also WANT hope your dad gets better soon

Naturegirl82 · 03/01/2015 15:59

itsnot which slings did you try out of interest? I've got 32gg sized boobs so fairly sizeable and not had any issues using slings with dd1. I'm still hoiking her around in front parent facing slings at 11 months.

Leela5 · 03/01/2015 17:03

I've had cramps since waking up this morning, like mini contractions. I'm wondering if it's baby movement or stretchy pains.

I want a travel system so that I can get in and out of car without disturbing baby. We'll get sling too though for walking around.

I just managed to bag a swing rocker for £30 on a Facebook baby sale page. All my friends say they are a must to put baby in during day to settle.

Number3cometome · 03/01/2015 17:27

Decided to have a little lay down at 2pm and just woke up Shock
Feel so lazy but I was shattered, also hate sleeping in the day. Want ice cream Envy

Leela me too, I laughed earlier and got a sharp pain low down Confused

broodylicious · 03/01/2015 18:14

Swing rocker - another thing I won't be buying again. Dd abso hated it, much preferred mummy or daddy! Luckily, we sold it for what we paid for it. Having said that, my sister bought a cheap and cheerful one and my nephew did used to sleep in it.

If anyone lives within an hour or so's drive of Peterborough btw, or fancies a detour there, kiddicare superstore is well worth the hike. Often have good one off deals in store as well as online. Great for comparing tons of pushchairs and car seats too.

itsnotthatdeep · 03/01/2015 19:18

NATURE I was a 36l when breastfeeding last time and had a babybjorn or whatever they were called maybe sling is wrong word 'carrier' maybe better was just sooooo annoying n I felt like her head was propped on my boobs the whole time.

The swing things weren't really a thing when I had dd all that time ago she had a vibrating bouncer thing from fisher price. With us having a dog I think there is less chance of using stuff like this, so this is why I've bought a travel cot.

I can't get over how much things have changed in 9 years ShockShock all I know the pushchairs just get ever prettier and more expensive.

Aretepetite · 03/01/2015 19:26

I will pick the 4head up Bust and give it a try. thanks x

Good stuff Itsnotthatdeep re: goodies you have been given :) I have been offered some stuff too, though not sure exactly what yet ! I know her pram broke so it wont be that. I'll be thankful for anything. As someone mentioned already, there is so much available to get for our little ones so any help is appreciated Grin

I am also going to put on my 'To Do List' to locate and visit a sling library so thanks for that info Nature x

Nice to here that your Dad is feeling better to want x

I had a busy afternoon. Came home, done dinner and I need to go straight back out the door again ! If I sit too long I fear I will nod off Confused
At 14 weeks I am feeling 'restricted' in this pg already. Between the breathlessness, bloat and tight clothes I feel a lot further on :( I had mc in Sept and according to scan dates we conceived immediately after. Therefore I have been pg for 5 months other than 10 days in between so that will also be contributing to this.

These holidays have me totally out of sorts, I am looking forward to Monday to get school run back on then back to work myself on Tues :) In spite of symptoms I will be glad to be back into some sort of routine, which I doubt would be the case if the nausea was still here. Fx that the nausea/vomiting stays away or goes away even for all of you still suffering.
Hope you all have good weekends and that all the crappy symptoms start shifting now we are all almost in the 2nd trimester Flowers We may even start getting the mystical pg glow in my dreams Grin

I will be straight to bed when i'm back so Goodnight all xx

Fleurchamp · 03/01/2015 20:02

Evening all!

I have wasted spent the afternoon browsing the internet for baby things. WOW it can all add up!!! I had no idea Blush

I have absolutely no symptoms again. Looking forward to my scan on Tuesday for, hopefully, reassurance.

Leela5 · 03/01/2015 20:09

Arête I'm so sorry for your loss in sept. I also mc in sept so like you I've been pregnant pretty much since August. I'm now 12+1

I also feel so much further on as a result and time feels like it's dragging.

Littledragon13 · 03/01/2015 21:45

arete I went and tried out the Venicci mini silver today... Loved it! The quality was fantastic, a lot better than others in the price range at the shop I was in. Also it includes everything included in the price. We've placed our order! X

Thepurplegiraffe · 03/01/2015 21:54

Arete, Leela, I also mc in September so I feel a bit the same but I had a few weeks in between. It still feels like this has been going on forever though, especially as I feel so awful. Kind of reassuring though I guess. Not looking forward to Monday!

Leela5 · 03/01/2015 22:00

Yes Smile although unpleasant the nausea is reassuring. What's happening Monday?

WantToGoingTo · 03/01/2015 22:46

Sent the email to work. Boss in Australia though so no reply yet due to time differences. Been manically refreshing emails all day though cos she has nothing better to do in the middle of a Saturday night in sunny climes I am so nervous to receive the reply! I also sent to her personal email as wasn't sure which she would check on hols but now wondering whether I shouldn't as it is intrusive :S I just wanted her to read and know about it before my scan on Friday. Argh I worry too much. :/

All tho talk of prams really no idea except I want it to fit in the boot of my corsa and car seat be easy to manoeuvre in 3 door car. May sign up to which...

misseskimo · 03/01/2015 22:55

I seem to have gotten my nausea and dizziness back also. Though it's more in the evenings this time, mainly when I'm laying down. Hopefully will go quickly as I'm back to work Monday for the first time in a month!

I've finally given in and picked up a prescription the Dr gave me for haemorrhoid cream Blush I've been trying to just stick to the fybogel and OJ/veg but got to a point now that even so much as wearing underwear is hurting sorry for tmi so been living in PJs... Now given in, and fingers crossed it helps!

Is anyone else experiencing really bad dandruff and dry skin? I usually have naturally oily skin, although sensitive, but since being pg I'm getting skin so dry I have to use E45 cream on my boobs and upper arms after evey shower as it actually hurts from feeling so tight and itchy! Also never had dandruff before, but I barely have to touch my scalp atm and my fingers come away with dandruff! Been using H&S for a few weeks but its made no difference at all! So strange!

smallgreenbanana · 04/01/2015 06:55

Thanks tiny and sophie and everyone else for the advice on buggies.

I could do with some more advice on trousers... A lot of the maternity trousers seem to have enormous stretchy over-the-bump bands. I don't really have a big bump now and I can't stand anything touching my belly anyway as I feel so bloated and uncomfortable. What can I do?

Thepurplegiraffe · 04/01/2015 07:37

Leela, just my return to work on Monday. That is enough to make me feel thoroughly depressed today though as I don't like the job much at the best of times and feeling awful there is even worse.

Smallgreen I am still in normal jeans but from memory you can get over the bump and under the bump which are better for earlier stages. I didn't wear over the bump until quite late last time. I also just wore looser trousers and stretchy skirts and dresses for quite a while. It will be harder this time though as it will still be winter which is option limiting. I also know some friends wore normal trousers with safety pins and elastic bands to fasten them but I never tried that.

Littledragon13 · 04/01/2015 07:59

miss I'm having problem with dandruff too along with a pimple like rash all over my back and is coming down the tops of my arms now. My SIL is pregnant too but further along than me and said she had all this but it has cleared up now.

I'm just glad it's not summer and I can keep my back covered up, it looks awful!

Leela5 · 04/01/2015 08:16

Miss I've got dry skin on my legs very itchy.

For dandruff try baby cradle cap shampoo or T gel. H&S is very harsh and I'm never convinced it's good for you

I've got under bump trousers, they are comfy

broodylicious · 04/01/2015 08:24

purple, will be thinking of you tomorrow. Hope it won't be as bad as you imagine and time will fly by Thanks

want, how's your dad? What a start to the new year, hey?!Sad

Thepurplegiraffe · 04/01/2015 08:31

Thanks Broody, I know I need to stop being a wimp and deal with it. Only 5 1/2 months to goSmile

Pipbin · 04/01/2015 08:36

Miss. I've got dry patches on the inside of my elbow.

Good luck to all those having scans tomorrow. I am so jealous, I've got to wait for the 19th.

broodylicious · 04/01/2015 08:42

Not at all a wimp purple - I remember feeling the same when I was at my last permanent job (I work for myself now). I was so miserable and every little thing about the place used to drive me completely bonkers, it wasn't a nice phase of my life at all. But yes, right now, focus on your bubba and think of your summer mat leave, with lovely long warm days cooing over your bundle of beautySmile

Number3cometome · 04/01/2015 08:50

Morning,

Anyone else got those burst capillary sports on their face? One of mine looks like a black eye from being sick. So attractive. Just woke up and haven't hugged the bowl yet.

Had some horrible vivid dreams last night about no baby on the ultrasound so feeling tearful this morning Sad

Number3cometome · 04/01/2015 08:50

spots not sports. Defo no sports here!!

Naturegirl82 · 04/01/2015 09:11

small I couldn't wear over the bump trousers last time as they made me too hot so I stuck to under the bump or ones with stretchy side panel inserts. You should be able to find those fairly easily.
