Hi All

Here's what may or may not be our final thread!!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Memphisbelly · 15/01/2015 21:10

Frenetic don't google! I only had a few BH for first time last week.

Well good news is there has been no more bleeding, had a lovely takeaway and a nice hot bath, repacked my hospital bag as I was struggling to fit it all in my little bag and have now opted for my small case on wheels so we aren't loaded down with bags.

Scan and consultant tomorrow lets see what they have to say. I will be going alone as everyone else is at work apart from my sister and she will play merry hell to try and get me induced so don't want her there causing a scene Blush ds cried as he wants to see the baby on the telly Grin

Memphisbelly · 15/01/2015 21:11

Frenetic....turned up in store? Was box damaged? How odd. I hate mothercare too, hated working for them. Vile company

Becca1818 · 15/01/2015 21:28

Thanks for the reassurance lancashire. Guess I'm just starting to worry.

freneticfox · 15/01/2015 21:42

Memphis - they told us we'd be able to pick it up in store on Friday. It turned up at our house today. The box was damaged at one end, and there's clip completely snapped off from the hood.

Honestly, loathe them. Awful experiences from start to finish.

Memphisbelly · 15/01/2015 21:48

Frenetic so another trip to store for you or the morning on the phone? I hope they sort it quickly the piss taking gits. I really hope you have such an easy birth you sneeze and he pops out....you deserve something to go your way

sandulacek · 15/01/2015 22:02

Geeky I stopped wearing my rings during xmas as they were getting stuck. I'm wearing a fake one so that I still look like I'm married Grin.

JacktheLab · 15/01/2015 22:24

Frenetic, can you the pram you want from elsewhere, like John Lewis? I'd be demanding my money back from mothercare of at all possible. I have bought from them in the past but only in store and only things that they had in stock, I'd heard that they are useless before! Also, I got no Brixton hicks last time and loads this, step away from Dr Google, he lies!

I've just stopped wearing my rings in the last couple of weeks as my fingers are getting a bit puffy, last time I couldn't manage to wear them for most of second and third trimester, funny how different things are his time!

Memphisbelly · 15/01/2015 22:35

I haven't been able to wear any jewelery since start of pregnancy my skin reacts to it all. If we go out to dinner or something I try yo wesr my ring but then my finger goes red and weeps. I misd my tings, studs and bracelets Sad dh is worried i wont be able to wesr them again I only had my wedding ring a month when
I fell pg and it was made for me so was £££..... I have assured him it will be fine it settled last time.

Bangonthedoor · 15/01/2015 22:37

Just a random question while it's in my mind...can anyone remember if baby moves about much during early and active labour? Enough for us to notice? When I started contracting first time round I can't remember if she was quiet or still wriggling about.

Memphisbelly · 15/01/2015 22:48

Bang my ds did move around, more legs though, he caught his foot between my ribs for a bit and another mw had to come in to try and free it during a contraction...that hurt a lot

Memphisbelly · 15/01/2015 22:49

Not a huge amount though, when I had a General at 28 weeks he still moved about though which is unusual apparently, totally freaked surgeon out Grin

Bangonthedoor · 15/01/2015 22:51

Thanks memphis another thing I couldn't remember from before!

Memphisbelly · 15/01/2015 22:56

I only remember useless stuff.....how to change a nappy or make a bottle.....I have no clue

amyandtom · 16/01/2015 00:22

Just updating everyone, due to all the palaver with baby's heartbeat and growth over the past weeks I'm getting induced sometime tomorrow after 3pm :/ I'll be 37 weeks exactly and was only told today (cue mad dash getting everything sorted tonight and tomorrow morning!) other than looking a bit on the small side though baby is fine so hopefully I'll be able to give you news of weight etc before Monday Smile x

Viperama · 16/01/2015 00:35

Omgosh Amy, that's so last minute are you excited/relieved/happy?

Good luck Amy!

Jen, hope you are sleeping so you are well rested for tomorrow too :)

I'm totally awake have been for half an hour, might get up and make some toast....

purpleteapig · 16/01/2015 03:13

Good luck later Amy, exciting!

Argh, can't sleep as dh snoring his head off next to me and my mum is in the spare room so can't boot him out like I normally would.

Plus I have bad pelvic pain where I slipped during yoga earlier - thought yoga was meant to make you feel better!

purpleteapig · 16/01/2015 03:16

Oh hi Jack, you're awake too? I might give up and go downstairs to watch tv...

JacktheLab · 16/01/2015 04:41

Hi purple, I've been up, put a load of washing on, sheets in the dryer, dishwasher emptied and restocked and on again, cuppa decaf tea and a slice of toast and knitting for an hour, might head back to bed for a couple of hours now Grin

My body definitely remembers the night feeds from last time Wink

Memphisbelly · 16/01/2015 05:13

Good luck today Jen and Amy.

I cannot sleep tonight i have been sleeping so well I am trying to look on it positively that looking run down and shattered may go in my favour with consultant today I am not holding my breath for induction, I am lot less fed up than I was 2 weeks ago but would really like him out just because I am worrying about my heart more as time ticks on....by lunch I shall find out

LittleMissSunshine33 · 16/01/2015 07:06

Good Luck today Jen and Amy so exciting!

My last day at work today quite emotional! But so tired I definitely need it! Now roll on getting prepared!!

Bangonthedoor · 16/01/2015 07:16

Good luck jen and amy! How exciting, hopefully we'll have 2 more babies by Sunday!

I hope your appointment goes well today memphis Smile

Another night of sleeping ok for me, propping up has definitely helped. Nothing seems to be waking me up where as normally I'll wake at the tiniest sound.

donkir · 16/01/2015 07:45

Morning everyone, good luck Jen and Amy. How exciting!
I actually slept ok last night although pelvis is shot to bits.
MW appointment this morning with yet another new midwife. Apparently this one looks about 12.
OH is also off today and Sunday so looking forward to some time with him. Must change all the hospital bag over and put bigger nappies and clothes in there as its all prem stuff.

sandulacek · 16/01/2015 07:53
