Congratulations babie Grin

TinyTear · 02/01/2015 08:42

Ah saw that one but mentioned being a teacher but our little was a nanny and quit work, so don't think it was her...

Hope she is just hanging in there...

I too hope Little is doing ok.

LondonSuperTrooper · 02/01/2015 16:40

Congratulations Babie, what a lovely way to start the new year.

I too hope that Little is OK. It's a shame that we don't have her contact details.

I have found a reason for not feeling Bunny's movements - apparently my placenta is in the way! Apparently it's right across my tummy. Doctor said to go to local maternity ward if I can't feel any movements though Confused

2 more days till V Day!!

Only one day now London :)

Babie congratulations! That's fab.

Just back from last minute break in Copenhagen. NYE fireworks nice but a bit too much walking, stomach got quite uncomfortable & worried until twigged it was just elastic rubbing my empire line from ill-fitting maternity jeans! - I think. Trouble is other ones I got with wide low elastic waist fall down/show a gap unless wear a vv long top... Definitely time to get a maternity coat though.
Don't know if my placenta has moved from anterior/low but feeling movements pretty often now, though still don't know how much should expect. Must improve diet i.e. cut out the chocolates though. Gained 6kg/13lb doubtless mostly Ferrero Rocher/maltesers and fear that's too much for now.

I know they're not exactly hip toucan but have you tried braces with the wide low waisted jeans - I did that last time round and got a bit of extra wear out of a few things. I put them under my top so no-one else could see them!

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 03/01/2015 13:56

My bump has exploded and feels so heavy, im waddling when i walk and no matter how hard i try not to i cant help it. Also finding its touching the steering wheel whilst driving even though the seats back as far as i can have it.

So not looking forward to going back to work on Monday being off this week has made a huge difference to how tired and sore ive felt, but at least its only 5 weeks to Mat leave and im refusing to do any extra days so only have 15 days left to work.

Ive started packing my hospital bag even though im aiming for a home birth and just started jotting things down for my birth plan (i do know a birth plan probably wont be followed but i like to plan it keeps me calm)

Ive found under bump trousers so much more comfortable than over bump (i usually end up rolling them under anyway) and less likely to roll down.

I am a fan of over bump... Even bought over bump pants Grin

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 03/01/2015 15:38

At first i liked over bump but the bigger i get the more restrictive i find it, that said id rather not wear clothes at all, i am not wearing anything but my pj's when im on mat leave Wink

Shetland · 03/01/2015 17:11

I prefer over bump stuff, I find the under bump stuff digs in and is uncomfortable, especially when I'm sitting down.

TinyTear · 03/01/2015 17:42

Under bump digs into my section scar.

Another fan of over the bump especially in this weather. (With dd she was born end of July and over the bump made me a bit hot.)

Smiling - liking the staying in pyjamas idea! Last mat leave I was mentally busy for all 4 days of it and this time I am determined to spend much more time doing nothing. Not long now till you finish! I have 43 days left at work which seems like ages and at the same time seems like nothing at all when they still haven't posted my job to get maternity cover.

I am just on my exercise bike. Been really good over Xmas at exercising and really noticed an improvement in my fitness and how I feel. Now got to keep it up for as long as I can now I am back at work. Also managing to finally enjoy my last ever pregnancy which I was not sure I ever would. It helps that the little guy is so much more active than dd was so I don't have to panic as much and the doppler has not been used much at all.

TinyTear · 03/01/2015 19:48

Woohoo been tidying and found my maternity skirts and trousers from last time!!! I was down to only 3 pairs, one of which jeans which I can't wear for work... Don't need to buy more :-)

OP posts:
smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 03/01/2015 21:02

Ive got 2 pairs of maternity trousers, 2 long skirts, 3 pairs of jogging bottoms and 4 pj's that fit, luckily my normal tops are all floaty types which have adapted well to the bump.

Im hoping i dont need to buy anything else, the trousers should see me through till i finish work then i can live in jogging bottoms and pj's. I had planned on buying maternity jeans but havent got round to it and am now hoping that i can avoid paying out, it seems a little bit pointless since i only have 11 weeks to go.

Yay London! Amazing to get there, isn't it?

I'm an over bump person, and am living with 2 pairs of leggings, some joggers, and a pair of stretchy trousers. I have a ton of stretchy dresses and tops. All my late pgs have been in the winter, so I like the extra bit of warmth.

I bought maternity jeans when I was pg last time, but my thighs got too big within seconds, and I hated feeling restricted.

Still having complete panics, my latest was this morning when I hadn't felt any movement for a while. I hate it because I instantly think its all going to go wrong, and the hyper-vigilance is exhausting. Of course some tea and cake and giving the bump a nudge have got it moving again.

Have started thinking through a couple of things in prep for birth, so a hospital bag might be forming, gradually. Need to be a bit less fatalistic...

Yayyyyy london a great milestone to reach Grin

tanny im with you on the panics and it really is exhausting, id love to be able to just relax and enjoy pregnancy.

Hello ladies, ive been reading but not really had much to say, great news on v day London.

Sounds like everyone has had a great Christmas and new year, we had a nice low key affair, although I wasn't to well Xmas night and ended up throwing up everywhere, not sure why and felt pants for boxing day but fine since. This little man seems to have a day of being really quite active and then a couple of quieter days. Just when you think he's got a bit more of a reliable pattern I find myself laying down poking and prodding to get a bit of movement again.

Clotheswise over the bump is beginning to be less comfortable, and my favourite pair of stretchy jeans has gone in the bin due to a big split when putting the tree away :-( have ordered another pair but I really wanted the same again and they are out of stock. Am thinking I'm going to sell a few bits I'm not wearing that often on eBay, then if I need to buy anything else I won't feel so bad about spending the money.

V day for me tomorrow Tiny but I'd rather bubs kept cooking for a while longer please!

TinyTear · 04/01/2015 11:29

Yes... V-day is good but let's hope we all reach 37...

Put my over bump jeans in the wash so wearing the under bump from last time... So uncomfortable, bah! Will just save them for wash days...

I love my over bump leggings and trousers from h&m and found one more pair from last time... 3 should be enough for work as not sure I want to use the under bump things...
