Hi all!

I've really neglected this thread since I joined a few weeks ago, oops! but will make more of an effort. I'm on fb a lot so I'll try and find you.

Some lovely scan pics on here ladies, You all must be so pleased! I've got mine on 9th feb when I'll be 11+6, can't wait to see baby, hope he/she is doing well in there.

How is everyone symptom wise? I'm still very up and down, a few days really sick then a few days feeling fine, boobs are sore and tingling like crazy, and bursting out of my bra and I have terrible lower back pain already. I'm worried about the amount I'm eating too, I seem to be always hungry and for, crumpets, toast and huge bowls of cereal, very naughty lol.

Rikalaily · 30/01/2015 10:05

AliOh Sent request, my pic is me and hubby on our wedding day.

Dozygirl · 30/01/2015 10:06

Good luck with your scan today lam

shantto that scan is amazing!! U can see the nose and the lips and everything. I got 4 pictures and on some it looks like the baby has a giant nose which is dp's feature but also my chin which dp thinks is big because it's a bit pointy. Poor child lol.
the pics weren't all that clear though so I don't think u can be sure. I definitely want one of those 4d scans though now where u can see things clearer. It was just so amazing.

PenguinTuxedo · 30/01/2015 12:48

Aww all these scans are amazing :)

For those who chose to have the nuchal test - have you had your results back yet? Mine came through today, and on the main page it says low risk (yay) but all the other stuff on the following page has confused me! (but it doesn't take much to confuse me these days though!)

LAM1 · 30/01/2015 17:18

All went well at the scan!! Baby spent a lot of time upside down and the wrong way. Have just started finally announcing the news!

Isabeau1980 · 30/01/2015 19:24

AliOh that's hilarious. I'm from the other side of the city but one of my best friend's is from Carew Park. Xmas Smile

That is such a clear scan Shantotto

Glad to hear the scan went well LAM1

Augustwedding · 30/01/2015 21:00

Penguin I had our result back, low risk as well!

daisysunshine2 · 30/01/2015 21:17

Mine was low risk too :) I didn't really understand the rest of the letter either!

Emb540 · 30/01/2015 21:25

Nose bleeds Shock anyone else suffering with them? Had 4 today, scared to sneeze!

Aw loving all the scan pics coming in xx

daisysunshine2 · 31/01/2015 08:27

emb whilst I had a cold my nose did bleed quite a bit but not full ok nose bleeds, all stopped now my cold has gone though... Hope they stop for you soon!

Dozygirl · 31/01/2015 08:42

Had to force myself awake from a nightmare this morning. I often have vivid dreams pre pregnancy anyway but this was about the baby and it was horrible. Completely unrealistic dream of course. Hopefully I'll have happy dreams next time.

Emb nose bleeds sound horrendous. I've never had one.

sianihedgehog · 31/01/2015 09:14

Oh man, I had the nosebleeds. My face was basically a blood fountain between 8 and 11 weeks. Several per day.

Shantotto · 31/01/2015 13:42

Just got a letter saying I'm rhesus negative so will need some objections in May. All seems very straightforward but can't help worrying about it!

Has anyone else experienced this?

sisterelephant · 31/01/2015 15:50

shantotto I'm rhesus negative and had to have the anti d shot in my last pregnancy. All was very straight forward really. The worry is that the baby could be positive then your body may fight against it. My ds was negative blood aswell tho. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Guyropes · 31/01/2015 16:45

Shantotto, It might be a good idea to check what the arrangements are in case you have a fall/ trauma at your next appointment.

Hello! Is there room for another on the thread? I've been too shy/anxious/superstitious to post previously but I've been reading all of your conversations like a right nosey neighbour!
I had my 12 week scan on Friday and all looked good. We seem to have a very stubborn bean who wasn't up for having his picture and measurements taken Wink already taking after DH. Doesn't help that I apparently have an introverted uterus (anyone else 'blessed' with one of these?) but after 90mins and lots of patience from the sonographer we got there in the end.

That's all from me for now, wishing everyone a lovely, happy, healthy weekend! x

Augustwedding · 31/01/2015 18:16

Got date for 20 week scan today! 9 march but find out sex on 15th feb :)

Feeling much better during the day, major declutter happened today- feels so much better!

PenguinTuxedo · 31/01/2015 18:23

20 week scan date already! How exciting for you! Grin Is it a private one you're having in deb then?

D00dles · 31/01/2015 18:48

Hey ladies, sorry I've been quiet, I also need to play thread catch up! Work has been very busy and most nights I'm in bed at 7.30. I just can't shake this tiredness Sad
Lovely scan pictures and it's great to see so many happy posts!
I have my official scan next week when I'll be 13+5, so leaving it a bit late! I've had two scans already but I can't wait to see babba again Grin

Hope all is well with everyone, I'm off to have a proper read of all the bits I've missed Smile

Augustwedding · 31/01/2015 20:45

Penguin- yes sexing scan is private. The outlaws and my parents are coming as well as all allowed! I'm convinced it's a boy, don't know why but DH thinks it's a girl. Not fussed what the outcome is :)

Guyropes · 31/01/2015 21:17

Cripes there's loads of changes for the list... Not sure I can keep up with it! Anybody got a better idea how to keep the stats updated than having an editor?

OP posts:
Lilydreams · 31/01/2015 22:17

Shantotto- I got told last week aswell that I'm rhesus negative- was abit bewildered at first despite midwife explaining it thoroughly so googled loads and it's pretty straight forward! I've already got appointment for 28 weeks for 1st injection and then I will have one after delivery. Aside from that I have to ring immediately if I have any bleeding as they might want me to have an injection then too. Apparantly risk with first baby is v.small it's any further pregnancies that may be affected but even then they are very clues up with injections etc nowadays so nothing to worry about! Grin

Dozygirl · 01/02/2015 09:59

guyropes I've been snooping on due in July threads as those lot talk about lots of things and they have a Google doc spreadsheet for stats that u can add your own details too I think. I've never used Google docs though so I wouldn't know how to set it up.

Shantotto · 01/02/2015 10:30

Thanks for the reassuring words everyone! Once I'd calmed down and read the leaflet again it all seemed fine.

I'm currently looking at loads of maternity bras. I always find my normal bras really uncomfortable towards the end of the day. I did a bra intervention on here in September and went from a 36B to a 36DD! Went off to bravissimo for proper fitting bras for the first time in my life, they were much more structured and supportive than the flimsy cotton things I used to wear. I think that's why I'm uncomfy in them still! Although I look better! Anyway, after all that waffle I'll get to the point. I'm even more uncomfortable now, and just re-measured the 'proper' way and I seem to have become a 36G Shock

Which is strange as I've never considered myself big boobs - it's fascinating how different bra sizes are to what we're sold in places that still do old fashioned measuring.

Any recommendations for non wired soft cup bras? Looking at hot milk but they are expensive! I think the point to all my waffle is that they aren't so huge as to feel like they need loads of support so I can probably get away with no wires. Also, it tends to be the band that gets uncomfy rather than wires, so maybe a comfier band with wires would work. There's so much out there I just don't know what's good or not. Confused

Guyropes · 01/02/2015 11:03

Dozy... Well spotted! I was sure there was a better way. I've no idea how to do google docs tho...

Any volunteers?

Shantotto.... Yeah im struggling with bra too. Might go to mothercare and try some specific pregnancy ones on some time. I think try before you buy is the only way, and I was not impressed to find so many shops keep maternity wear online only.. I hate returning stuff that doesn't fit. So thank you h&m. But they don't do bras!!!
