Hello ladies.

Hoping I can join you on here...
I'm tentatively stepping on this bus from the Jan/Feb buses.
Took a test last Wednesday (28th) on my predicted day of AF and got a BFN.
Tested again on Friday but the test failed.
Tested yesterday and got a feint vertical/positive line on a CB+.
Tested again this morning and had the same result.
DH has gone and bought a digi and some offer tests for tomorrow morning but I think we're saying we're up the duff!! Grin

Mumwannabe82 · 01/02/2015 14:37

dojo123 · 01/02/2015 14:53

Thanks mum it still hasn't fully sunk in that we could be preggers. I think it will probably take at least another week before I will allow myself to get excited.

BitchBags · 01/02/2015 15:15

Congratulations dojo :)

dojo123 · 01/02/2015 15:22

thanks bitchbags Tis exciting times!!

katew66 · 01/02/2015 15:58

Hello Ive never been on these groups before so bear with! I've just found out I am pregnant with our 3rd child! Very excited as it was totally planned-due 2/10/15 I think! It all feels new again as its been 5 years since the last time- when do I go to the GP/midwife etc?? No symptoms as yet just a bit crampy and tired ( could be normal ha ha). I live in South Wales so a big welsh hi to everyone x x

Cineraria · 01/02/2015 16:05

thanks Mum and Angus. If I remember rightly, it will just be weighing and measuring plus blood pressure and checking lifestyle a bit.

I'm so glad that my appetite has disappeared for the last few weeks as I've already lost the few pounds that Christmas always seems to add! I must remember to ask what the doctor recommends for indigestion. I remember that stopped me eating anything but cup-a-soup, square crisps, toast and yogurt for several weeks last time. I used to hide cornflakes in the cup-a-soup just to try to eat something with iron in it!

Congratulations dojo! Must have been so annoying to have that failed test and not know for an extra day.

Cineraria · 01/02/2015 16:11

Congratulations to you too Kate!

We used to go to South Wales every summer for our holidays when I was a child. So many lovely memories.

katew66 · 01/02/2015 16:20

Thank you Cineraria-it is a lovely place to live! Where did you used to go? We are Swansea way so have the Gower on our doorsteps x

katew66 · 01/02/2015 16:31

On the subject of boobs- no change at all yet but on my last one i swear my nipples were rock hard for the last 6 months of pregnancy- highly uncomfortable! Sympathy to all of you noticing changes already x

Cineraria · 01/02/2015 16:44

Luck you Kate. I mean the Gower bit, not the nipples, of course!

We stayed at Llangenith, mostly and used to go to Swansea sometimes to use the swimming pool if the weather wasn't suitable for the beach. It was the first time I'd been to one with water slides and a wave machine!

How nice to have such lovely beaches nearby for family days out.

katew66 · 01/02/2015 17:03

Llangenith is lovely and we still go to the pool with the wave machine!

katew66 · 01/02/2015 17:04

ooo so chuffed to be on the spreadsheet-fast work!

TheGirlWhoPlayedWithFire · 01/02/2015 18:09

Congrats to Kate, dojo and bitchbags.

Also thanks Cine for updating the spreadsheet.

Can I ask - to see the midwife do you have to see the doctor first? It's been a long time since I was pregnant - or do I self refer to the midwife?

Boobs also very tender and larger here! Not sure whether to go for maternity bras as it feels so early. What's everyone else doing?

Marmite27 · 01/02/2015 19:08

I bought some soft bra's from Asda for on a night. I was a dd last week, I think I'm an e this week! Can't cope without a bra at the mo.

dojo123 · 01/02/2015 19:16

I am slightly worried about my boobs increasing in size. They haven't started getting bigger yet but I'm already 34HH and can't really go without an underwire.

Cineraria · 01/02/2015 19:17

Hi TheGirl. I think it depends on where you live. We are supposed to be referred by our GP where I live and my GP insists on an appointment first but I've heard that in other areas self-referrals are expected.

Huge, sensitive boobs here too. With a small band and large cup size I'll be staying in wired bras as long as I can, as I need the support. I've heard it's ok as long as they are a perfect fit so I have bought new ones already. I normally wear a 30F and a 30G the week before my period but even the G cups were overflowing the week I found out, so I ordered a couple of 30GGs and the difference is amazing. I keep thinking they've stopped hurting until I take the bra off in the evening! I have the Mothercare crossover sleep bras too which are really comfortable at night, although I had to shorten the straps by 4 inches as they seemed to think breasts are typically found around the waistline; even at 40 mine haven't made it that far south!

BitchBags · 01/02/2015 19:33

Thanks TheGirl congrats to you too :)
in my are you have to get the doctors to refer you. I'm only roughly 3 weeks but will phone to be referred in the morning as I had pre eclampsia in my last pregnancy so I'm not sure if I will need to go extra carefull or not?

TheGirlWhoPlayedWithFire · 01/02/2015 20:03

Thanks ladies, will ring and check.

Bitch (feels awful calling you that!)
I had pre-eclampsia in my first pregnancy and I did mention it to the midwife in my booking in. From what I remember I wasn't high risk but they did monitor my urine more closely towards the end. Did the pre-eclampsia occur during labour or before? If it's any help you are less likely to have it second time round.

Thinking of all of you blessed with naturally big bosoms. Must be hard to get comfy bras if you need the underwire.

katew66 · 01/02/2015 20:19

Hello TheGirl-i was wondering that-cant remember if i saw the doc first last time then midwife? seems early to ring?I might leave it another few weeks as I was lucky and didn't have any probs last time
On boobs again- Im a 30E at the moment- hoping not to have to get new bras yet as its so hard to find comfy ones in the right size !
