Hi All

Here's what may or may not be our final thread!!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Blanks have you decided on a pushchair? i don't think monitors are needed unless you have a mahoosive house, I got some last time as they were given to me but then never used them and binned them. dh bought some better ones now we have a garage saying when he is asleep he can go in garage and potter about.

I have bought snowsuits as I will be walking to and from school and as you cannot take pushchairs in and in reception you have to take kids in to their class I will need to take baby out of pushchair to go into classroom otherwise I wouldn't bother. i have bought a Morrck carseat blanket that goes through straps then you strap baby in and then wrap them, then at least when im leaving for work before 7 am he will be lovely and warm. Once in a warm car you can just unpeel blanket I love it.

I am officially sick of people asking if I have popped yet. 1-I have 2 weeks to go and 2- does it look like it? Argh I hate small talk with people I don't know I also hate the fact these people only want to talk to me about baby....I am more than just an incubator.

Been painting some wooden star bunting for baby room to add his name to once we decide on a name.

Memphis, DH and I are torn between using the Out and About that my brother will give to us for free or buying a second hand buggy that is parent facing and has a proper carry cot. It's a slight bone of contention between DH and I as I'd love an Uppababy Vista but DH thinks they are ridiculous money!

Memphisbelly · 13/01/2015 16:43

Could you get a secondhand uppababy vista as a compromise?everyone I know who has had one loves them

I have an icandy we got for ds I had all the extras and with carseat thrown in it still cost over £800 needless to say dh doesn't want me to have a new one but I really want a silvercross Grin

BanglesSpangles · 13/01/2015 17:08

uppababy was actually not ludicrously expensive when you compared it to other stuff- think we paid £600 for the pushchair and carry cot at the baby show, so granted, it wasn't cheap, but I'm hoping I won't have to admit defeat and get a foldy uppy stroller in a years time.

My sister's still using her (honkingly expensive) bugaboo for her two year old, so if you're planning on using it until they're walking on their own, I think it's ok to shell out the dollars :)

Bangles my friend used hers for 2 kids over 3 years and then sold it for £350 as she kept it in such good nick. I bought a stroller type thing after 10 months for the car and just kept the big one up as thats what I did majority of walking in from home will do thr same this time as I will be using it daily.

Im so tired, work is slowly killing me off I reckon.....not long left I would only be bpored at home!

BanglesSpangles · 13/01/2015 17:43

Blimey that's amazing! Guess that means i should try to keep it vaguely clean then!

blank what kind of budget would DH be OK with for you to get parent facing? Wondering if something like mamas and papas Sola would be good for you, the black is down to £229, and because it has a true lie flat seat you don't need to buy the optional carrycot - a good footmuff is enough. You can get car seat adaptors too.

I have a Sola and I'm honestly the only one of my "mom" friends who kept using their proper pushchair after the first year - it was so much easier to use, especially push, than any stroller I've tried. All the others found their big pushchairs harder than a stroller.

Memphisbelly · 13/01/2015 19:36

It may seem very sad but I am very happy that my bowels seem to have gone on strike today Grin I was fed up with spending my evenings this week in the bathroom!

tonightsthekindofnight · 13/01/2015 20:30

Been sick earlier and having lots of pains tonight but seem sporadic at the moment. Really nervous because my last labour was only about an hour long but as twin 1 is breech this time that could be dangerous. Mw said to call an ambulance if I think I am in labour!

Memphisbelly · 13/01/2015 20:36

Tonights keep us imformed, am thinking of you. If you are worried it wouldn't hurt to go in to be put on monitor

tonightsthekindofnight · 13/01/2015 20:53

Thanks memphis! I think it could just be braxton hicks, shouldn't be so clueless after doing this twice already. Whatever happens tonight, I'm not sure I will last another week.

BanglesSpangles · 13/01/2015 21:00

Ooh exciting stuff! Keep us posted tonights

Memphisbelly · 13/01/2015 21:02

Tonights I thought I would know what my body is up to after ds but I have no bloody idea! Is the bump totally hard with pains? I think if its only part hard its more likely to be BH?

Bangonthedoor · 13/01/2015 21:29

Eek exciting tonights! Let us know how you get on!

Bangonthedoor · 13/01/2015 21:31

Oh and I'm the same memphis thought I'd know more this time round but not overly clued up with my pains!

freneticfox · 13/01/2015 21:47

Good luck tonights - update us!

I'm SO uncomfortable tonight. Don't know if cub has got himself at an awkward angle, but every little movement feels like a sharp jab at my insides. Sore doesn't even come close. Ow. Little monkey.

35+3. Soooo, when is the earliest he can arrive safely??

Memphisbelly · 13/01/2015 21:56

Frenetic Well mrs' baby was born fine at 35 so your cub can come now. I was told in this area from 35 weeks (i think) they do no steroids etc and no prolonged stay in hospital so you are good to go Grin
Frenetic have you managed to go toilet yet or is this why you sre uncomfy

freneticfox · 13/01/2015 22:20

I've managed to go memphis, still not as regular as I'd like, but it's definitely all 'bump' discomfort. Think he's got his back and bum pushed really far forward, feeling internal kicks.

Guessing this at least means he's in a good position ;)

Memphisbelly · 13/01/2015 22:27

Yes that is a good position...not back to back, according to my mw bum out is a great position, bum out but to left of belly button is nest position for birthing (not sure why it would make any difference to the right side tbh) my baby is still spinning on his head some days he is all limbs out front then twists to get bum sticking out

Bangonthedoor · 13/01/2015 22:46

My bean always seems to be bum/back sticking out and definitely more on the right side of my belly (the left side if looking at my belly) the other side generally feels emptier. I've had a nice stretched out foot in my ribs most the day, not even a gentle push is moving it Grin

Just turned DP down for sex....how's everyone else feeling on that part? I feel bad but god I'm so bloody heavy I don't think it would be comfortable at all Blush

I am so ready for this baby to come now....I think we're all feeling the strain now aren't we?! I don't want to be the only moaner!

mildatheart · 13/01/2015 23:02

Another person where back or bum is pushed out on right side. Sounds like everyone is feeling uncomfortable tonight.

JacktheLab · 13/01/2015 23:04

Tonight, fingers crossed, I was just coming to grumble that there hadn't been any more babies to coo over for a bit!

Frenetic, your baby should be fine if they came now too :)

Yup, so ready for this baby to come, hips/pelvis sore, back hurting, tired, need some chocolate.....

freneticfox · 13/01/2015 23:06

Sex? What's that bang?!

Few and far between for us. We're trying to be as intimate as we can, but with my SPD and DH feeling strange about things (when we have done it, we can both always feel little one, he's so active!) it's just something we're not forcing at the moment.

Soon as I'm considered full term though I'm back to insisting on daily bonking to get things moving!

Memphisbelly · 13/01/2015 23:07

Yep I am also part of the unconfy cant sleep club seens I sleep if I spend night in loo and don't if I don't.

Bang we dtd for first time in ages the other day and won't be doing it again until baby is out and i am healed, it wasn't dignified Confused

Viperama · 13/01/2015 23:20

Ha, DP is on a promise for Saturday night, stitch out thursday and he's held out for 16 weeks bless him.

Babys bum is to the right over here as well.

I LOVE the idea of sending DP out to buy first outfit after birth Grin

Welcome Mild
