I had 8 scans when I was pregnant with DD. All on the NHS she was a right bugger and all after 12 weeks.

I don't think I tested til 6 or 7 weeks with her though. This pregnancy is going to be looooonnnnngg.

MisBit1 · 22/01/2015 16:01

Squiish and ShootTheMoon I've pm'd you both. X

MisBit1 · 22/01/2015 16:15

Tallalime done! Grin

showtunesgirl · 22/01/2015 16:19

I JUST ATE A WHOLE PIZZA! This is the most I've eaten in one week in one sitting. Now I have to try and not throw it back up. Ick.

Cornberry · 22/01/2015 16:51

Sorry for the sad News today. Thinking of you all xx
spam that's great news :) the same thing happened to me - had an early scan thinking I was 6 weeks and at the scan they said it was 5. I felt pretty disheartened and sceptical because I thohght I had my dates right. Thought they might be adjusted back at the next scan but I had my booking appointment today and the midwife I saw told me the scan was almost certainly accurate so my dates must have been wrong. It was amazing to see a heartbeat at 5 weeks though. Now just whimpering in the corner until the all-day sickness subsides.

Kittykitty05 · 22/01/2015 16:55

I've had a day of no nausea (great but worrying for it to disappear) but the immense hunger of a few weeks ago is back! I've eaten soooo much today and my tummy still keeps rumbling like a gremlin! And they say you don't need any extra calories in first trimester!!!

DoctorDonnaNoble · 22/01/2015 16:59

Mine stomach's very noisy today! We had roast beef at school for dinner today and the gravy was quite rich (and tasty). So embarrassing!

Tallalime · 22/01/2015 17:04

Thanks Mis I have spoken to them and they've fully booked the current training days but are organising another one and I am on the list for that. They're calling me back with the date Grin

Since I am only 7 weeks on Monday that's probably for the best!!

I have been very silly and bought nugget a toy Blush I did it when I was pregnant with DD too. Just something small to look at and say I AM pregnant. This is real!!

Choccyhobnob · 22/01/2015 17:15

Think this is the worse I've felt today, only mild nausea but been dizzy and headachey all day and been falling asleep at my desk since about 12!

Jackieharris · 22/01/2015 17:15

I'd have expected my appetite to have increased but the opposite has happened. I'm having to almost force myself to eat, because I've noticed that the sicky feeling starts if I haven't eaten for hours. But my stomach seems to have shrunk as I get full so quickly. It's the best diet ever! I think I've already lost 3lbs but I know that won't last!

gennibugs · 22/01/2015 17:21

I'm exactly the same jackieharris - not hungry but if I don't eat get the weird sticky feeling. I'm not bothered if I lose a few pounds - sure I'll make up for it later Grin

I didn't realise so many of you were going for early scans! I might have to try and convince DH. I bet they cost £££ in London though boo.

I'm still trying to get my head round having to self refer to a hospital now - I haven't a clue had to choose between my 3 choices. None of the appear to be exactly stand out!

ag123 · 22/01/2015 17:28

Whereabouts in London are you gennibugs? And an early scan is usually around £100 round here...x

gennibugs · 22/01/2015 17:36

Hi ag I'm in SW london but work in the city. I guess £100 could be an option, - have you booked one or have you had one done? Are you london based too? Grin

Treaclepie19 · 22/01/2015 17:55

Congrats genni! Lovely to see you here :)
We're only a week apart. I'm 5+4.

sauvblanc21 · 22/01/2015 18:15

Welcome genni - I too am 4+4 and EDD is 26/27 September! Grin

Maths88 - how far along are you? Just wondering how far you were when you told your school? I'm already nervous about telling my head! Should I wait til after scan or tell before? xx

gennibugs · 22/01/2015 18:18

waves to treacle -lovely to see you too! Hope all is well wyou?

gennibugs · 22/01/2015 18:20

That should say *with you!

And hi sauvblanc (awesome name by the way) - I'm so pleased to have a fellow date buddy, I was wondering if I'd be all on my own at the end! Grin

Snowflake15 · 22/01/2015 18:30

genni I'm the same! And I think stoaty is too!

I am sooo hungry constantly at the moment, feels ridiculous as there's only a poppyseed in there at the moment! Anyone else having this? If I don't eat it makes me feel a bit nauseousHmm

Maybe I'm just being greedy!

Treaclepie19 · 22/01/2015 18:40

Yeah thanks genni :)
Well, hopefully :)

sauvblanc21 · 22/01/2015 18:41

Yep we've got a little late September gang now Grin I'm not too hungry....yet....just full of cold, bleurgh, and slightly sore boobs! Xx

Maths88 · 22/01/2015 18:44

Sauvblanc I'm just over 7 weeks I only told head because he mentioned the other day to all staff he was looking at budgets for next year and if anyone had any information it would be useful for him. I didn't feel like I had to but I decided I would tell him.

Not planning on telling anyone else at school for a few weeks. What do you teach?

DoctorDonnaNoble · 22/01/2015 18:48

I told my head this week. I'll be 6 weeks tomorrow. He's currently sworn to secrecy. If all goes well this has an implication on other recruitments and I teach 4 subjects at the minute. My HoD also knows, I overheard him speculating, he's now told and secreted up too. Won't tell anyone else until first scan.

Maths88 · 22/01/2015 18:52

Glad it's not just me Donna. I'm thinking about telling HOD as well just so someone I work closely with is aware.

sauvblanc21 · 22/01/2015 18:56

Thanks very much for replies ladies.

I teach geog but am Head of Humanities - I'm already feeling a bit awkward as we were planning a whole restructure of Hums from Sept 2015 - met with Dep Head today and she was saying how I'll need to take six GCSE classes as there will be two new teachers from Sept who couldn't take them....but obvs if all goes to plan with this little seed (FINGERS CROSSED!), I won't be there...argh! She said she'll need a decision on Humanities in next couple of weeks (we're still discussing) so she can start timetabling. I know I probably shouldn't feel bad but I do. BUT I'm reluctant to mention anything this early (4+4) incase all doesn't go to plan.....any advice?

Sorry everyone else for boring teacher talk! xx

ag123 · 22/01/2015 18:59

Hi again genni, I'm in N London, but there's so many if you just google it. There's loads around Harley St which should be quite easy to reach from the city.

DH out tonight...I have decided to ignore anything else that needs doing, ds already tucked up in bed and I am in my pj's with a hottie (I am constantly freezing in the evenings at the mo) in my snuggly bed listening to a couple of weeks of archers omnibus podcasts!!!! Living the high life!!!!!
