I am really struggling today girls Sad I can't keep anything down and constantly have a feeling like I'm going to vomit. I'm 8+4 today I thought I had passed the worst of the symptoms Confused

FlyingSpud · 24/01/2015 13:34

Morning lovely pregnant ladies.

Amazed at how fast this thread moves! Sorry I can't reply to everyone - the mobile app is a pain in the arse.

Thanks to those who offered reassurance...still no bleeding or cramps so not worried. Just the brown gross discharge. I had it with DS at EXACTLY the same time, almost to the day. Strange. Must just be how my body deals with early pregnancy.

How's everyone's weekend going?

sebsmummy1 · 24/01/2015 13:40

I feel crap too. Constantly cold, constantly nauseous. I can eat but the thought of preparing food or smelling it makes me heave. So far today I have eaten cucumber some rice and a yogurt, oh and water as I can't deal with any other drink.

alien11 · 24/01/2015 13:41

I was drinking last weekend and all over Xmas that's the hard thing... Was only out last weekend with one of the mums. I'm getting a bottle of wine and can't fake pouring that ? Argghh I think I may just offer to drive !

alien11 · 24/01/2015 13:42

I feel fine, having sharp pains, eating loads and bloated which should be fun in my dress tonight haha.
I would use diet as an excuse but I'm very slim so that's not possible. Plus saw them yday and was talking about drinking eeek

Lauramum23 · 24/01/2015 13:48

Yes I have app it's a bit weird isn't it! Runny blocked nose is called pregnancy rhinitis I think!? I've just got some maternity stuff from next as it was in the sale, omg I don't want to get fat! Some of it is off back looked at George maternity quite reasonable actually, I'll keep the jeans as they are comfy and judging by my bloated belly it won't be long till I'm in em! Anyone else doing exercise? I've dropped kettlersize as I don't think it's advised to do it and I'm keeping my yoga and ill just to aquafit instead 3 times a week it's not as harsh as kettle lol neither are specific for pregnancy but I don't think it matters.

FlyingSpud · 24/01/2015 13:53

Re going out, I would text and say you've had a migraine all day so might not make it out. When you do of course make it out, just use earlier migraine and associated drugs as an excuse. People will just be glad you made it and won't focus on the not-drinking aspect.

DeladionInch · 24/01/2015 14:08

alien distant relative diagnosed with cirrhosis has scared you a bit? sure you can find a celeb with a drink problem otherwise and fake an emotional reaction to the story Wink

alien11 · 24/01/2015 15:33

All ok I just said I'll drive to save cab money! lauramum I'm going to still hit the weights at my gym just stop with the 100 sit ups and maybe more Cardio. I'm very slim so was trying to bulk out a bit now will defo bulk out :-) still don't believe it at all so will be doing a Digi test tues/weds.

alien11 · 24/01/2015 15:38

Ps who have you all told? Only me and DH and mn know at the mo. My dads partner is round on Friday to highlight my hair- don't want her to know - but what about the highlights?!

FlyingSpud · 24/01/2015 16:16

Highlights are absolutely fine. As long as you've had them done before and not had a reaction.

Snowflake15 · 24/01/2015 16:24

Alien could you just say you are now busy/have changed your mind? You are still allowed foil highlights though as long as you make sure room is well ventilated

We've told my mum dad and sister and DP has told half his familyShock his mum dad their partners brother and auntie!

I've just woken up after falling asleep at 1pm! I used to have insomnia now I can't stop sleeping! Only 5+1Confused

pocopearl · 24/01/2015 16:26

Hey ladies, sorry been quiet the last day, I know some of yu were asking after me. Had 2nd bloods today BHCG level was 3. Obviously was not meant to be. Good Luck with your pregnancies. xxx

FlyingSpud · 24/01/2015 16:29

So sorry to hear that poco ThanksThanks

Lauramum23 · 24/01/2015 16:44

Highlights will be fine, I'm not slim but I lost some weight for last summer so I got into size 12 and with all the exercise I was pretty toned ( well more toned than normal!) but I crept back up again by about half a stone so I'm really gonna have to watch it I do not want to get mahoosive!

Sorry to hear poco x

TerrysNo3 · 24/01/2015 16:46

how is it possible that I'm craving coffee when I never drink the stuff and it usually makes me heave?!?

Oh and hello everyone Grin

StrawberryCheese · 24/01/2015 16:52

Sorry to hear that Poco Flowers

We haven't told anyone alien. Hoping to keep it a secret between DH and myself until we have had the 12 weeks scan. Not sure if DH will last though, he's like a kid at Christmas. I'm not brave enough to phone my mum and say 'Hi, guess what. I've lost my job and I'm pregnant!'

alien11 · 24/01/2015 16:59

So sorry to hear that poco
snowflake she doesn't use foils :/

Chuch21 · 24/01/2015 17:05

We've told our parents and my brother (as he rents a room from us and has seen the frolic acid/noticed my reading every food label and not having my evening vino), alien

So sorry poco Flowers

SomewhereovertheRainbow02 · 24/01/2015 17:10

We've told most close friends and family now!
The way i see it, I would like these people there for support if god forbid anything where to go wrong plus someone i know not too well found out and i feel i need to get in there before they hear from other sources! Nothing stays secret in my neck of the woods!

StrawberryCheese · 24/01/2015 17:13

I should also mention that I don't want MIL knowing yet as she can't keep a secret. Tell her and you may as well tell her 200 facebook friends while you're at it Grin

gennibugs · 24/01/2015 17:29

So sorry poco.Thanks

We told MIL last night. She was over the moon. Telling my parents tonight - I'm so excited I might burst. The only other person I'll tell is my sister. Everyone else will wait til after the 12 weeks.

I've just woken up from a very satisfying nap. Was lovely. I feel better. Probably still be falling asleep by 9 though!

Oh and re exercise - I'm still at the gym and working out most days. I've just tweaked things slightly - in particular my core exercises. Probably being over careful but we've had a longish journey to get here and I'd rather err on the side of caution. Blush

ShootTheMoon · 24/01/2015 17:47

Really sorry to hear that poco Thanks

Exercise, I'm training/competing 2-3 times a week and doing a spinning session, and yoga. I will stop competing around 12 weeks as there's more risk if I fall or am hot at that stage. I'll be spinning as long as I can comfortably sit the bike and I am hoping to get back to my fab antenatal yoga class from 14 weeks.

I'm shoot and I'm an endorphin addict Grin it really helped me in my first about that I was physically strong - was on hands and knees for 8 hours. Not nearly so fit and strong this time around but carrying 2.5 stone of toddler isn't light work either!

ShootTheMoon · 24/01/2015 17:48

Not 'am hot', 'am hit'! But getting too hot isn't good either.

Snowflake15 · 24/01/2015 17:51

Poco Flowers

genni good luck telling them tonight! I'm sure they will be over the moonSmile

I've been too scared to go to the gym, but thinking of going back Monday and just going to walk on the treadmill! I know it's safe but can't help worry! Plus I'm so tired anywayWink
