New thread, as the other one was nearly full! Can someone please post the stats page, as I'm useless with things like that!

Thanks for all the suggestions and advice regarding the antenatal appointments and two different cities. To those that asked we will be keeping our London home while I work in Bham for 9 months. The hope is that upon maternity leave we would return to our 'home' in London.

Interesting suggestions. I may just see if I can have my antenatal appointments in Bham whilst in working here and then to move them to London upon maternity leave and he birth.
Also taken the point on board regarding hubby's sentimental attachment. :)

But a good point was also made about me losing contact with the mums I meet in Bham antenatal classes. But I guess that may have to be a consequence for splitting myself between 2 cities! On the plus side DH has loads of close family in London so I do have a pretty good support network at the minute over there.

Thank you for the suggestions! I really don't know where I'd be without this thread to keep me sane. Currently struggling at work with severe nausea... I hope there's a light at the end of the tunnel. Sad

Pip great news! Glad to hear all is well.

Joy excellent stuff!!

Come on Virtual give us some good news!

itsnotthatdeep · 16/12/2014 14:21

Eskimo after being completely missed in my pregnancy and the ensuing mental breakdown I'd advise calling sooner rather later. big big hugs here I know whats its like and its always better to talk to someone.

Ring your midwife or your doctor x

Number3cometome · 16/12/2014 14:26

Pip I've added your scan to the list.

I've changed my due date as my scan dated me a week behind. I now have no due date twin!

BadIdeaBear · 16/12/2014 14:27

Glad to hear good news joy and pip.

Fx for virtual - hoping to hear good news from you soon.

I need a nap - I'm trying to read research papers in the library but may have to bail and go home for a kip...

Just told one of my best friends and I literally can't get over what she said in return... I'm 9+5 today... turns out she's 10! OMG!

Number3cometome · 16/12/2014 14:33

Misseskimo I really think you should make a face to face appointment with your GP and explain exactly how you feel.

It may just be the early days hormonal imbalance or it may last throughout your pregnancy, either way, it is best to get the advice and talk it through.

I have days where my OCD tries to kick off, but thankfully I am able to manage it at the moment. Mine is very much anxiety related, and I think that because I have had a scan I am slightly better this week (although it won't last)

Our GP's and midwives should know how to deal with us. I have a massive fear that I will have a panic attack which I will not be able to calm down from and they will have to sedate me which may harm my baby, or I may go crazy with thoughts.
One thing I get at the moment is ringing in my ears - I am 99.9% sure it is from my blood pressure tablets (can feel my heart in my ears too) and it makes me worry I will never sleep (this in turn sets off a panic).

It's all ridiculous I know, but try telling my brain that when it's in mid panic!

Speak to someone, speak to us, and get some proper advice.

Don't let it eat you up x

Number3cometome · 16/12/2014 14:34

BadIdeaBear and she's not on our thread? How rude!! Get her over here Grin

naty1 · 16/12/2014 14:59

All my antenatal group already had no2. Those that wanted to. 1 other ivfer so probably wont and 2 waiting/undecided.
2 got pg accidentally and had dc2 14m and 18m.
I was exhausted till 11m so no chance of that sort of gap. I think DC had reflux, or something and wouldnt nap longer than 40mins and almost always on me.

My dc will be going to her 15hrs free in sept if i get a place and DC2 would be like 6 weeks (4-8wks most likely) :(. So lots of germs. And i'll have to get baby up and DC1 dressed and there not looking forward to that. But may get time alone with baby so that would be good. Swings and roundabouts.

Pipbin · 16/12/2014 15:00

Number Can you link to the list again please?

Number3cometome · 16/12/2014 15:14

Not sure why it's come up like that!?

StoneBaby · 16/12/2014 15:43

Pip and Joy great news

JoY007 · 16/12/2014 15:46

With my recurring hip/pelvis pain, I have given in, told my Team Adminstrator /PA so she could arrange a DSE assessment and new chair. She was very sweet, said you don't look it, Smile bless her. Our office chairs are very comfortable, but with this pain I am having to stand up every 10 minutes to stretch Hmm with current ones.

twinky12 · 16/12/2014 16:14

Hi ladies, just been catching up been keeping a low profile. Had a suspected ectopic, scan showed all good but bean wasn't growing and no heartbeat. Had another scan today and all is well and they dated me 8 +1 with a nice strong heartbeat. Can breath again now. Hope you are all well Smile

Pipbin · 16/12/2014 16:38

Its a day for good scans I think Twinky.

Pipbin · 16/12/2014 16:54

Has anyone heard from Virtual?

JoY007 · 16/12/2014 16:58

No, I was thinking the same. I hope she is alright, no news is good news.

VirtualSantaHat · 16/12/2014 16:58

EPU organised a scan on Thursday by phone "but only if you have stopped bleeding" so am holed up at home with DH who is looking after me.

Still bleeding, like first day of AF, so not holding out much hope.

Pipbin · 16/12/2014 17:03

Oh no Virtual Thursday is forever away.
Have you had any scans already?

Overtiredbackagain · 16/12/2014 17:11

Fx for you Virtual. Take care of yourself xx

broodylicious · 16/12/2014 17:12

virtual, I'm keeping everything crossed for you. Must be horrendous to have to wait like this. You're in my prayers hun xx

Hi twinky, pleased all is ok after what must have been a worrying wait re ectopic concerns. Hopefully, you'll have a drama free 32 weeks nowThanks

Fleurchamp · 16/12/2014 17:51

Oh virtual I am so sorry. It's a crying shame you have to wait 2 days, is there nothing they can do to fit you in earlier?

Fx that it's nothing and you will have a positive scan on Thursday xx

JoY007 · 16/12/2014 19:49

So sorry virtual what a shame, can you not do a pregnancy test at least that will show that you are still producing hcg, and provide some reassurance? Hang in there love, it will be all ok. Apparently bleeding is common in early pregnancy. Thinking of you, fx. xxx

Number3cometome · 16/12/2014 19:54

virtual I think that's disgraceful! I think I would be tempted to take myself to A&E and get a scan done :( poor thing xx

DustOffYourHighestHopes · 16/12/2014 19:55

Virtual, just to say, thinking about you. Lots of us have been there. Glad DH is there. Not fair that you have to stop bleeding before they scan, my local hospital did it that day in the emergency gynaecological unit. If you feel strongly about it, you can push. But may be better to just be at home with home comforts around you.
