Brambles34 · 28/01/2015 19:12

Indeed. Smile Exciting times

Glossyflower · 28/01/2015 19:20

I it just me or does anyone else not feel pregnant?
With my first, I took a test a couple of days after late period, had been feeling a bit nauseous. DD wasn't planned and a bit of a shock plus I was getting married the following month.
This one was planned, period would be due tomorrow, feel a bit bloated like I do before I come on, but no nausea yet, I feel fine and wondering if I'm really pregnant!
I did 3 cheap tests, all with faint lines. Then a first response with a positive too.
Maybe I just can't believe it Grin

MrsEvansAlmost · 28/01/2015 19:30

I got my bounty pack from the doctor this morning I still don't believe I'm pregnant. I'm at my parents house now and can't bring myself to tell them! I'm only 5 weeks

TheGirlWhoPlayedWithFire · 28/01/2015 20:01

May I join?

I'm in shock, and a bit all over the place at the moment. This was definitely an accidental pregnancy and I've no idea about due dates just roughly October baby.

DH is like a child at Christmas as he wanted to add to our brood.

AngusAndElspethsThistleWhistle · 28/01/2015 21:12

That's lovely about your DH, Girl! Congrats!

How many do you have already?

Frenchfancies · 28/01/2015 21:14

Hello to all the newcomers and congrats, there's getting quite a few of us now... Yay! Smile

I'm sooooooo bloated the top button of my trousers is undone most of the time... unless of course im at home where I'm sporting my rather attractive saggy arsed joggers!

Laying in bed last night I was convinced I felt the baby move (yes I know that's impossible at 5 wks) and then realised it was a lot of trapped wind! So glamorous Grin

Allstoppedup, hope you've recovered from baby group! Hormones are great aren't they Confused

I'm off to see the midwife tomorrow for a chat, hope she's friendly and more reassuring than my statistic mad GP.

TheGirlWhoPlayedWithFire · 28/01/2015 21:16

Thanks angus

We have two DC, one at end of infants and one at end of primary.

It's like doing everything from scratch. I'm terrified!

AngusAndElspethsThistleWhistle · 28/01/2015 21:23

It'll be like riding a bike! It'll all come flooding back Grin.

Frenchfancies · 28/01/2015 21:25

I hope lucky is ok Confused

AngusAndElspethsThistleWhistle · 28/01/2015 21:28

I know - I hope she checks in soon. Have been thinking about her.

shieldbug · 28/01/2015 22:15

Wow, I don't read the thread for a few days and suddenly we've blossomed in numbers and bloomed with our tummies! mustbemad, I've got 3 socking great fibroids, also external, so I normally look about 3 months preggers (according to Drs notes). Now I'm actually pg, I am showing at 6 weeks and having to tell family before people guess. My Mum is still in shock!
Ds1 is over the moon, but is desperate for a girl this time.
To all worrying about cramps, twinges etc, try not to worry too much as a certain amount is normal as your body adjusts. Similarly light spotting is ok if brown. Having said that, I had a full-on heavy period with ds2 at approx 1-2 weeks and he survived, so its amazing how resilient babies can be.
alexsorry to hear about your job. Are you ok?
luckythinking of you
mrsevanswelcome!

MrsEvansAlmost · 28/01/2015 22:22

just been staring at my reflection trying to see a difference ( not likely at 5 weeks!) and noticed how veiny my boobs have become! I'm sure they weren't like it yesterday! dp doesn't mind examining them but his answer is never helpful when I ask if they look different!! Grin

WhereIsMyFurryHat · 28/01/2015 22:33

Can I join, 4 weeks today but have been having +tests since last Friday. I think I ovulated earlier than I should have.

This is my 4th (and last) baby if all goes well. I know a few people having their 4th babies currently and given others reactions people are going to think we are a bit mad.

No symptoms yet.

Frenchfancies · 29/01/2015 06:40

Hi furry, 4th baby whoop! Congratulations x

Frenchfancies · 29/01/2015 06:46

I'm normally such a sleepy head and I'm going to bed a bit later and waking up earlier and feel good for it? It must be because I'm not drinking half a bottle of red wine in evening anymore!

mustbemad71 · 29/01/2015 07:48

Hello all - *waves at newbies!

Shield: thanks, that makes me feel a bit better about the size of my tum. My big fibroid measured 10cm a few months ago and I'm so worried being pg will make it even bigger. I suppose the good news was that everything is prolapsing a bit but the damn thing has been holding it all up! I really don't want to tell anyone but I think I'll be like you at 6 weeks. Already had to purchase new fat lass jeans yesterday as by 3pm the "bump" is bigger and nothing is comfy round the tum. Shock

Lucky: any news? Hope you are ok x

MrsEvansAlmost · 29/01/2015 08:50

morning nausea has arrived today. not actually being sick, I think that would be better! boobs are defiantly going to explode today will have to dig out the sports bra later. dp is still moping around and shows no interest in our little pip ( google says I'm carrying a pip I think I'm carrying a whale!)
struggling not to go out and buy a baby grow to make it feel more real! Smile Wink

iusedtobecool · 29/01/2015 09:16

Can I join? BFP just a few days ago. Have one DS who will be 2.7 when his sibling arrives, all going well. Had an eptopic a few years back, so get an early scan a week tomorrow to check everything is where it should be.

With DS I got depression when pregnant, partly due to being terrified and
overwhelmed with horror stories from others. None of which came true! So
this time round I'm telling no-one apart from close family until it's obvious!

Does anyone else feel a bit guilty towards DC1? I can't imagine loving anyone as much as I love him, and he's such a tactile little boy, wanting hugs and sitting on my knee, how will he feel about his new sibling!? Ah well, got plenty of time to work around that!

No symptoms apart from sore boobs, but I had that last time too. :)

mustbemad71 · 29/01/2015 11:36

Hi Cool congrats and welcome Grin

Poor you having depression last pregnancy - that must have been tough. Please try not to feel guilty or worry. I had a 21 month age gap and my eldest adored her baby sister from day 1 and still does 13 years later! She didn't feel pushed out although she did want bottles again like the baby and decided to go back to nappies for a while too but I just went with the flow! We bought a present foe her "from the baby" on the dat ww came home from hospital and that really helped. Grin

mustbemad71 · 29/01/2015 11:38

PS a friend bought me this book - a good read!

is anyone else finding it odd adjusting to getting in the car? its like pip is having a mini protest because of the lack of room! (you are the same size as an apple pip stop protesting!!)

also skinny jeans are on with top button and flies undone. I don't want to buy growing lady jeans yet! Blush

cool ds1 is a very "huggy" child and having ds2 hasn't changed our relationship in that way at all. The 2 boys are best of friends and greatest of rivals but love each other deeply. The presence of ds2 has improved life for ds1, as he now has someone to boss around play with. I found it was easy to love both children without taking from each of them and I have reassured them both that the rules of Mummies are that no matter how many children you have, you never love any of them any less.

I am definitely in comfy jeans territory! I expect I will need maternity wear in a couple of weeks if previous experience is repeated.

Bad news mad; those bad boy fibroids are only going to get bigger! Last pgs I was literally the size of someone expecting twins so given that they are bigger to start with this time, I dread to think how I will end up! We can play "my bump's bigger than yours"!

Wow furry number 4! How wonderful.

mrsevans Had to laugh at your dp examining your boobs- made me think of asking dh "is this top too low" and realising when he said "no" with a gleam in his eye that actually, the answer was "yes".

Been having some bad backache after hoovering this morning but hopefully all is ok.
