tiddles congrats and welcome, good luck with the scan

ots hooray for heartbeats being heard!

Zaccheryquack · 19/12/2014 15:02

tiddles welcome and congratulations.

ots just had my 16 week appointment too. Was so lovely to hear the heartbeat. I think the 16 week appointment was the one where I finally relaxed last time and think it may be the same this time around.

pasbeaucoupdegendarme · 19/12/2014 15:06

How many of you are getting regular movement now?

I thought I was getting some last weekend - 15 weeks with 2nd baby so plausible I thought. Not a sausage in the week, to the point I was worried but realised I may not actually have been feeling baby before. Now I am having a rest on sofa after busy night with croupy dd, lots of squiggles. Hurrah! But then again, just texted DH to say I may be getting all gooey and excited over imminent farts GrinGrin I want to be sure it is the bean!! (Not the beans... As it were...)

AnythingNotEverything · 19/12/2014 15:31

I'm 13+3 and have had the odd flutter, but can't be sure it's baby (3rd pregnancy). I think my retroverted uterus might not be helping.

Glad the 16 week appts are going well.

I'm 17 weeks now. I was definitely feeling small movements a few weeks back but now I have an anterior placenta I'm feeling nothing again.

Chookford · 19/12/2014 16:34

zach great news on another good 16wk appt!

I'm feeling regular movement now but im almost 18wks... up until last week it was intermittent but since then it's been daily hopefully it won't be led before we are all feeling it!

JennyOfOldstones · 19/12/2014 16:39

I have had definite movement since Sunday (am 16+3). Only maybe once a day and when I am lying very still. It happened at work yesterday and I was sat at my desk with a big grin on my face! Management want me to wait until after Christmas to tell everyone for some reason. I am sure they are wondering why I am suddenly the size of a small planet.

Phryn · 19/12/2014 17:36

Great news on good scans and 16 week appointments.

I think I'm feeling flutters but as a first time Mum I'm not sure cos I have nothing to compare it too! Confused. Looking forward to something a bit more obvious in due course.

Really need to go and get ready for husbands work do. No idea what to wear or what I'll fit into. I've spent today working from home in tracky bottoms and a hoodie. Am currently so comfy I don't want to change but I'm not going to a "do" like this!

jazzy could i join the fb group please?

BingoBonkers · 19/12/2014 18:56

Hello Gr33dy! Good for you on complaining. Let's hope they make the necessary changes.

I am definitely feeling regular flutterings. I'm 14+3 and third baby.

We are going out tonight but I don't have the energy or enthusiasm. DC are massively playing up and I can't be bothered to intervene. I also had an unintentional nap on the sofa earlier.

jazzyjenbo · 19/12/2014 19:02

Started a friday night fun post on the fb page about baby names as i know sum ppl dont like using MN to whittle down names as they can be a tough crowd on the baby names threads!

Anyone wanting to join can inbox me there real names and profile pic description and i can add this evening x

traceybaybee · 19/12/2014 19:25

With your first baby when would movement roughly start and how do you tell what way your womb is? Not sure how to word it lol

AnythingNotEverything · 19/12/2014 19:35

With my first I felt movement at about 18 weeks. It was very clear, like bubbles popping inside. It started all of a sudden, without warning.

With my second it was more like 13 I think, and much lower down and gentler.

I would describe your uterus as being belly button down ... As it gets bigger it sort of loves up and out.

Evening all, glad to see lots of. 16 wk appts going well, I had mine today and heard HB nice and clearly Smile
Dp and I are away without children this weekend, hoping for lots of extra sleep and yummy food, last time we came I was feeling quite sick so it's lovely to feel well this time, although our bed here is worse than home so that may not go to plan! Baby feels very Boy like at the moment but only a few days before we know for sure, I'd still like a surprise but dp needs time to get his head around a girly I think, not sure why as our bits are much louder than the girls. I'll just be happy with a healthy baby. Finally things seem to be going quickly, we are all nearly half way, that's crazy!

Elizabethnaylor1980 · 19/12/2014 19:45

emz only one is inspired by the O.C and that is Cohen. Seth was my dad's middle name and I ve always loved it, Caleb is one that has been in family many years ago, I saw it on family tree. But yes actually all 3 are mentioned in the O.C thinking about it lol, but only Cohen is directly from it.

TiddlesUpATree · 19/12/2014 19:58

Hi ladies. Ooh 16 week heartbeats how lovely. Our scan was good. Small wriggly baby. Couldn't get the correct position so we were there for 3 hours giving us plenty of time to quiz the scanner lady (can't remember proper job title) she said best guess is a girl. Eek. Not sure how our nearly 3 yr old boy will take that. Xxx

Emz1989 · 19/12/2014 20:00

I always thought Cohen would be a nice first name too! My name shortlist is still very much a long list at the mo- we've grown quite attached to referring to bump as 'Baby G' and the thought of calling it anythingb else still seems strange haha!

Tranquilitybaby · 19/12/2014 20:12

Ah lovely frontera the 16 week appointments are beginning and going well. Glad your scan went well too Tiddles.

With my first I didn't feel movement until 20 weeks, 2nd was 18 weeks. This one I've found the odd flutter here and there since 13 weeks but nothing regular. Ice water or fruit juice can stimulate movement from about 18 weeks x

Tranquilitybaby · 19/12/2014 20:24

Frontera? What Xmas Confused

Chookford · 19/12/2014 20:25

smug glad your 16wk appt went well

tiddles congrats on good scan news!

I used to love the O.C! Smile

Chookford · 19/12/2014 20:25

Grin tranquility

Tranquilitybaby · 19/12/2014 20:30

My phone does actually hate me it seems!

Emz1989 · 19/12/2014 20:54

So lovely to be hearing about good 16 week appointments - my edd is june 25th so I'm one of the later ones... Jan 12th for my 16 week me appt but will see the consultant haematologist before then on jab 6th, although I'm not sure what that appointment will involve tbh!
I used to love the OC too - might have to dig out my box set for maternity leave!!

Elizabethnaylor1980 · 19/12/2014 20:58

emz we currently call the tiny bump "jb" short for jellybean, my OH has said that no matter what their official name is, he will probably call them JB forever lol.
Ooooh I may have to get on Netflix and watch it all again, I am doing that with Revenge at the moment.
