Sorry spelling issue there fizzie

Fizzie100 · 26/01/2015 10:01

Also just whilst I get head around everything what is the number + the other number that everyone is posting?x

Lauramum23 · 26/01/2015 10:05

I am 4 weeks pregnant 5 days. How ever many weeks plus days, so I would write 4+5 x

Fizzie100 · 26/01/2015 10:12

Doh! Of course! Thank you :) won't know I guess until see the docs x

gennibugs · 26/01/2015 10:21

Morning all.

How is it Monday?? how?
I was so tired this morning - not felt this tired in ages!!
Tried to get a gp appointment as I need some reassurance for the cramps im having but was told nothing until end of next week. Sad I filled in my self referral form though last night and emailed that off.

sorry to all those feeling under the weather - definitely agree to call in sick if you need. Hope you all feel better soon.

hello to the new joiners Smile

oh and think we are going to get an early scan as I'm feeling so anxious. did you all go/planning to go around 8/9 weeks?

Lauramum23 · 26/01/2015 10:28

Well I bought another cheap test this morning just to make sure!? I think if it shows on those then I must be lol, just pound shop ones! Anyway it showed up darker than the control line!
I have also booked in with midwife 2 weeks on Wednesday oh lord I think the reality will hit me then!

sauvblanc21 · 26/01/2015 10:29

Oh ma gawd, I was sitting here feeling guilty for phoning in sick this morning but seems loads of us have! Solidarity! Grin I'm also coldy/fluey and woke this morning with horrible headache & earache but most annoying thing is my constantly weeping left eye! SO attractive! Would usually dose up on paracetemol AND ibuprofen and just suck it up but no can do now Smile
Keep well ladies xxx

sauvblanc21 · 26/01/2015 10:32

Fizzie, when was first day of your last period? Work out how long since then and you'll get your number. I'm 5+1 xx

alien11 · 26/01/2015 10:34

Morning all again :-) well today I am shattered! Took dog out for her walk at 615am, Had normal cereal for brekkie after that took dd to pre school then straight to gym where I failed to do a proper workout as felt so hungry! Nice shower at gym then home to brekkie no.2. I'm usually always hungry but this is madness haha. Poached eggs cooking then remembered can't have them runny!
Have doc appt this evening to start the ball rolling.
I also have a ridiculously dry mouth?!
Hope all of those at home feeling sick are ok and feel bit better but being at home.
elsa I hope the docs went ok x

Treaclepie19 · 26/01/2015 10:36

I'm the same with the weight issue fizzie, my bmi is 31.
Try not to worry about losing weight, just eat healthily and you'll be fine.
Slimming world is safe if you wanted to do it though, as long as you tell them you're pregnant.

DefinitelyNotElsa · 26/01/2015 10:37

The Dr wouldn't see me. Long story, but after lots of back and forth phone calls, I've got an emergency appt at 12pm. I'm so so cross.

gicharlie17 · 26/01/2015 10:43

Morning ladies. I am a first timer and enjoying reading all your messages. Please can someone post me in the direction of what all these acronyms mean? I've no idea what TTC, DD, DH, DS etc means so I don't really understand what everyone is talking about. I'm due 02/09/15, currently very few symptoms, just starving all the time, peeing more often and bigger boobs.

sauvblanc21 · 26/01/2015 10:49

Sorry to hear that Elsa, grrr, I'm feeling cross for you. Hope all goes ok with appt at 12 xx

alien11 · 26/01/2015 10:50

elsa that's so bad!! Good luck at appt.
Make sure you tell them that you shouldn't have had to wait! You had an appt so should have been seen?!
Welcome gicharlie TTC- trying to conceive, DD-doting daughter , DH -darling husband,
There's a link some where on mumsnet with all the acronyms x

ShootTheMoon · 26/01/2015 10:50

sorry to hear that elsa and hope you get checked out.

gicharlie all of the acronyms are listed here

I join the ranks of completely shattered people! I have been in bed by 8.30 each night and asleep not much later - on the plus side I don't feel like I'm dying when I have to get up for work like I usually do! I don't remember being this tired in my first pregnancy, but now I have DD to look after and I'm still training hard because the season hasn't finished yet. And I am hungry. For carbs. So hungry.

I think I could happily sleep this week away. I'm 5+6 but I think I may actually be a few days further along as I ov fairly early.

nutelladipper · 26/01/2015 10:59

hey all,
i'm jealous of those at home - i'm feeling so ropey with an awful cold after the flu jab but ive got loads on at work so have dragged my body in! I hope everyone feels better soon.

definitelynotelsa i hope you got an appointment and are reassured?

Fizzy i have a BMI of 33, i'm the same weight i was with my first (this is my third) so although i successfully shifting the previous two baby weights i never shifted anymore in the last 4 years haha. The dr wont probably say anything they just refer you. The MW will no doubt say nothing either. There was a leaflet in all the bumpf i was given saying i could go to healthy eating course if i was over 30 bmi but i wont. Both previous pregnancies i only gained about 1 stone and lost most of that giving birth! HOWEVER with both babies i put on well over a stone in the early months after having them - i was so tired so constantly ate sugar - i exclusively breastfed too so the idea of BFing shifting pounds was not true in my case! My biggest advice would be to watch what you eat in those early days after baby is born - i used to meet my friend every morning for a huge coffee and cake at costa - we stopped when we realised we were having our daily calorie consumption before 10am in the morning but unfortunately the damage had been done!

I will not make the same mistake third time round haha.

xx

gicharlie17 · 26/01/2015 11:02

Thanks for the link. Everything is starting to make sense now! This thread moves so fast. Is there an app I can follow it on? Anyone here from the North Oxfordshire area?

ShootTheMoon · 26/01/2015 11:08

gicharlie there are so many of us from Oxfordshire! I'm in West Oxon but I work north of Oxford... whereabouts are you?

There's a MN app you can download for iphone. it's a bit rubbish though.

alien11 · 26/01/2015 11:18

Anyone from Kent?Smile

Lauramum23 · 26/01/2015 11:18

I've got the app it's ok once you get used to it, in the corner there is a plus sign where you can flip the thread and go right to the end of the messages and also it says add message to ya know add message Grin, I really need to get on with some housework! 10 more minutes Grin

Lauramum23 · 26/01/2015 11:19

I'm way past you lot I'm East Yorkshire

sebsmummy1 · 26/01/2015 11:26

Don't be too jealous of those at home. I have a 26 month old to look after and I think being at work would be easier!

nutelladipper · 26/01/2015 11:27

haha sebsmummy couldn't agree more - only jealous of those at home with no children - i'm programmed to only have sick days when my two are in nursery!!!

itssangriaoclock · 26/01/2015 11:30

Morning all I'm 7+1 with my dc2. Due date by my dates is the 13th sept. I have been really relaxed about the whole thing and haven't been to the GP yet. Although I think in my area I can self refer online, so will look into that.

I've had mild sickness over the weekend, sore boobs so going well.

Genie bra's are good, comfortable, non wired. Currently £9.99 for three on amazon. Only down side is the straps are very wide so can't wear strappy tops.

Really struggling not to tell people, dh doesn't want to tell anyone. Friends suspect and are trying to hint at it. If they would ask directly I would prob tell from.

My mum has invited me over for lunch, she said she has some nice crusty bread and pate Hmm so will have to tell her later.

Sorry to hear that many of you have been signed off work.

Good luck later Elsa
