Number3 I'm around 8lb gain here! I am hoping it balances out in 2nd tri

Number3cometome · 06/01/2015 09:49

Fleurchamp fat hips? no DH, they are 'childbearing' hips! How rude!

Ok glad it's not just me then Grin

Overtiredbackagain · 06/01/2015 10:07

Fat hips?? I hope you smacked him around the head Grin

I'm burying my head in the sand and refusing to weigh myself. MW will weigh me end of the month anyway.

Not sure whether to call MW or not, there's not much she can do really, what will be, will be?

Number3cometome · 06/01/2015 10:12

Overtiredbackagain

Sounds like it, although you can call just to express your pissedoffness at the whole situation.

Littledragon13 · 06/01/2015 10:16

I'm having a bit of a panic, I noticed yesterday that discharge (sorry if this is TMI) has changed colour and having the same today along with tummy pains. I've booked myself into the Drs but I can't stop worrying Sad

Overtiredbackagain · 06/01/2015 10:16

I'll see her in a couple of weeks for my 16 week check anyway, I need to learn to be patient Grin

Number3cometome · 06/01/2015 10:22

Littledragon13 What colour?

I have loads at the moment, especially after the gym yesterday, it's clear / white but literally loads.

Littledragon13 · 06/01/2015 10:26

It's been clear/white up until yesterday but now it's a yellowish colour

Number3cometome · 06/01/2015 10:29

Don't panic, may be a bit of thrush or a slight infection.

GP will be able to help Flowers

WantToGoingTo · 06/01/2015 10:31

little mine changed from white to yellow couple I weeks ago, I don't think it's anything to worry about unless it is brown, green or smells funny (tmi!!) mine tends to be clear/white on wiping but more yellowy in knickers Hmm Blush I also been having stretchy crampy feelings again for last couple days. Try not to worry as it is probably just uterus stretching to make room for baby Thanks

WantToGoingTo · 06/01/2015 10:32

Should add that my bloods and urine came back clear for any infection :)

NotPennysBoat · 06/01/2015 10:32

Had my scan, all is well and measuring bang on dates. 20wk scan booked for 24th Feb. So relieved, feel like we can start getting excited now!
12+4

Littledragon13 · 06/01/2015 10:37

Thanks everyone. I can't help but worry, feeling royally under the weather isn't helping matters! X

Overtiredbackagain · 06/01/2015 10:38

Great news Penny, so pleased for you!

Number3cometome · 06/01/2015 10:39

Ladies, something a bit unusual happened to me last night.

Well not totally unusual, as I have suffered from panic attacks before but not for a long time.

I went to bed about 11ish, was having a strange but not scary dream and woke up at 1:53 (exactly)
My heart was beating weirdly, like really fast but felt odd. At first I thought ok fine, just the dream made me a bit anxious, but then I didn't seem to be able to control my breathing or my heart rate.
OH woke up and asked me if I was ok, I said I could feel my heart pounding, he said just listen to his breathing and try and mimic it (he has a slow heart rate)

I took a blood pressure tablet as I could also hear this annoying high pitched noise in my ear that I get and then tried to relax on his chest and sleep. I fell asleep about 10 mins or so later, then was fine this morning when I woke up.

It really worried me!

WantToGoingTo · 06/01/2015 10:46

number ov had heart racing before, I asked my mum (ob gyn) and mw and they both said it is common in pg due to increase in blood flow. I have only had it couple of times late at night.

Naturegirl82 · 06/01/2015 10:52

Good news Penny

Number3cometome · 06/01/2015 11:01

Great news Penny!

I hated it, felt like I was going to have a panic attack and then worried it wouldn't slow down which of course made it worse.

WantToGoingTo · 06/01/2015 11:14

number yes I had the same - panicking about possibly having a panic attack! The irony. Hope it doesn't happen to you again Thanks

TinyCaterpillar · 06/01/2015 11:48

number I've had that heart racing thing too, it's awful isn't it. How are you feeling now? Flowers

I can't fit into any of my clothes any more (except baggy jumpers!) so I had a big clear out and now my wardrobe is full of mat stuff, still doesn't really seem real though! I've gained about 7lbs so far but I'm actually pleased about this as in my last two pregnancies I gained a stone by this stage! So I feel positively svelte in comparison! Smile no doubt I'll make up for it soon though. I'm 12+4 today.

Zampa · 06/01/2015 11:48

Fleur I also have fat hips, as my DP commented!

I've put on about 7lbs so far (5 in the first 8 weeks and only 2 in the past 4). I'm expecting to gain an extra 30lbs but have agreed with DP to lose it all by Christmas 2015 (ambitious?).

Naturegirl82 · 06/01/2015 11:51

Zampa I wouldn't worry too much at the moment about losing it. Everyone says you lose loads breastfeeding but some people (like me unfortunately) cling on to a bit of tummy fat that no amount of exercising was going to shift, and I don't think I would have lost it until I stopped bf. Instead I just got pregnant again Grin

Naturegirl82 · 06/01/2015 11:53

Also meant to say I obsessed about my weight last time and kept using those weight gain calculators which always told me I was well over the weight gain for about the first 25 weeks, but by the end I was bang on the recommended amount. It doesn't go on gradually so as long as you are eating sensibly* and listening to your body then it will be fine.

*and sensibly includes things like coleslaw and crisps Smile and anything else your body is craving

Number3cometome · 06/01/2015 11:57

Tiny - feeling ok now, heart is beating nicely about 60 bpm (mine normally goes around 50 bpm)

OH text me to say he is sorry he wasn't more sympathetic and feels bad, I suspect he may have told a female colleague I was panicking in the night and they had a word with him about his sympathy skills haha!

Fleurchamp · 06/01/2015 11:57

I have an agreement with DH that I will not weigh more than him Shock

It's a running joke now as he is whippet thin and struggles to put on weight. Therefore my plan is to fatten him up!

(My DH wasn't being nasty about me, we were just having a frank discussion and he said that I have fat on my hips which wasn't there 2 weeks ago).

I have packed away my skinny jeans Sad
