Sorry for your loss Frolic, lovely picture :) fingers crossed the vomiting stops soon. Sorry I can't post more, have DS1 asleep in bed with me as he wouldn't settle and is being a pain!!

Dozygirl · 18/02/2015 22:48

beautiful pic frolic! Really clear photo there.

Sorry to hear about your grandma. Even when it's someone's time to go it's still mega hard to accept.

Hope the hg is causing u too much bother. it sometimes looks like I have a bump but it's too squidgy to be a bump. It's defo just chub for me.

Just bought my pram!! So excited. Went for the bugaboo buffalo in the end because every other pram I looked at just didn't match up to what I wanted in a pram. There was some close calls but I found a slightly cheaper version online so just decided to go for it. It's got a sand base colour which I hadn't wanted it but as it was 150 quid cheaper than black I figured I could cope with tha . And it's actually really nice in sand Tbh. The only thing with buying it so early is Im gonna want to push a baby around in it ASAP!

Dozygirl · 18/02/2015 22:50

I can see an alien shape in the skull of your baby heehee. Seems to be a frequent shape I've noticed in a few scans now. Love it

Fanby · 18/02/2015 23:23

Sorry to hear about your Gran Frolic, hope the family are all doing ok. It's a lovely scan, so clear!!!

Dozy I have my 16 week appointment in a couple of weeks, like you desperate to hear the heartbeat and tbh i'll be quite upset if she doesn't attempt to listen. I have a disappearing/reappearing bump, sometimes it seems so much more prominent, especially in the evenings!

Guyropes - have you had your interview? How'd it go? Had mine today - abysmal lol! I don't think I needed to have wasted time thinking about telling them i'm preggers haha!

Wishing everyone a good nights sleep devoid of frequent toilet trips!

Equimum · 19/02/2015 07:35

Sorry to hear about your gran Frolic and sorry that your interview wasn't as positive as you would have hoped Fanby.

I've not really said much on here so far, but we had our scan on Monday and everything looked good. Dated as being due 15th August.

Luckily, DS, who is just 2 slept through the scan. It would have been nice for him to see the images on screen, but it was far more relaxing for DH and I to not be distracted.

Fanby · 19/02/2015 08:25

Equimum - Congrats on the scan, glad to hear all looks good :) We're due on the same day! Is your DS excited about the prospect of being a big brother?

No worries on the interview, just means I have to keep looking, this is the first time in over 15 years that i haven't had paid employment of sorts, not the best time for being made redundant! Still onwards and upwards!!

whitwoochantelle · 19/02/2015 10:08

Has any one had to change midwifes? Ii had my 16 week appoinment today which lasted 3 whole minutes! Checked blood pressure n re booked me in for april! She was on her phone ttalking the whole appoinment and didnt even ask how i was/feeling , dissapointed understament ive had 2 srperate hospital stays and she didn't even notice/mention them had to promt her that she kept getting how far gonei was wrong dating scan was 2 weeks ago 14 +2 aint that hard but she kept saying i wss wrong! In between her phone call of course. I have th first appointment every time n every time shes running 30 minutes late feel like im the wuick spatk so she can get bk on track

Equimum · 19/02/2015 18:18

Snap Fanby. I'm not sure how much DS really understands. He smiles when we talk about the baby and show him the scan photo, but I don't think he really gets it.

SweetPeaand2P · 19/02/2015 18:43

That's a bit disappointing whitwoochantelle. Midwife appointments should be a least 20 minutes. Did you get to listen to the heartbeat?
I think I would talk to someone and let them know how upset you are!

Fanby · 19/02/2015 19:04

I guess excited was probably the wrong word to use at 3 lol Grin. My niece is 3 and we haven't told her yet, she's a bit disappointed that I'm not longer picking her up and giving her horsey rides though Wink

Fanby · 19/02/2015 19:42

I meant 2yrs! Sorry Confused

Frolicacid · 19/02/2015 22:25

Thanks everyone.
It's a proper emotional rollercoaster. If I'm not crying with sadness, i'm bursting into tears of happiness. Someone offered to knit me some booties earlier and I bawled!

Thank god it's Friday tomorrow Smile

happygojo · 20/02/2015 10:28

Congrats on your scan frolic! It is great to be moved forward a week isn't it! Sorry about your Gran too :(

I am struggling a bit right now, I am so grumpy and tired. When do I feel the glow and all full of love and energy??

mzzzf · 20/02/2015 10:48

Ladies - I'm here to bring hope!! Grin
I'm now 17w5d and feel ....drum roll please.... OK! Yep it's true, it does eventually get better. I had eye-watering fatigue that meant I struggled to get through to bedtime without dropping off inappropriately. But this last week I've started to feel sooooo much better. And my skin is awesome - looks like I've been bathing in creme de la mer! Grin

So hang on in there folks, it does get better. Also think of this, we're now closer to halfway than conception!! August will be here before we know it.

xBlueberry88x · 20/02/2015 12:46

Hi ladies sorry havent been around much!

16 weeks today and 16w app on Wed, cant believe I have to wait till the end of march to see my baby again!

Frolic Thats a lovely scan bet your so happy!

whitwoochantelle · 20/02/2015 15:09

Sweetpea no nothing took my blood pressure and was on my way spoke to matron today shes gojng to ook at changing although says wouldnt reccomend it, id rather not be under her care flicked through notes and noticed a few mistakes too.

LAM1 · 20/02/2015 20:57

16w scan today and she couldn't get the heart beat - she could pick up baby kicking and turning so all is fine other than its clearly not behaving already!

Just been looking for maternity clothes for when I need them, can't find anything I like! ARGH!!!

I am clinging to hope mzzzf, 17w tomorrow so maybe this mythical energy burst will appear!

Have a good weekend!

karatekimmi · 21/02/2015 07:16

With DS we didn't have the same midwife twice until right near the end (and then we switched hospitals and areas so I could water birth!!) the care was very inconsistent as was the advice.

Frolicacid · 21/02/2015 16:32

Thanks for giving us all hope mzzf! That glow can't come quick enough. I'm still tired, sick, constipated and emotional!

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.

Joskar · 21/02/2015 19:51

Crazy, crazy ILs.

We were invited to theirs for tea last night because sil and family were staying. A couple of weeks ago when we got the invite they mentioned making stew. Dh said to them I'd not manage to eat that because red meat had been making me ill since I got pregnant. I'm getting a bit better and I can manage white meat now but lumps of red meat is no good. Even the smell - gak! Last Sunday fil came over and said about stew and I said no way could I eat it. They've known about this aversion for ages because we told them about the new baby quite early.

So last night we went over and there was much chat at the beginning of the evening about how crap pregnancy sickness is. Then we all day down to dinner and smil said "Sorry Joskar. I haven't managed to make anything different for you." And served up the stew to the rest of the family.

I had some mash and carrots.

Fanby · 21/02/2015 20:46

Ah Joskar the joy of IL's ey! I hope it was good mash potato!! Even pre-pregnancy mine made NO effort at all with my dietary requirements, and yet MIL is gluten free and everyone has to bow down to that for every meal. Fortunately since pregnancy we've eaten out when we've seen them so i've actually been able to eat something.

My sister has lent me a few bags of maternity clothes which is so kind. I've only got a little bump and tbh in denial that i'm going to end up any bigger but i'm sure a few bits will come in handy later on.

Urgh, don't talk to me about constipation. I am in agony. It's horrendous…

Weird question but does anyone else have pain around their belly button?

karatekimmi · 21/02/2015 23:19

No pain around my belly button, but I'm still getting a lot of "discomfort " where i expect my womb is. A bit like period pains, but it freaks my DH out of I say pain as it's not a sharp pain, more a dull ache. I'm still waiting for it to do one, and I'm ready to glow now, anytime!!

Dozygirl · 22/02/2015 09:58

karate I get cramps sometimes too. They freak me out in case anything is wrong. Went out last night for the first time in ages and ended up watching some heavy rock band which is not my thing at all and I was feeling sorry for my poor baby because it was so loud. I wondered if it might upset it being so loud and u could feel the Base beating through my body. Anyway I didn't enjoy it and was happy to be going home to bed as soon as I could.

stacebazza · 22/02/2015 11:17

Hi can I join im 14+1and due 22nd of August our 1st wedding anniversary we found out on Christmas eve so all other presents paled in comparrison congratulations to all.

Sparrowlegs248 · 22/02/2015 13:20

Hi everyone, not been on here for ages. Have been really anxious and at one stage every thread i looked at had sad news, which was really making my anxiety worse, so resolved to stay away for a bit. Hope everyone is fine now I've said that and hope it didn't sound selfish.

I am 17 + 1 and slightly less anxious after a quick scan Friday which
showed a baby (!) which was bigger than last time, active and saw heartbeat. Also drumroll I felt it move last night!! I was in the bath and felt something, put my hand there and it did a proper flip! Felt like a fish flipping over! So these things are helping lesson the anxiety.

I can't say i have had a burst of energy but I am less exhausted. Still tired. Less sick and my hips are agony. Any advice for painful hips?
