New thread, as the other one was nearly full! Can someone please post the stats page, as I'm useless with things like that!

Great news caterpillar I am getting scan envy!

stone I have been swimming once this week. The thing is, I feel so much better for it after I have been- I just need a shove to get off the sofa!!

Naturegirl82 · 19/12/2014 15:27

Some good scan pics there Smile
Congratulations on the positive scan news.

I'm just about to leave work for my scan eek.

Number3cometome · 19/12/2014 15:27

Nature all the best and enjoy x

Pipbin · 19/12/2014 16:04

Good news Tiny and great picture Giraffe

Naturegirl82 · 19/12/2014 17:00

All looks good. Strong heartbeat and wriggling around. Dated at 10+4 so two days behind the earliest possible date I thought it could be. All looked good for that gestational age and will probably have another scan on the 30th. Smile

Number3cometome · 19/12/2014 17:07

Nature Great news!

Fleurchamp · 19/12/2014 17:28

Ah congrats nature

I want my scan now but I am also so scared on case it's not good news, ignorance is currently bliss

misseskimo · 19/12/2014 17:28

Some lovely scan pics this week - I'm jealous and partly wishing I gave in and got a private one before telling people tomorrow and xmas day, but I suppose I only had one at 8wks so can't be greedy! Blush

Aretepetite technically it was my DH's idea but I'll take the credit for him Wink hehe. Looks really awesome though, mine is still sitting on the side as I only have an 8wk scan and don't want to put that inside!

Aretepetite · 19/12/2014 17:51

Lovely scan pics :)

Miss thank you it is pretty to look at :) I hope your dinner goes well tomorrow and good luck for letting them all know, it will be such a lovely time x

After thinking I was moving out of the crap stages of 1st trimester it looks like I may have spoken to soon :(
Managed to get our for a Christmas lunch but feel so sluggish!

I am keeping up with you all though and apologies for not being involved.

We gave opted not to get the tests and we're in agreement however DH wants to find out the sex whereas I don't. Soo since I have no energy at the moment it is being left on the 'to discuss' pile Xmas Smile

The appt system is pretty shocking,

So pleased for you Tiny,Giraffe & Nature and everyone else who have had positive scans, it is so reassuring. DH and I would like one in the house Grin only half joking!

Well over and out for me, have a lovely weekend all of you.

Toastandmarmiteallday · 19/12/2014 19:49

So very jealous of all these lovely scan pics ladies! Still waiting to see our bean and completely agree Fleur ignorance is bliss until we finally get to scan day on 7 Jan - least we have christmas to keep us entertained in the meantimeXmas Smile

Thought the end was almost in sight with the nausea but has returned big time now that I am recovering from my throat and ear infection so back on the rice cakes and constant grazing!

Maybe off the thread for the next 2 weeks so Happy Christmas ladies and keep those little beans safe Smile

Congratulations on the lovely scans ladies Xmas Smile

I told my boss today, she was great and very supportive. So ready to tell extended family over Xmas, which I'm quite excited about.

Re bump/bloat...this is DC1 & I'm 10+3, in the mornings I look the same as pre-preg (if a bit more busty Hmm) but by the end of the day I definately have more of a tummy! Looking forward to more of a bump, I just feel a bit chunky at the moment! Smile

10+3

misseskimo · 20/12/2014 00:36

Thanks artepetite I'm already not looking forward to it. Where I've been off work and in bed/on the sofa unwell the past 2wks my sciatica (left side) is playing up, Dr told me to do some light stretches and now my lower spine is killing me, plus it's sending sharp pains down my right side. So however I sit or lay atm is painful or uncomfortable Sad

major rant alert - apologies in advance Not to mention DH parents dropped a bombshell on us at 6:30pm this evening... Ringing my DH to tell him their now coming over by train (which is at least 4times more expensive than driving would be not to mention the cab they'll need both ways on their side to get to station!) and need us to pick them up at the station! So not only does that mean DH now can't have any drink tomorrow, he will also be gone a good 45 mins whilst picking them up... Then, to top it all off, we only have 4 chairs for our dining table, so his parents were going to bring 4 more with them for us all to eat together... But now their coming by train, they can't do that! Their idea of a workaround? For 4 people to sit in the living room with trays and 4 at the table!! I mean REALLY?! Our living room is literally on the other side of the house and they know that. Plus I am intending on having the food on self-serve platters on the table, and I want to put the announcement cards on the table also. Defeats the object of a family xmas dinner. AIBU here? hormones or justified stressy-wifey?
Thankfully after some panicked calling, my wonderful mother is going to bring up 4 garden chairs and meet my DH at a layby off the main road on her way to work tomorrow morning (about 20mins each way for DH, but I can't complain). So at least that parts semi-sorted, though it does mean I will now loose DH for most of the morning when I could really do with his help getting ready... The house is a tip where I've not felt up to tidying this week and I've never cooked fresh meat from scratch before (veggie) which I stupidly decided to do rather than a frozen "ready roast" type of thing. Really not looking forward to it all now Sad

Naturegirl82 · 20/12/2014 07:35

sherbert I'm the same but I'm blaming it on all the bread and cheese I am consuming during the day.

miss that sounds like an absolute pain. Did they say why they had changed their plans? At least you have the chairs sorted. What meat are you cooking?

A day of Christmas shopping and house sorting for me today.

We are telling family on Xmas day. Very cheesy but we have bought dd1 a tshirt with "I'm going to be a big sister" on it. Plan to take a photo and pop it in everyone's Xmas cards with a copy of the scan pic and give it to them after presents have been opened.

WantToGoingTo · 20/12/2014 07:38

miss I would be equally annoyed! Doesn't sound like the most convenient travel plans Hmm but at least your mum has helped out :)

Re meat - 30min sizzle at 200c, rub skin etc with salt and pepper beforehand, then cook for 30mins per lb. if you poke it with a knife and the juices run clear it is ready :) that is difficult to leave a veggie to cook the meat though I have to say! Good luck Thanks

So bloated this morn. Wanted a lie in but DH has lost wallet so I now need to go with him to give a card deposit for a hire van so we can go pick up our new sofabed. I so want to stay in bed! We are having Xmas party tonight I hope I feel well for it! Already feel nauseous...

9+1

WantToGoingTo · 20/12/2014 07:39

The 30mins per lb should be at lower heat of 180! Sorry forgot that bit

headlesschicken247 · 20/12/2014 08:26

Would also add cover with foil and remove for last 30 mins to prevent skin burning

TinyCaterpillar · 20/12/2014 08:28

So tired today.... Slept from 8-10 on the sofa, then 11-4 in bed, woke up for 2 hours for no reason Hmm and then slept 6-7.30! Feel absolutely awful, hate broken sleep...

That sounds really stressful miss. I hope it all works out. So glad I'm not hosting this year!

Toastandmarmiteallday · 20/12/2014 08:33

Sherbet and Nature - me too! My stomach looked ridiculous by the evening yesterday! Had to show DH and asked him to feel how hard it was - his response "are you sure your pg and not just getting fat?" Which had us both in hysterics (lucky for him as otherwise he may have got a slap!). In hindsight probably wasn't the sexiest way to initiate dtd but we did have such a giggle!
Miss - Wishing you all the best with the cooking and family

Bustherb · 20/12/2014 09:43

Does anyone bleed after dtd? Before I was pregnant I did anyway but since becoming pregnant I we've dtd a few times and this morning is the only time I've wiped and had a bit of red blood . Even though I know it's probably nothing I can't help but worry! X

misseskimo · 20/12/2014 09:56

Thanks for tips headless & want I genuinely dont mind cooking meat, but I'm always scared I'll give people food poisoning as I don't know how to cook it properly. And it's not like I can taste test to check it's ok! Lol.

I genuinely am starting to think I'm jinxed. Just got a text from SIL saying one of her DS has been sick all night and this morning so their cancelling (which is understandable, and I don't blame her in anyway) and DH parents have decided if DSis and kids aren't coming then there's no point them coming either. So I have a fridge FULL of food, no room in freezer, and no one to cook for Sad my parents are busy, as is my closest living sister. I don't know whether to laugh or cry

Pipbin · 20/12/2014 10:03

I've got simply no symptoms again. Honestly, if I didn't know I was pg then I wouldn't suspect it iyswim

WantToGoingTo · 20/12/2014 10:12

Oh no miss! I would have thought your pil should still come though? Can you persuade them to? Otherwise invite all the neighbours round Wink

BadIdeaBear · 20/12/2014 11:04

Oh no miss it's going from bad to worse...! Do you know any colleagues/ friends who might be on their own this Christmas who you could invite, albeit rather last minute?!

JoY007 · 20/12/2014 12:14

Afternoon Ladies! Congrats to all with the lovely scan pictures, so looking forward to mine.

Bought a little Xmas gift for the little one, had it wrapped and all as my announcement.

Office Xmas party yesterday, not bad, no one questioned my not drinking, but I think they are just being polite, they know what's up. Wink

Hip/pelvic pain eased off this morning, I slept on the painful side might have done the trick Confused. I seem to have more headaches now, anyone experiencing the same?
