Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Poo. I'm 5+0 and have had period-like cramps on and off since getting my BFP, but yesterday they were taken to a new level. No bleeding. Called NHS 111 who said they weren't to be worried about, but that I should keep an eye on them.

I've now been woken up by the cramps again and they're even worse. Oh wise women, should I see the Dr tomorrow? My instinct tells me yes - the pain had me near doubled over at its worst.

Tiredstressed · 26/01/2015 03:58

If the pain is causing you to double over, I would definitely go to the doctor or to an epu. I hope all is ok.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 26/01/2015 05:04

Sorry to those having a rough time.
I wish I could pop to Asda for some cheap bras but they're now GG! Annoyingly I have a 36G bra from M and S that fits. So I started of with a 36 GG non-wired, back was too small, up to a 38 still feels to small. I know my rib cage hasn't expanded that much! I need to try and arrange a trip to Norwich to get sized in Bravissimo.

DefinitelyNotElsa · 26/01/2015 05:40

Thanks tired. I don't want anyone to think I'm causing a fuss over nothing or take up an appt someone else needs. NHS 111 suggested it could be a UTI - I think that might make sense.

brickiemum2 · 26/01/2015 06:11

Elsa go straight to your nearest epau! Yes, cramping and mild pain is normal but severe pain isn't. The mw's s at epau are best placed to figure out what's wrong. A uti can be serious in pregnancy so please get checked out.

MyNameIsSuz · 26/01/2015 06:36

elsa, you won't be wasting their time by getting yourself checked out!

doctor, if the cups fit but the band is too small, jojo maman sell packs of bra extenders (just a little strip with extra hooks and eyes that you clip in). I managed most of my last pregnancy with two bras a band size up, then had to use the extenders towards the end - meant I didn't have to buy more. I was up to a gg too last time, went for a fitting in bravissimo, they were great. For pregnancy they fit you to the tightest hook rather than the loosest and they know how much room to leave in the cups.

brickiemum2 · 26/01/2015 06:51

I had my first major melt down yesterday. Nothing fits me! I have a muffin top and camel toe in my jeggings because of my big lumpy belly and none of my tops will fasten over my gigantic knockers Grin I cried to dh, he pointed out they were massive and was surprised I hadn't noticed already Hmm
I want to put on my maternity gear but that kinda gives the game away Confused

FiftyShadesOfGreen4205 · 26/01/2015 06:52

Hello everyone.

Please can I join? 7 weeks with DC2. Due on Sept 15.

alien11 · 26/01/2015 07:07

elsa when pregnant or a mum you ll never waste the doctors time. They would much rather you get checked with them than worry/get ill.
I'm back to getting little stabby pains which again I believe is stuff arranging itself down there!
So hungry constantly!as for knockers- not really much difference! I loved them when I was heavily pregnant as usually tiny !
Calling the docs in a bit to see what I have to do now.
Off to the gym this morning which will be fun Smile

brickiemum2 · 26/01/2015 07:09

Always room for another one due on the 15th (like me Wink) welcome fiftyshades

DoctorDonnaNoble · 26/01/2015 07:23

Suz - I love Bravissimo. Only problem is as I'm stuck here in North East Essex I have to travel to London, Cambridge or Norwich to find one!

HaveTeaWillSurvive · 26/01/2015 07:31

I'm cacking it this morning, dr signed me off to work from home for two weeks because if the sickness / nausea and so I'm going to have to phone and confess to my boss today. I feel like such a fraud though, I've never hardly had a sick day in my life so should be able to suffer through this, especially as it's not that bad at this precise point in time. Gah...

DefinitelyNotElsa · 26/01/2015 07:32

Thanks for the lovely reassurance everyone. I've called in sick (it didn't go down particularly well with my boss) and am getting straight onto the Dr at 8:30. If I can't get an early appt, I'm going to the EPU at 9am. Pain is now constant.

MyNameIsSuz · 26/01/2015 07:34

Oh boo doctor, that's a shame!

Treaclepie19 · 26/01/2015 07:42

Ladies dont worry about calling in sick. You are pregnant and if you're not well the best place for you is home.
Easier said than done, i know.
I've been signed off and am feeling the same but at the end of the day, if I get a healthy baby at the end of it then it was all the right decision.

Lauramum23 · 26/01/2015 07:57

I've had mild cramps since before finding out and on and off atm, but I think that's pretty normal in the early weeks, when having my first tho I remember having the most painful cramps in the night probably around 5-6 weeks and I thought that was it I would lose him but no never had it again! And never had it with the other 2 either so cramps I think are part of it, but see a doctor in case it's something else x

showtunesgirl · 26/01/2015 08:40

I've called in sick today too. Had a fever since last night and am shivering and can't get warm. Brr.

Tallalime · 26/01/2015 08:44

Morning Grin

I actually woke up feeling sick this morning... then I ate some coco pops and now I am fine.

Supposed to be taking the cat to the vet in a bit but she is cunningly absent.

Have MW on Weds, when I saw the Dr they were talking about maybe putting me on low dose aspirin from 12 weeks. Will also have to chose hospital. 3 to chose from I think, Cheltenham, Gloucester or Stroud. Basically I am going for whichever has a NICU as we needed it last time Sad

I too would like a FB group - I am struggling to keep up here

Fizzie100 · 26/01/2015 09:04

Hi everyone! Joining this thread - thank you Brickie. I'm totally new to all this, found out BFP on Friday lunchtime and it's my first baby. DP and I had started to talk about ttc but didn't expect it all to happen so quickly so still a little bit shocked. I'm away with work until Wednesday so can't see doctor until end of the week most likely. In feeling quite nauseous and have cramps and a little bit of spotting which is concerning me a bit. Still trying to get head around the fact I am pregnant. Anyone else also had a majorly blocked nose ? I'm 31 and according to the baby centre online I'm due 20th September. Hope everyone is doing ok x

Treaclepie19 · 26/01/2015 09:16

Same due date as me fizzie :)
Congrats! And yes to the blocked nose.

mrsdos · 26/01/2015 09:19

Morning all. I have called in sick too, have felt really cold/fluy all weekend, not being able to take much for it sucks!

Fizzie100 · 26/01/2015 09:25

Ahh fab treacle! My blocked nose was my first symptom - for three weeks I was convinced I was allergic to something at home!!! I'm starting to work my way through all the posts - wow you al seem so wonderfully helpful I'm so happy I joined. Quick question - I am on the larger side at BMI of32 and really worried about what the doctor will say. Weight is such an issue for me and I am dreading getting upset. I've done slimming world in the past and was thinking of going back and try to lose a bit of weight - is that ok to do ?? I've lost my appetite a bit anyway as feel so bloody sick!!! Thanks ladies

SpamAnderson · 26/01/2015 09:34

fizzue slimming world is perfectly safe during pregnancy as you don't eat a limited amount :) with a bmi of 32 though you should be absolutely fine :)
I don't have the blocked nose, mine is running tonnes! Booo

Fizzie100 · 26/01/2015 09:40

That's great to know thank you I'll join up this week. Is it possible to end up lighter after having baby than to start or is that utterly ridiculous? I have 4 stone to lose so rather scared at amount will put on. Had planned to lose weight before BFP alas it all happened rather quickly and that has not happened!! Hope those at home today feel a bit better soon x

Bippidee · 26/01/2015 09:46

Fizzie, after DD, I lost 20kgs. Put some back on, but am still about 15kgs lighter than I was before having her.

(Semi hoping the same will happen with this pregnancy, but with the amount of cake I'm eating, I'm not hopeful!)
