Scan today and am 12 + 3. All good but they couldn't do the nuchal because of baby's position so another scan next week.

JoY007 · 08/01/2015 16:45

want I would be, already put up a not impressed tweet to the gym.

naty1 · 08/01/2015 17:06

super did they try an internal scan- it was the only thing that worked with dc1 (no amount of weeing, drinking, walking, jumping got the right position.

ScaryMartian · 08/01/2015 17:20

Hi all, haven't been on for a while as didn't want to tempt fate too much, I've been lurking lots though! Smile. I posted a couple of times a few weeks ago when I was really suffering with sickness. That seems to have eased loads now.

Good to hear of all the lovely scans. Congrats to those who have had theirs. Mine is this evening! Eek!

broody this will be my first scan too so v. nervous.

I'm 11+6 (with dc2)

Pipbin · 08/01/2015 17:25

Good luck Scary.

Kilicat · 08/01/2015 17:30

Great to hear all of the positive scans and good luck to those who are still to have them.

Sickness has really eased this week - not been sick since Monday and not really felt nauseous although have still been getting super exhausted. DH has been bringing me breakfast in bed to help me with the MS so not sure if I should tell him that I think it's eased! I'm guessing he'll figure it out soon Wink

Kilicat · 08/01/2015 17:32

Also, loved the bump photos - thanks for posting. Clothes are starting to get super tight. Waiting for a delivery from New Look - took advantage of some good reductions in the sale!

Good luck scary and lala! Turns out my scan tomorrow is not with my mums friend as got booked wrong and the friend is v upset as she could do more detail than the sonographer. So looks like I will be having another scan on Monday as well as tomorrow so the friend can do the detailed stuff!

Finally finally went to the loo. Omg, tmi, but it was like shutting rocks. Think a trip to the GP for some pg safe laxatives may be in order!!

smallgreenbanana · 08/01/2015 17:55

Number3 Well, I had my booking on 4th December and MW said she would make the appointment next day. Two weeks later still had not heard so rang MW who called them and then called me back to say scan was on 8th January. Still no letter arrived. Eventually I rang hospital on Monday to double check, and lady said she would send out another letter. Still no letter and I've had the scan now!

I really don't think they had a good reason not to fit me in at a sensible date so I could have a chance for the nuchal. MW knew my cycle and we booked ages in advance. Even Christmas does not seem like a good reason really. And there is something really wrong with their booking system! Not impressed. Angry

Fortunately, my head is full of lovely memories of tiny brain, tiny lungs, tiny beating heart, tiny spine, little legs, arms... etc. etc. etc. so far too happy to care right now about having blood test in 2 weeks instead. Grin

ohlordyplordy · 08/01/2015 18:27

congrats on all of the lovely scan pics ladies, and good luck for those having their scans in the next few days.

I got home to find my hospital appointment letter - scan next Friday when i'll be 12+3. It's late in the afternoon so I just know i'll spend all day feeling sick and anxious. But the good thing about it being a Friday is we can both book a days holiday without the questions we'd get for a day off midweek.

Bustherb · 08/01/2015 18:46

Congrats to all that have had their scans! Such exciting times!

I'm a bit anxious today, when I had the scan on Tuesday at the other hospital he checked everything like my ovaries, uterus etc etc. He said all looked good but it concerns me that the hospital who cocked up the DS screening never checked this? Unless they did but never said anything. Feel like I can't trust them

TinyCaterpillar · 08/01/2015 18:52

The sickness seems to have really come back again for me over the past few days, nothing major just can't stand the thought of eating certain things.

Bust I've had loads of early scans in each pregnancy and it really varies, some sonographers check everything (ovaries etc), some just focus on the pregnancy. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about, if they saw something of concern I'm sure they would have said.

A load of maternity clothes I ordered arrived today, they all look great and so comfy! I'm thinking I might need some more t shirts etc when it gets warmer but other than that I think I'm pretty sorted!

Number3cometome · 08/01/2015 19:03

Bump; excuse the Elmo pjs Blush

LaLa5 · 08/01/2015 19:17

Want - have you tried fybogel?

WantToGoingTo · 08/01/2015 19:36

No, what is fybogel?

Me and DH just had an argument and now he's gone out to his hobby :( it is silly but it keeps coming up and it mainly my fault but I find it really hard to change, I don't know what to do :(

BadIdeaBear · 08/01/2015 20:06

I just got all a bit impulsive in Jojo Maman. oops.
The sale in there means you can basically get two dresses for the normal price of one. So I did.

And while there's a flurry of bump pics and I've a new dress, here's mine! I really don't think this is all bump, though!

Sorry to hear you're so uncomfortable, want - and an argument is the last thing you needed. I hope he comes back and grovels later.

WantToGoingTo · 08/01/2015 20:17

I feel so guilty as I know it is my fault and not his :( and we have had the same argument before - saying sorry doesn't really cut it as I need to change my ways but it is so hard, I promise I will and I do for a few days and then go back to how it was. Like a cycle. But know need to make change especially with baby coming and cos can't keep having his argument for the rest of our marriage :(

Thanks ladies re fybogel will look it ip

BadIdeaBear · 08/01/2015 20:26

want Flowers

GingerbreadHead · 08/01/2015 20:30

Had my scan today, all is well and baby is on it's own! Relieved but a little bit disappointed!!
Only thing is they dated baby at 13 weeks when by my calculations I am only 12+1. I was trying for 18 months, so was tracking everything very closely and knew exactly when I ovulated, so it's pretty much impossible for me to be 13 weeks! Midwife said not to worry, and the dating scan can be out by 5 days either way, but does anyone have any advice/info? Should I be worried? Does it mean baby is going to be a big baby?!
Was a complete dufus as well and forgot to take my notes, so had to do some mad dashing about town after my scan to grab my notes then go see my midwife to take my bloods! Can't believe baby brain has started already!

Zampa · 08/01/2015 20:30

Sorry to hear your woes want.

If you have your prescription charges exemption form, get some laxatives prescribed. Save some £££s. I know I need to!

GingerbreadHead · 08/01/2015 20:33

Want hormones are playing havoc with us right now, so try not too make yourself feel too bad. I keep snapping at DH too when in my head I am thinking what am I saying, I am totally blowing this out of proportion and having a go at him for nothing! Hopefully DH will understand it's a huge emotional time for us to be going through and remember to keep at a distance for the next few months!

GingerbreadHead · 08/01/2015 20:35

Lovely to see all the bump pictures! I don't feel brave enough to do mine, I am a size 16 so already have a tummy, it just looks bigger now! broody I was also looking at photos when I was due with DD, it doesn't seem possible that you can get that big.............
I am down to just one pair of 'normal' trousers that I can wear comfortably. The Great Maternity Jean Hunt still continues.......
