Oh no! So sorry to hear about your experience at the GP. I'm going to mine day after and I'm not very fond of him. Hmm I don't really know what to expect. But I'm leaning to go full private. But have no clue who to go to. Good luck ladies. Also a little bleeding means the implantation has taken place (and is apparently totally normal). Big hugs to you all!

Twinkletoes007 · 09/02/2015 15:55

Good grief Ca55andra. That is disgraceful treatment. Sending Flowers

catlady87 · 09/02/2015 16:03

Hi ladies, sorry to hear of bad experiences, hope everyone is resting and taking care of themselves.

I'm 5+2 today and still pretty much symptom free... Having mild cramps in lower tummy and back and crazy bloating. No sickness yet... Did go for a strenuous walk yesterday with DH was was SO out of breath. Unlike me.

Anyway hope everyone is okay, I am starting to wonder how I'm gonna make it to my 8 week booking appt without going utterly mad.

katew66 · 09/02/2015 16:07

Wow i really cant keep up but is very reassuring to read everyones symptoms and worries/excitements and realise they are the same as mine!I have been feeling super sick since Friday -but want to eat everything?? well everything except vegetables and healthy things- trying to keep it in check so I dont soon resemble a small hippo
Thanks for the tip about NHS choices- my surgery were useless last time and the midwife service was beyond a joke !

ibeka · 09/02/2015 17:24

ca55andra, I'm sorry you had such a bad experience!

I'm pleased to say I've just had a very positive GP experience. I went for a 'I'm pregnant what happens now?' appointment and she was very, very lovely. My hospital doesn't do booking appts. until 10 weeks but she referred me for that. She also listened very seriously to my ridiculous belly pain story, examined me externally and internally and declared it most likely a pulled muscle. Then told me to come straight back if I'm still worried in a couple of days. Also gave me a mag called 'Emma's diary', which is full of advice about diet etc.

Whatamuddleduck · 09/02/2015 17:24

It's looking like this isn't a sticky bean. I'm 5+1 today and had been worried as despite checking every couple of days for 10 days on clear blue digi I kept getting 1-2 weeks. Got that yesterday, promised myself I would check no more but got another today and got 'not pregnant'. Cramps and a bit of pink when I wipe now (sorry tmi). This is the second time now, similar happened in September. spoke with Gp earlier, suggested going to epu if I wanted to but otherwise just letting nature take its course.
Good luck to you all and fingers crossed for sticky beans xx

Cineraria · 09/02/2015 17:33

So sorry to hear your news Whatamuddleduck, especially after you have been through the same thing so recently.

Glad your doctor was considerate and offered to refer you if you wanted, though. Hope you have plenty of support around you too

Wishing you well for the future.

So sorry to hear that, muddle. :( Look after yourself. Flowers

I can't keep up with this thread! Feeling ghastly now, not to mention exhausted. Went to take a snooze on Saturday afternoon as DH was looking after the children and woke up three hours later. I think my sleep needs have gone up to about a minimum of 10 hours/day.

Told DH that I don't remember being this exhausted when I was pregnant with the twins, and he kindly pointed out that morning sickness alongside my cushy office job and child-free mornings/evenings last time was probably more restful than morning sickness alongside the never-ending physical exertion of chasing after two very busy toddlers all day. Nothing like running off to puke and having two little curious people follow you into the bathroom and start pulling your hair/climbing on your back/sucking on all the toothbrushes/unrolling the loo roll. Confused

batfish · 09/02/2015 19:32

Oh muddle I'm so so sorry, hope you are OK Flowers

No symptoms over here either and I don't like it! Other than the crazy sore boobs that feel like I'm being stabbed if I so much as lightly touch them. Had 2 days of mild abdo pains that were freaking me out a little but then none today. Can't decide if that's good or bad, I worried about the pains but now I'm worried I can't feel anything!

Am going to tell my sister tomorrow, will be even more scared then of something going wrong as then that will be one more person I would be letting down! But she is an almost qualified midwife so has seena lot of stuff and will probably be able to calm my craziness.

Does anyone else feel totally normal? Other than the constant worrying of course! But I don't feel excited or different or anything - I thought being pregnant would make me feel special haha! Hopefully as the worries ease off the excitement will kick in.

crazypuglady · 09/02/2015 19:42

batfish I could have written the part of your post about abdo pains. Mine have really subsided today, just the odd twinge. I also don't have the acidy nausea either, although still a bit gassy. Now I'm happy that I feel better but worried something has gone wrong.

Taking a sample into the GP surgery in the morning. As soon as they confirm that I'm pregnant they'll refer me to the midwives. They don't have tests in surgery so I'll be waiting days while they send it off Hmm sent DH to the shop for more tests on his way home so I can double check before I take it in Blush

batfish · 09/02/2015 20:00

I really need to stop reading things, I just keep worrying myself more! Was just reading what I thought was supposed to make me excited (a blog from a woman who describes her pregnancy each week) but then it got to week 7 where she said she had lost 2 previous pregnancies at that stage. And she said that looking back it was obvious that the pregnancies weren't viable as her symptoms were so much more mild than the 3rd time. So now I'm just thinking arghhhh why don't I have symptoms!! Sad

No more reading anything! I'm so scared of telling family this week, wish my mum and dad weren't visiting for another few weeks.

shieldbug · 09/02/2015 20:16

So sorry muddle wishing you all the best for the future.

AnnaBegins · 09/02/2015 20:26

So sorry muddle Sad would the epu be able to help or reassure at least?

crazypuglady · 09/02/2015 20:33

Please don't take any notice of that article batfish. How do you think so many women get so far into their pregnancy without knowing unless they don't have symptoms? Some people are just more affected than others.

AngusAndElspethsThistleWhistle · 09/02/2015 20:33
