New thread, as the other one was nearly full! Can someone please post the stats page, as I'm useless with things like that!

Virtual fx for you Flowers

I've been enjoying catching up with all your news, ladies. Smile

Slight grumbles to share, I'm afraid.

No scan date for me yet. MW said to call if I've not heard after 2 weeks, so I'm going to call tomorrow after the post has come. After the fiasco of the 20-minute booking appointment (because the receptionist didn't realise I needed a booking appointment!), stretched to 40-minutes, rushed through everything and missed out a whole load of stuff I thought we would talk about... not to mention discovering that "choice" on the NHS in my area seems to be the same as "no choice" and btw, there are 10 mws on your team, so everything is going to be super impersonal! (I am very envious of all you ladies who seem to have the most amazing antenatal services!)... I'm a bit Hmm

Been feeling ever so slightly worse this week in some ways. It's quite a busy time at work and I have to keep up. Discovered yesterday that DH's Christmas work do is really late - 8pm for drinks, eating at 9pm! Where do I start? Quite apart from the fact that I feel nauseous by about 3pm, and by 9pm I feel terrible, I have to eat by 7pm and generally I go to bed by about 9.30 as sleep means I don't have to feel sick! Hmm again. I don't want to miss out Sad. I'm pregnant, not a social pariah.

On the plus side, a friend lent me the book 'Bumpology' which is great. Grin

VirtualSantaHat · 16/12/2014 20:04

Had scan 4 weeks ago, but not feeling positive lots of cramps and passing clots

WantToGoingTo · 16/12/2014 20:09

virtual Thanks :( have my fx for you

TouchPauseEngage · 16/12/2014 20:21

virtual fingers crossed for you.

I had my dating scan this morning and im 11+6.

All is well and we saw a wriggly thing in there. Had NT screen too. Sonographer said all looked good but will wait for blood results before we relax.

Pipbin · 16/12/2014 20:44

I would be at the A&E complaining. I love the NHS but I would be creating over this virtual.
How was the last scan? It might still be ok.

WantToGoingTo · 16/12/2014 21:13

I agree with others virtual if you are passing clots I would be ringing nhs 111 or going to minor injuries/a&e as you could get ill if it is a mc. And making you wait until thurs and bleeding stops is awful service at such a horrible and worrying time. I am sending you all my love and support, to you and all ladies with worries l, but I am glad to hear your DH is supporting you

Leela5 · 16/12/2014 21:31

I was told if clots or cramps go to A&E. I really hope you're ok virtual, how unhelpful of epu. Sending you positive thoughts

misseskimo · 16/12/2014 21:44

Got my fx crossed for you virtual I would personally go to the Walk-in centee or similar to try get seen sooner. I know my EPU told me that although their self-referral they have to hold apts. Free for emergencies so to go to the Dr's and they can refer to get you seen quicker. Maybe the same for you?

I've just git back from Dr's myself. He thinks I may have a viral infection, but can't be certain as it could just be pg symptoms. He also said thinks it could be high stress levels and has signed me for for yet another week telling me to rest and not do anything stressful... We discussed MH history and he's advised me to start CBT, and has referred me to Rethink who I have to call tomorrow. So basically either viral infection or pre-natal depression. And I'm only 10+2. Wonderful lol

Romeolovesjuliet · 16/12/2014 21:51

Thinking of you virtual - hang on in there.

Really pleased to hear the positive scan news today. Only 2 days until I finish work until Jan. will be glad not to have to worry about trying to hide bump/ falling asleep at my desk/dealing with the dreaded nausea in a stuffy office.

8+6

Butler4 · 16/12/2014 21:59

Virtual hope everything is ok. midwife at my booking in appointment told me to phone maternity triage with any worries or questions at any point as this it like a&e for pregnant women. I would advise you call them. She said to speak with them at any time for advice

broodylicious · 16/12/2014 22:08

Thanks virtual. I'd go to a&e hun. My local trust has the same policy as yours - even if I went to gp, they wouldn't be able to get a scan appt for two to three days, which is why my mw told me to go to a&e if I started bleeding. Really hope everything is ok xxx

naty1 · 16/12/2014 22:15

smallgreen definitely worth calling about it. My letter arrived 3 working days +1 non working later so actually really quick.
I saw a mw who isnt usually based there. She was really good, but as i have said some communication issue between paperwork and hospital. Though maybe i should blame hospital as there was an issue with DC1 where i was booked for dating only.
As its on paper and in the post probably twice high chance this time of year of going astray.
Then i saw a different one yesterday again very good.
I think last time i alternated between 2 different ones.
What i would like would be to meet my mw for labour and find out tgeir opinion on epidural. As i dont want another that pushes so far with nothing i dont want g&a as for me it was absolutely useless (maybe my asthma) but another person at same hospital said the same.
Hopefully as its DC2 itll be a lot quicker and i dont get stuck at 2cm.
Please tell me thats the case those with 2 already.?

virtual i really hope it stops and you are ok. I dont know maybe there is a timeframe so they need to wait to see the end result rather than something possibly in progress with no clear which way it will go. Though i dont think so as it sounds common for women to bleed for a long time at a time.

It may be cost saving :(

TinyCaterpillar · 16/12/2014 22:48

Virtual that's awful, I can't believe they're making you wait so long. I had a huge bleed with my last pregnancy around 10 weeks and I just went straight to A&E. They got me in to see a gynae and did a scan then and there. Sometimes it's worth making a fuss, your peace of mind is really important Flowers

WantToGoingTo · 17/12/2014 08:26

virtual how are you this morning? Thanks

Pipbin · 17/12/2014 08:39

Virtual sending hugs. You were my first thought when I got up this morning.

Number3cometome · 17/12/2014 08:42

Virtual how are you? I think the others are right - get down to A&E you are what 10 weeks now? So this really should be treated urgently x

Toastandmarmiteallday · 17/12/2014 08:47

Also my first thought this morning virtual. Thinking of you Flowers

Overtiredbackagain · 17/12/2014 08:49

Really hoping you're ok Virtual and you get seen urgently Hmm

I feel like an emotional wreck today Confused

Number3cometome · 17/12/2014 08:53

I just feel so sick and hungry all the time? But then yesterday had a massive Christmas work lunch and felt full and sick, then hungry again?!

Today my belly is windy and making very loud noises, I am so embarrassed (and hungry!)

Overtiredbackagain · 17/12/2014 09:05

Oh I see Number3! Blaming baby bump for the noises?! Wink

I'm defo over the worst now, alot more hungry than I was, still certain smells turn my stomach though not badly. Just feel emotional today and really fooked off with OH. He's crap at talking about things, this digging his heels telling his parents, but that just makes me feel he's ashamed Hmm

I really need moral support right now, I don't have my family since they cut me off last year, he is my family but he doesn't seem to understand and I just feel lonely Confused

Must stop feeling sorry for myself!

Number3cometome · 17/12/2014 09:14

I think you are quite within your rights to feel sorry for yourself!

When exactly is he planning on telling them?

He is silly, they will be so happy for him so what's he worrying for?

WantToGoingTo · 17/12/2014 09:15

Ugh feeling nauseous today, properly so for first time. Woke up in night thinking I was going to vom Hmm and am so ridiculously bloated I look like I am about 18 weeks! Mum took me shopping yesterday though and I am now equipped with maternity jeans (folding over elastic bit atm) and lots of baggy jumpers :)

Mw appt and scan tomorrow, so nervous maybe that's why I feel sick!

8+5

broodylicious · 17/12/2014 09:18

Ha, number, same here! I get sick if I don't eat, sick if I do, then my tummy is all over the ruddy place! I actually think I got hunger pains the other day. Not good.

Still thinking of you virtual xx

twinky12 · 17/12/2014 09:35

Thinking of u virtual

number I constantly feel sick/hungry. While I'm eating I feel fine as soon as I stop back to sick and hungry. So annoying.

overtired I'm in the same position as u my oh parents do not live in this country. Hes not telling them at all until the baby is here. He says incase something happens. He wants me to hide the pregnancy from what little family I do speak to until its obvious. I feel ashamed 2 like its a dirty secret.

Overtiredbackagain · 17/12/2014 09:52

Number3 - He says he's feeling "forced" into telling them, he'll tell them at his pace, but what he seems to forget is I want to tell my DC, so I just feel like hes ashamed, either of the baby, or of me! His mum will be hurt if he doesn't tell him soon, and the bigger I get the more obvious it will be.

I feel incredibly lonely today Sad
