Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I'm freezing too. Cuddled up on the sofa last night with my jammies and a dressing gown on plus a blanket and promptly fell asleep. Apart from the two minutes it took my to move upstairs and brush my teeth I slept soundly until 6am. I'm not a big sleeper normally!
Yes yes to the constipation, bloat and wind too. So glamorous. I've also got a permanent headache but had that with my other two kids too so I'm happy that's a good sign.

brickiemum2 · 23/01/2015 07:09

Forgot to add I feel asleep at 8.30pm! Lol.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 23/01/2015 07:22

Chips at our place today as well. Will have to get takeaway as vinegar makes me wretch!

Meinthecorner · 23/01/2015 07:32

Sauvblanc21 I have a little geographer brewing too. With regard to school I wouldn't worry. I felt a lot of guilt in leaving them in the lurch last time so I told them early before my scan and they did nothing about recruiting for my replacements (I had responsibility to be covered too) until 4 weeks before I went on mat leave! It was very stressful. Let them start planning tell them when you are comfortable it won't be that far ahead anyway and they will have plenty of time to recruit if they advertise before Easter. Good luck!

nutelladipper · 23/01/2015 07:42

Morning all, 9+3 today and have woken up after a full nights sleep (with no wee stops!) and feel the least pregnant I have so far.
I remember this happening with dc but I'm sure it was later!
Just over two weeks until scan day! I'm so convinced they'll just say "no baby just fat!!!"

banterbus · 23/01/2015 07:50

Morning all, hope everyone has a good Friday. Every day feels like a week to me at the moment so I'm so glad it's the last day of work for me. 5+2 today and no symptoms yet really which I keep telling myself I should be greatful for but I can't help worrying.

DefinitelyNotElsa · 23/01/2015 08:00

Is anyone commuting by train/tube? I'm only 4+4, but already the journeys to and from work are making me feel horrible. Been wearing sea sickness bands and sucking on ginger sweets but to no avail. Any tips anyone?

Lauramum23 · 23/01/2015 08:09

I think I better join you! Found out yesterday that I'm expecting my fourth! I have an 11 year old, 8 and 5 year olds. I tested a day early couldn't wait! An it instantly came up a dark positive! So I got some cheap tests just to check in afternoon and they came up dark too! I'll be due 30th September so could be October actually??? When did you ladies ring the doctor? I haven't read through all your posts there is too many lol but sorry for those ladies I had read that had miscarried x

gennibugs · 23/01/2015 08:30

Morning all.

TGIF it's Friday. I'm exhausted!!! woken up with tummy cramps so worried now - not sure if it's normal this early on? I don't suppose there's anything I can do even if not.

Yes to feeling sick on the tube - I've been taking little sips of water and sucking on a mint to try and ease it.

Treaclepie19 · 23/01/2015 08:36

Cramps are all normal early on genni, just watch out for severe or one sided pain.

I think i may have a uti. Got a doctor's appointment for later this afternoon.

FlyingSpud · 23/01/2015 09:16

I got offered a seat on the tube this morning Sad [fat emoticon]

FlyingSpud · 23/01/2015 09:16

Elsa try peppermints (extra strong mints work well) and taking a flask of peppermint tea to sip on.

sebsmummy1 · 23/01/2015 09:25

Oh FlyingSpud that made me chuckle, sorry Blush

Devastated to read the bad news over the last two days. Have been there and most days fully suspect I will be there again, my heart goes out to you all Sad

Tiredstressed · 23/01/2015 09:27

I had a daily train commute during my last pregnancy - I took some toast with me for the journey as hunger used to make the nausea worse.

HaveTeaWillSurvive · 23/01/2015 09:49

Morning all, I'm giving in and going to the doctor about MS, feel so incredibly rubbish. Definitely worse than last time and I can't stop crying as I fell like I'm letting everybody down. Hope I get someone sympathetic or I'll just break down like a baby Blush

Mummyboo30 · 23/01/2015 09:56

Good luck HaveTea I hope they sort something out for you.

Still not feeling much here except bloat, (which is definitely getting bigger) so it still doesn't feel all that real. Except for two blubbering outbreaks at DH for no real reason. He just Hmm and says about remembering the hormones from last time! Blush
Good excuse to have a moan though! Grin

WhatWouldFlopDo · 23/01/2015 10:08

I'm in, due 23rd September, I'm 30 cough 5 and this is my 5th pregnancy (1 child, 1 MMC and 2 ectopics). Slightly nervous, not excited yet and just waiting to see what happens over the coming weeks.

I've read through the thread and Flowers to all that are having a shitty time.

sauvblanc21 · 23/01/2015 10:34

Thank you meinthecorner - I feel reassured Smile I should have had 12 week scan before Easter hols so can tell them then. We're advertising for a new Geog teacher anyway so hopefully two will be really good and we can take both! Like the thought of brewing a little geographer Wink
banterbus - I too don't really have any symptoms which makes me worry a little - just that my boobs hurt a lot if I run up or downstairs (which I've stopped doing!!!) - I do suppose we should be grateful but I think I'd like to feel a bit more pregnant!
genni I've got a little bit of tummy cramp too so thanks treacle for reassurance.
Marvellously, I've randomly had two lessons covered today (potential Hums teacher getting a taste of the school) so that is a superb Friday treat!
Only a few hours til the weekend everyone Grin xx

gennibugs · 23/01/2015 10:54

Thanks for the reassurance re cramps - I guess I'll just keep an eye on them. I thought that ttc was stressful - this is far more stressy! I feel so anxious.

treacle hope the doc gives you something for the uti.

DH wants to tell his mum tonight - have you all let a few people know or are you keeping it under wraps. We are telling my mum and dad tomorrow - I am literally bursting not being to tell my mum as we are so close but I wanted to tell her face to face!

Hello to the new members Grin

ElleyBear13 · 23/01/2015 11:00

Morning all! I havent posted on the august/september thread much as im worried of another m/c. Had first midwife appointment due august 28th and got myself a private scan for sunday. Im exactly 9w today however im a little concerned as my symptoms are getting fainter? Im no longer nauseous all day just on the evenings now, my boobs arent as sore but still bigger and darker (tmi!) and im just worrying! No cramps or bleeding just symptoms lessening. Im still very very tired but starting to feel more hunan. Is anyone else experiencing the same? So sorry to barge into the thread! Hope everyones pregnancys are going well and i hope to join you all permantly once ive got past 12w! xxx

lovesmycake · 23/01/2015 11:07

ooh elley its interesting you say that im 8+5 and this last couple of days I haven't felt as nauseous. I feel kind of silly saying it because I'm still sick 2/3 a day but it was so much worse. My boobs are also less sore. but I am still very very tired asleep by 8 most nights!

I have been worried too but telling myself it's just a quiet week, maybe I'm eating things that are easier to stomach or my body is adjusting to the HCG. Like you no cramps or bleeding so really no need to worry yet. Good to hear of someone else feeling the same :) I have so little memory of early pregnancy before.

ElleyBear13 · 23/01/2015 11:16

Hello lovesmycake thanks for the warm welcome and reassurance! Ive trawled through google and alot of forums/blogs/pregnancy pages do say symptoms start to come and go at 9weeks as the hormones dip and the placenta starts working. So i think im just worrying! Im so a tad worried as when i asked the midwife for miscarriage stats as pregnancy progresses she turned to me and told me that we could lose the baby at 8 weeks, 16weeks, 28 weeks or birth and stats dont really show anything. Hmm i just wanted some reassurance after we lost our little girl in september! Hopefully the scan on sunday will give hubby and I some reassurance that everythings developing properly! :) thank you again xx

SpamAnderson · 23/01/2015 11:31

Is anyone else constantly dizzy or lightheaded? I frequently feel like I'm going to pass out :( I've had my blood pressure done several time so far, it's normally quite low during pregnancy but last time is 115/86 so not too bad but the Dr didn't seem concerned at all. Just cannot figure out why I'm so dizzy :(

lovesmycake · 23/01/2015 11:39

What a horrid thing for your midwife to say of course we all know that anything can happen but that doesn't stop me from finding stats reassuring. I had a mc before I had my DS and I remember my UK midwife before we moved said that the chances of me having another MC were less then 3%. Single miscarriages can be quite common but recurrent cases are not apparently, I don't know if it's true but it helped me a lot.

ElleyBear13 · 23/01/2015 11:44

Thank you lovesmycake i was pretty gobsmacked when she said this too us, i know pregnancy isnt straightforward and you pop out a baby at the end of nine months but i just wanted to know! Thankfully some on MN posted a link with the daily odds of m/c so im using that for reassurance atm. Thankfully we're moving in two months so ill be under a different midwife! Im sorry for your loss cakes, but its reassuring to hear you went on to have a gorgeous son! Honestly sometimes forums are more reassuring than midwives Confusedxx
