I'm yawning away too! Have to go pick dd up from pre school in 5 mins then back to fun of entertaining a 3.5 yr old woooo

Lauramum23 · 26/01/2015 12:00

I'm a stay at home mum too but my youngest is 5 so I'm home all day on my own but I always have something to do! (Well if I could get off my fat arse lol) always cleaning ,washing ,cooking ,sorting, school clubs etc etc but it will be nice to be pregnant without a small child to run around after this time, there's 2.5 years between first 2 and just 3 between 2nd and 3rd. It's like starting all over again! Eeeekk

Boodlymummy · 26/01/2015 12:11

Symptoms had simmered down the last few days, cramping less often (i'm 5+5). Woke up this morning with mega painful boobs, owww! Also starting to get slightly nauseous, oh no. I hate being sick so dreading that bit. Happy Monday, everyone!

NatalieBee · 26/01/2015 12:13

I have an early finish today, woo! The ward is killing me, I am so exuhsted and sick I feel bad for the patients! Powering through tho Smile

I am 8+6 today! Scan tomorrow eeeeep 1 more sleep! I can't wait to see if there's been a big change since the first!

SpamAnderson · 26/01/2015 12:16

Ha ha I remember that well, I fell with dd2 when dd1 was 13 months, the running around after her whilst massively pregnant nearly killed me! I got signed off work with both pregnancies due to stress and depression so didn't really work far past 25 weeks. I'm now self employed running my own cake business which is bloody hard work :/ I work from home so am permanently in a cycle of house work, cakes, housework, cakes, cakes, more housework etc while my 7 and 5 year old fight :/ I think I'm nuts doing this again as dd2 turns 6 in July and dd1 turns 8 in September just before this one is due! Least dd1 can help a bit I suppose! My kind friend reminded me I've added another 11/12 years in the school playground to my life.... You can go off people you know!

DefinitelyNotElsa · 26/01/2015 12:45

Thanks to all of you who had your fingers crossed for me. Dr was wonderful in the end (once I got past the receptionists, that is!) - I've got a week's course of antibiotics for the UTI, and should be feeling myself again by Wednesday. Phew.

nutelladipper · 26/01/2015 12:49

ah Spam i have my own cake business but came back to work part-time too as it was too hard to just "do cake"! haha. i teach cake decorating classess too! I found my sugar cravings with dd was a nightmare when around cake cut offs! lol

Tallalime · 26/01/2015 13:05

I thought soft boiled/poached eggs were OK now as long as they are lion stamped? That is what my MW told md last time I was pregnant... or have the guidelines changed again?

I can't abide fully cooked eggs (and no homemade mayo... or chocolate mousse )

Mummyboo30 · 26/01/2015 13:10

Great news Elsa hope the UTI clears off quickly.

For those mentioning a facebook group, as we are still getting new people daily, it's perhaps still a little early to have a group. It was thought that after 12 week scans would be a good time.

Chuch21 · 26/01/2015 13:11

Glad to here everything got sorted elsa

I'm just off for a lunchtime nap in my car Blush I have deadlines on Wednesday and I literally can't stay awake!

I'm definitely starting to podge out between my belly and rib cage, although I'm quite enjoying not even thinking about dieting probably for the first time since I was 16!

Hope all those feeling ropey get better soon!

Tallalime · 26/01/2015 13:11

Good news Elsa hope the antibiotics clear the UTI up quickly Thanks

DoNotDenyMe · 26/01/2015 13:13

I really struggled with not eating certain foods last pregnancy. (Hence username). Once I'm told I shouldn't have something it instantly becomes more appealing! I deliberately didn't want to be pregnant again over Xmas because of missing out on all the gorgeous food/drink! Grin

ShootTheMoon · 26/01/2015 13:14

tallalime, yep, the risk with eggs is salmonella. Salmonella causes food poisoning and doesn't affect the foetus anyway. Salmonella is killed by heat so a fully boiled egg shouldn't have any risks. But all lion marked eggs come from hens which are vaccinated against salmonella anyway.

I eat eggs from MIL's hens - they are not vaccinated, but they are fed and treated very well. And I haven't caught salmonella from them prior to pregnancy either!

Basically there is no risk from lion marked eggs in any case. Just the usual nanny state rubbish which makes us think we can't decide sensibly for ourselves.

Obviously it is everyone's choice, but worth reading up on the potential risks - in my mind there is a difference between something which just affects me, and something that could cause a risk to the baby.

This page is quite useful

DoNotDenyMe · 26/01/2015 13:17

Glad you're ok ElsaSmile Smile

Tallalime · 26/01/2015 13:18

I know donot though because I thought eggs were OK I am only avoiding steak (I like it merely waved near a heat source) and pate.

The cheeses I like are generally OK anyway, nuts are fine for me... I can't think of anything else.

The worst thing for me at the moment is that I was given 6 bottles of vodka for my birthday/xmas... vodka gets better with age, right?

Tallalime · 26/01/2015 13:19

Shoot I love you!!!

That is all.

ShootTheMoon · 26/01/2015 13:19

We're just about to run out of space so I have created a new thread for us all. Chatty bunch. Grin

ShootTheMoon · 26/01/2015 13:22

talla glad to oblige Wink I'm veggie so I worry about very little! I'm cutting back on caffeine a bit and I will generally avoid the listed cheeses, but risk of listeria is vanishingly small in any case.

More info on lion marking for eggs here

alien11 · 26/01/2015 13:26

Glad you re ok elsa
Our eggs come from a guy my hd works with so don't have the stamp on them.

SpamAnderson · 26/01/2015 13:38

Oh cool nutella do you have a facebook page? I wonder if we know each other's businesses!!
donot I'm the same, I would kill someone for a tin (or vat) or tuna!
To those talking about eggs, it's suppose to be no runny eggs but I always each them and have throughout pregnancy, it's due to salmonella and risk of food poisoning, but I have never had food poisoning from an egg before (and I eat raw cake mix like every day). Lion stamped eggs are vaccinated eggs so there's really no risk from them.

Jackieharris · 26/01/2015 14:47

I went for an hour's walk today and was exhausted!

I don't know how women with 'on their feet all day' jobs cope!

FlyingSpud · 26/01/2015 14:50

So had a scan today and I've lost the baby.

Can someone remove my details form the spreadsheet (was previously ginface)?

Wishing you all love and luck for your pregnancies. Xx

alien11 · 26/01/2015 14:51

Oh flyingspud I'm so sorry x Flowers

ShootTheMoon · 26/01/2015 14:52

oh spud, I'm so very sorry Cake and Brew. I can change the stats.

Very best wishes.
