Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 18th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 35th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Mm both those stories sound far more pleasant than the other way.

Maybe I'll wait to see if I go past due date for the snowsuit issue.

Leela5 · 30/12/2014 21:21

Min you sound blissful, it's so lovely to hear.

Hope you've all had a nice day, my horse had a tight back down one side but physio fixed it and he's all shiny and new again :)

I just ordered Ewan the Dream Sheep with my MN secret Santa present Grin. I felt it was a fitting first purchase for my baby.

Watching Harry potter. Keep forgetting I've got work tomorrow, boo!

Does anyone els get eczema? Mines worse since pregnancy

willywallace · 30/12/2014 21:38

No but have had some weird skin rashes, dry skin and itching since being pg. What do you put on it normally?

RPopz · 30/12/2014 21:50

Aw La Smile That's awesome.

I have eczema but it's not flared up so far while I've been preg. I read somewhere pregnancy either makes it loads better or loads worse.... I think pg hormones can make you a bit drier in general. I always use Aveeno. Heard good things about coconut balm for dryness.

Leela5 · 30/12/2014 22:31

E45 does the trick but at night I scratch til I bleed - the heat sets it off on my legs. It's been really bad since I got pregnant. I'll just layer myself with cream when I go to bed

Fleurchamp · 30/12/2014 22:41

Hi all!

I have loads to catch up on. Must copy and paste that list leela, thank you! Has anyone else received pleas to buy something for the baby from family members when you tell them your news?
I find it a bit odd!

la I have two scans next week Blush I booked the harmony package at FMC and I also have my NHS one. I thought about cancelling the NHS one but, from my current experience with them I am worried this will take me out of the system/ notes from FMC not meeting their criteria etc. So I am being greedy and having both. I do feel better for having my scan last week and my belly is definitely growing (using hair band to keep skinny jeans up!) - so fingers crossed!
Not sure how I am going to explain two absences from work Confused

willywallace · 30/12/2014 22:44

Can you just be vague and say medical appointment Fleur?

My itching settled down by the third trimester La, hopefully yours does too (or sooner).

couldbeanyone · 30/12/2014 23:14

Hi I had an EMCS last time, up and about next morning (gingerly!) but honestly felt pretty much normal after 2 weeks except for the lack of stomach muscles. Drove after 5 weeks. Was as active as I could be which I think really helps.

lildottie · 30/12/2014 23:33

la I love that list. you're saving me hours!

min glad to hear all is going well.

I hate the idea of cs. all being well I plan for as au naturel as possible. I don't want no bloody needles near my spine or scissors in my belly no thank you! paranoid much! I'm am fully aware I may live to eat my words!

willywallace · 31/12/2014 05:25

God now I have The Fear about labour. I have the crappest pain threshold.

What are everyone's plans for tonight?

Minion · 31/12/2014 06:38

My Oh so exciting new years night will consist of pj's, cherry coke, Christmas cake and leftovers, with a breast pump whirring away, movie and walking around quietly hoping R won't stir.
Rock on i say!
Never been one for ny eve tho, so I'm prob the wrong one to answer.
How about you?

Leela5 · 31/12/2014 07:39

Morning. Worst nights sleep ever and I've got to go to work today :(

Meant to be going to a house party tonight - just a chilled one. But I'll see how I feel. Will definitely need a nap

I don't really like nye I normally work iron a bar

Leela5 · 31/12/2014 08:00

Lauren - I've posted another horse dilemma in tack room. You might be interested...

willywallace · 31/12/2014 08:14

That sounds pretty nice actually Min. I think everyone hates NYE don't they? The best year we had a wedding to go to - much better than fighting the crowds in some bar.

We have a house party too but it's take kids along etc so will be tame and also we won't stay too long with the two year old.

Popz how's about getting yourself in the news with first baby of the year? Wink

ZylaB · 31/12/2014 08:21

We've got 10 friends over for buffet and lots of alcohol(except for me!). Most of them are stopping over too!!

It'll be good, I'm off to the shops soon to buy ingredients to make chocolate and ginger cheesecake, yum!

laurenamium · 31/12/2014 08:29

I'm off to a chilled family house party at my parents as soon as the carpet cleaners been. Those that want to will be playing with the bow and arrows, air gun and targets (I hate guns Confused) while me DD, DM and whoever else brush the ponies and muck out Grin then it'll be a huge buffet, karaoke and daft games and alcohol for anyone that wants it!

Off to the tack room now la!

ChatEnOeuf · 31/12/2014 09:30

La your list is pretty comprehensive now Smile You need somewhere to put that breast milk once expressed - bags are fine but make sure they are freezer safe! That's a mistake worthy of proper crying over spilt milk Grin I'd also recommend some milky bubble bath for soothing post birth relaxation. And a bundle of cheap flannels, both for washing and for cold compresses with aromatherapy soaks.

We're at my mum's house tonight - she turns 60 just after midnight so a joint celebration.

Good luck for scans, hope all is looking good. Fleur, I'd just go with the doctor's appointment line for now. They will all figure it out in a few weeks anyway.

We did do a big FB announcement - living away we wanted to tell all our friends and that was the easiest way. All the immediate family knew first which was nice. We got a range of lovely responses and a few 'we wondered when the next one would be here!' comments Hmm

ChatEnOeuf · 31/12/2014 09:35

Min I remember clearly DD's first NYE. We got kicked out of our local at half nine as there's no kids allowed in once the kitchen shuts at 9pm. About six of us went back to our house, DD went to sleep. The monkey woke up at 23.50, so I insisted on pausing the TV until I was back. Technically I saw in the new year with everyone, and I stopped time Grin

Pisghetti · 31/12/2014 10:29

I'm going to a house party. I don't mind house parties but really hate being out in town for NYE. DS has been specifically invited as the kid's entertainment (he's into cards and magic tricks). After the kids are in bed I'll mostly be keeping him away from the booze. His dad and I used to alternate NYE but the last time he was with his dad, he went to bed early leaving DS to see in the new year by himself Shock I'd been at a house party and would have been more than happy to take him had I known. So now I always have him.

I used to work in a restaurant and two years on the trot I heard people cheering in the new year while having a wee Hmm once is an accident, twice is idiotic.

Zyla your cheesecake sounds awesome! I've been super lazy. I offered to take a savoury dish for the party tonight. I think people are expecting my famous omelette layer cake. I'm actually taking two bags of frozen potato wedges and some dips Blush

RPopz · 31/12/2014 10:34

I had itchy night time legs for a while! Only in bed though... I was really paranoid we had fleas... Hmm Hope it settles down soon La

No plans for tonight... DH won't even go out for a meal. I quite fancy getting dressed up! We always worked in bars when we were younger so never really got into the Nye thing. People act like total dicks, its a real eye opener.

You sound so happy Min! Bit jeal of your newborn times Smile

Minion · 31/12/2014 10:41

Don't be, yours will be along shortly. The downside of having a good sleeper at the moment is she's so still I wake myself up just to check she's OK.
Which she is, just a proper snoozy bear.

DulcetMoans · 31/12/2014 10:52

Double scan week fleur? That is excited!

I obviously have no CS experience but my cousin had one with her first and wasn't keen to repeat. Not sure how long her overall recovery was but she struggled right at the beginning with not being able to bend down to pick baby up from Moses basket over night or push the Hoover around so her mum was there helping but it became annoying.

Not a great night sleep here either. Not been great anyway with coughing etc but at one of the wake ups yesterday my brain was just activated and refused to sleep. Was thinking about work, plane crashes and terrible scan results - over and over. Bad times!

Just a quiet NYE here too, involving sofa, film and whatever food I can manage.

willywallace · 31/12/2014 11:23

Oh no don't think about plane crashes, that's horrible. Hope you feel better soon. Thanks I couldn't really do any of that afterwards either. MrWil had to pass the baby to me to be fed and I struggled to walk but also couldn't sit down. Plus I had to stick suppositories (sp?) up my bum (TMI I know). I'm just having a panic anyway. Have no chance of a CS unless it's an emergency one.

Must tidy up. I am so goddamn lazy!

Ah Pis, wedges and dip will be fine although omelette cake does sound pretty amazing.

willywallace · 31/12/2014 12:40

Oh God I've just weighed myself for the first time since booking. I've put on 2 stone! Had better start making some NY resolutions!

Leela5 · 31/12/2014 13:11

Don't worry about plane crashes dulcet! Very very rare which is why they make the headlines.

Have a lovely time whatever you're doing tonight!
