I got pregnant 1-2 on a digi this afternoon so I'm definitely pregnant!!
Now the fear is setting in.
This will be baby 2 for me. I've been feeling broody for the last few months. dd is 14 months

artyone · 30/01/2015 17:16

I can't decide if I should tell my mum. It's super early but I'm dying to tell her. All those of you who told your parents already are very brave.

Nervous83 · 30/01/2015 17:21

Alex - Me!! Very impatient!! The more I read the harder it gets. We haven't told anyone yet, don't know if I can bring myself to say it. DH wants us to wait until I'm at least 8 weeks before I tell my mum. I'm not sure... He has left it with me to decide if I want to sooner though. Best of luck for the next two weeks. Will have my fx for you.

French I'm with you on that one...I feel like I'm just going to get my words mixed up all the time and just blurt it out.

SarahSt28 · 30/01/2015 17:24

Artyone, I'm in the same position as you. I really want to tell my mum but not sure if I should wait until the 3 month mark as we plan to with everyone else. My mum is a nurse so is really good for advice with anything health related so would be useful for her to know so I can pick her brains when I get worried.

I keep wanting to blurt it out to everyone, does that go away once the initial excitement fades??
X

Frenchfancies · 30/01/2015 17:50

nervous when I told my GP I just started crying and then ended up whispering the words not quite believing what I was saying!

Artyone and sarahst... I really want to tell my mum but sort of want to wait a bit longer too, I don't really know why because she wouldn't tell anyone, but it's sort of a nice, exciting secret just between me and DH at the moment too. We don't live near each other so think I would prefer to tell her face to face than over the phone too. I've known just over a week now and the urge to tell everyone has subsided a bit, well for now anyway! Grin

AnnaBegins · 30/01/2015 18:17

I dreamt that I told my mum last night! Nightmare really as she would blab to everyone and I'm dreading telling her even at 12 weeks! As she will no doubt make it all about her. It could go one of two ways, either she'll suddenly have some life or health issue to overshadow it or it will be like her triumph and all of her doing and her grandchild rather than our child! She has form... So I'm happy to put off telling everyone for a while.

AngusAndElspethsThistleWhistle · 30/01/2015 18:27

My mum can't keep it to herself. I told her at 7 weeks and she promised not to tell anyone. Before I knew it, she'd told my dad and my sister! She also called to tell me her friend Sally had a spare carseat. She was very sheepish when I asked her how Sally knew a carseat was requiredHmm .

HerewardTheTired · 30/01/2015 18:31

Can I join you? The digi test says I'm pregnant, still can't believe it. Due date October 10. DS is 14 months, so may have bitten off more than I can chew!

AngusAndElspethsThistleWhistle · 30/01/2015 18:33

Welcome Here! There's a few of us with 14-month-old DCs now!

artyone · 30/01/2015 18:41

Welcome Hereward! I have a 14 month old dd, we must be mad!

Frenchfancies · 30/01/2015 18:41

Hehe Angus that made me chuckle!

Hi hereward and congrats!

Could really do with glass of red wine tonight rather than a peppermint tea Hmm

Glossyflower · 30/01/2015 19:21

I desperately want to tell my mum too but DH won't let me.
I told her early first time, and she ended up telling everyone as she was so excited for first grandchild. However my dad was very sick during the late stage of pregnancy and he passed away when DD was 13 days old so I know telling her this time would make her really happy.
All being well, and keeping HG at bay I plan on surprising her on 6th April, my dads birthday Smile

AngusAndElspethsThistleWhistle · 30/01/2015 20:48

That's a lovely idea, Glossy. Sorry about your DadThanks

HerewardTheTired · 30/01/2015 22:11

glossy that's a really nice way to tell her.

I think my mum will guess by the end of the week. My boobs are gigantic and I'm bloated, spotty and constipated. And dizzy, tired and eating like a horse. I feel pretty damn attractive at the moment Wink.

Summer29 · 31/01/2015 07:19

Hi all - please can I join? I got my bfp yesterday and the calculator says I'm due oct 9th. I'm so excited but also a bit scared as I already have an 8 month old, so I'm a bit worried about how hard it'll be with 2 little ones! It took a while to conceive last time, so we didn't think it'd happen first time :-) I just can't stop smiling at the moment!

Glossyflower · 31/01/2015 07:53

Thank you ladies Smile

Welcome Summer and congratulations! Xxx

Mumwannabe82 · 31/01/2015 07:58

Mumwannabe82 · 31/01/2015 07:59

bit concerned that we haven't seen Lucky, mustbemad or Boyle for a while, I hope they are OK Thanks Thanks Thanks

mustbemad71 · 31/01/2015 08:09

Hi Mum thanks for thinking of me - and thanks for all the lovely messages yesterday. I have definitely miscarried - heavier bleeding with clots from 4pm yesterday and I just don't "feel" pg this morning. I'm fine though - I'm 43 and there was obviously something not right. Positives are - I can get preggers at my age! Plus rather lose it now than later.

Best of luck to you all and wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy GrinGrinGrin

alexmash12 · 31/01/2015 08:18
