Hello ladies,
I'm another one on the can't sleep kick. Another week and a half of work though and then it won't matter quite so much. memphis, when are you off? I remember you're due a couple days before me.
tonight, thinking of you!
All the best,
Mim

Bangonthedoor · 14/01/2015 04:49

Nice to know I'm not the only one retiring on the dtd front. We last did it a couple of weeks ago and it was actually ok but then had cramps for about an hour after and I'm not sure if dtd was worth the painful cramps?!

How are you feeling tonights? Any progress? I agree jack we all definitely need some babies to coo over to get us through the next few weeks.

So not ready to get up yet but apparently DD is....Hmm

freneticfox · 14/01/2015 05:50

Joining the insomnia bandwagon. Got some nausea, which I think is being set off my some remarkably aimed kicks. Lively boy indeed.

Also, do my eyes deceive me or is there now a September antenatal thread? How far we've come!

freneticfox · 14/01/2015 05:51

*by not my. Tablet auto correct!

tonightsthekindofnight · 14/01/2015 05:52

The tightenings got stronger towards midnight and I really thought it was happening but a couple of paracetamol and a couple of hours sleep and now nothing! Very frustrating! Going to be a long day with my little one, I'm shattered!!

LittleMissSunshine33 · 14/01/2015 07:04

Morning All

Tonight they are getting ready! How exciting!

Who has snow? None here down south glad it's coming now stay away in February Grin

Keep getting invites for things eg weddings, parties, dinners and thinking 'I should have a baby by then!' Ahhh getting very real!!

WhyOWhyWouldYou · 14/01/2015 07:43

So exhaused. I've now been up over 24hrs solid.

Just when we went to go upstairs last night, my pelvic joints moved again. Its trapped a nerve. My left leg cannot take any weight whatsoever and the pain travelling down my leg is hell, plus my foot is tingling. I had no chance of getting up stairs and DH barely managed to get me back to the sofa. Didn't get a single wink of sleep on sofa.

Sex - I remember that - its that thing I really like but PGP put a stop to ages ago.Angry Frustratingly my drive has been normal despite not being able to. Last time I went off it but was physically fine when I did want to dtd. Sods law.

blankfornames · 14/01/2015 07:49

Very exciting Tonights. hope you're not hanging around for too long. We are all getting excited here!

Bang, we dtd for the first time in soooo long yday. There definitely were no fireworks! DH was afraid of poking Bean in the eye and I'm big and awkward so nothing v appealing about it at the moment!

Frenetic, my friend had her baby at 35 weeks. She was 5lb 7. They were both home 3 days later. It's fair to say that our Beans are cooked! Grin

Thanks for the buggy advice. Why, the sola looks really nice but I kinda have my heart set on a uppababy. DH is the most generous person in the world but cannot see the reason with spending â?¬450 on a used buggy. They are easier to get 2nd hand in the UK but we don't live there. I think i might have to just surprise him!

Have a good day ladies!

blankfornames · 14/01/2015 07:52

p.s..Oh no Why...you poor thing. Can you take it easy today and reward yourself with a 'nothing day'?

JacktheLab · 14/01/2015 08:07

Ouch! Why, hope things ease off today and you get some sleep!

DH got home last night, DS came into bed with us at about half two/three, at quarter to four they were both snoring away and I relocated to the sofa! Managed some sleep whilst the dogs were super happy and the jack russell got to snuggle up with me :) Got another 45 mins in bed when the boys got up though so feeling quite alive really :)

Fair amount of snow here, I don't think we'll be snowed in, but I'm going to get a big shop in just incase there is a really heavy dump of snow on the weekend.

BanglesSpangles · 14/01/2015 08:20

Morning all, no snow here, though it is bloody freezing!

And somebody needs to slap me- in the last couple of days out of nowhere I've been mega panicking about the baby and if he's ok. Movements are all completely normal and I've no reason to suspect he isn't fine so can somebody please tell me this anxiety is normal as we get this close to the end?!

OP posts:
purpleteapig · 14/01/2015 08:30

Very jealous of those who have snow! Not a single flake here in Essex, boo.

Was in the supermarket yesterday and kept looking at use-by dates and thinking baby will be here by the time this juice expires etc. I did it last pg too. Anyone else done this or is it just me being weird?

Bangles - I've had days where I've been worried for no reason; I think it's because we've come so far and now only have the final hurdle to go.

sandulacek · 14/01/2015 08:48

Oh no whyO that sounds rubbish, get some rest during the day.

Bangles I think it's normal to worry, lo was a bit quiter on Monday night. Luckily I had my 34 week appt yesterday and the mw said she was fine just to monitor and yes back to normal last night.

she's bum up on the right side too here and loves pushing her bum out.

Dtd ...hmmm....Blush...none here for many many weeks. But we're going away for few days on Sunday so maybe...just maybe.

Honeybird · 14/01/2015 08:50

Bum usually out on right side here too, weird how many of us are in the same position! Although I think she does spin around a bit sometimes.

BanglesSpangles · 14/01/2015 09:11

Thanks guys- i know I'm being silly- goood to hear is not just me worrying away!

OP posts:
PeppermintInfusion · 14/01/2015 09:16

Snow here, though not deep!

I'm permanently ravenous at the min, can't get enough carbs!

Junior keeps moving non stop, think he's moved in and out of breech a few times so fingers crossed he settles the right way as really don't fancy an ECV in a few weeks.

Memphisbelly · 14/01/2015 09:25

Blanks buy it and just see how long it takes for dh to notice Grin

Bangles I think it is normal to worry now it isn't massive movements if I am busy I stop and have a poke and push to make him wiggle for my own peace of mind.

Mim I am due 27th Jan....13 days! I plan on doing every Tues and Sat until I pop just to keep me sane but drive is over an hour away so sitting behind wheel is getting to me a bit.

We had a tiny flutter of snow which then froze so its like a death trap out there, now back from school run and I will stay in and tidy until friend gets here at lunch. Was going to book an emergency dentist appointment but it can wait until tomorrow its just to re stick a crown.

Memphisbelly · 14/01/2015 09:28

Tonights how lfrustrating this is like me last week pains until I took pain killer then it stopped I said next time im not taking paracetamol Grin

WhyO hope you have more movement today must be so annoying forvyour body not to play ball like this.

Peppermint yep I normally hate carbs but I am a carb queen at the moment, I have had keytones in urine though so my doc says as I have eaten when I do test he wanted me to up my carbs

donkir · 14/01/2015 09:32

Morning everyone, no snow here in Cambridgeshire either. I'm quite happy about that I don't fancy a drive to hospital in the snow.
Rubbish nights sleep last night. Baby has been bum to the right and head down for many weeks. Last night he obviously fancied a change and I think bum is to the left.
We have DTD on and off throughout and although it's fine whilst doing it I'm then in agony for the rest of the day and can barely walk. We're now saving it for bringing on labour. 37 weeks tomorrow.

amyandtom · 14/01/2015 10:04

Snow here! Not loads but enough to cover everything in white, bump is generally bum out to the right for me to and he's been head down since around 24 weeks Smile

amyandtom · 14/01/2015 10:05

36&4 today, not long now until I can start attempting anything and everything to get him out of me so I can meet him!

JacktheLab · 14/01/2015 10:10

I keep suggesting to my dh that we DTD but he keeps saying no :( He says he's too aware of the baby in there, so he can't manage it, well poor boy is going to have await until afterward when I feel like it, I think it was months after my son was born until I felt comfortable enough!

amyandtom · 14/01/2015 10:12

*36&5 Confused didn't realise it was Wednesday

suzimagoozi · 14/01/2015 10:15

Have been a bit of a thread stalker of late but keeping up with all the action.
Tonight all the best for when your little angels decide to join you.

38 weeks tomorrow and I can relate to those stressing. Usually she jumps around as soon as she hears DH's voice in the evenings but nothing yesterday led me to irrationally and secretively Google stillbirths and freak myself out! comforted by every wriggle I get this morning but still an incredibly frightening thought that I can't seem to shake!

As for DTD, DH has been refusing for months after he felt movement during. Freaked him out so much he's paranoid she'll be scared for life! Shock

Memphisbelly · 14/01/2015 10:31

Regarding DTD last time I was mad for it all day every day but as I got bigger DH just couldn't do it as it weirded him out, really knocked my confidence and it took a long time for me to get things on track again after, remember someone on the ante natal thread did it 2 weeks after having their baby and I was all ConfusedShock
So in the build up of trying for this baby I kept saying you cannot turn me down this time dh it knocked my confidence.......this time I have had no urgh for it what so everso he was all ready but nothing hahaGrin

In the grand scheme of our life together it is such a small window I am not fussed.

Baby seat is now in the car....its getting real!
