:15

Hi Henrietta, join the party! :)

Finally managed to bring myself to leave the office after a full 10 minutes of piddling about on facebook. Feel like i need to do something tonight in recognition- going to try and entice oh out for dinner i think

JacktheLab · 30/01/2015 17:25

Bit mad here, just jumping on to say, extra maternity pad in my granny pants over my csection incision is a relevation, so much more comfortable!

donkir · 30/01/2015 17:29

Hi Henreietta welcome to the club.

Well still no baby and no flipping contractions. I've been for a wander and bouncing on the birthing ball but still nothing. MW said she thinks I'll go into spontaneous labour by this evening if not I'll be induced tomorrow morning.
I'm so bored and so tired.

sandulacek · 30/01/2015 17:29

Hi henrietta Smile

sandulacek · 30/01/2015 17:31

Great tip jack...noted!

Are you in the hospital donkir? Hope your mw is right.

Purpletoes · 30/01/2015 17:49

Happy birthday Memphis hope your boys are treating you today.

Oh donkir I have everything crossed for you. Smile

Welcome henrietta. Smile

Good tip jack. Smile

So today I had my 36 week growth scan for gd. Lo is measuring normal on the 50th percentile so it looks like the diet control is working.

That means unless she comes early I will be induced 22nd feb.

Heading out tonight to my work leaving dinner as there are 2 of us pg currently due within 5 days of each other. Looking forward to it but no Wine or pudding for me.
It's meze. So now bread. Just dips and meat. Wink

GeekyHybrid · 30/01/2015 17:52

Try get a bit of rest whilst you can donkir, sounds like you'll want the energy later! I'd also be tempted to send out the OH for a vindaloo, despite the heartburn! I can't wait to get rid of the indigestion - dreaming away!

Hi Henrietta, welcome to the Feb club!

Hope you've got your meal out bangles. I felt really weird leaving work for ML too, took a walk around the gardens and couldn't help but think how different everything would look by the time I got back - not least because they just do change each season so dramatically and I won't be there to see everything coming up etc.. And even since then, the 2nd in command has announced he's off to a new job, we're only a team of 6 so any change really can make a difference so I'm even more nervous now about how different it will be by next autumn :-/

Very productive day, as well as the door and a batch of laundry this morning, we got the final coat of paint on the nursery walls this afternoon AND I managed to dye my hair to cover the grey coming through AND sort my nails whilst waiting for the colour to develop :-D I think I'm getting vain in my old age but I just couldn't face all those 1st baby pictures showing me with grey hair - I want to be able to blame the child in later years for that ;-D

Thank you, everyone!!!!! Smile

freneticfox · 30/01/2015 18:14

Welcome Henrietta!

Had MW appointment today (am 38w tomorrow). My notes say 4/5 engaged which I believe is still quite high up? I know it's not an indication of labour, but I'm hoping he can hang on another week and a half so my ELCS doesn't become an EMCS!

Memphisbelly · 30/01/2015 18:22

Welcome henrietta the more the merrier!

Donkir, hoping it happens for you soon, I was so frustrated that after my waters went nothing happened...then bam it happened out of knowhere so hoping you aren't waiting too long. Try and rest, I was told that resting brings labour on as I was so worked up I wasn't dialating....get dh to give you a nice massage or to google reflexology points to bring on labour

Thank you all for the birthday wishes, I got spoilt and going for a curry soon. Went shopping and bought......a pair of leggings Grin (and socks and babygrows for baby and a jumper for dsGrin)

Its amazing how your body alters so quickly, not been able to wear my wedding ring as it made my skin flair up but its fine now.

WeaselWhisperer · 30/01/2015 19:01

Hi Everybody, is there any room for a (not so little) latecomer?!

I've been lurking for a few weeks now but have realised that I would really appreciate a bit of support and advice as a ftm from you knowledgeable lot when the bump arrives... EDD is 21st Feb and we are expecting a boy.

It's so exciting to see the babies arriving, it makes me want the little chap here even more!
