Beany seems to have settled into some kind of routine, hes really active in the morning then quiet all afternoon then active from 9pm till 11pm then again from 4.30am till 6am.

Not being at work is so much easier im able to go back to sleep at 6 and get a good few hours sleep which means im not as tired.

Toucan, I'm thinking of getting the style of Doppler that midwife uses. I'm still hesitating on whether to buy it. We spent a small fortune yesterday buying furniture for the living & dining room.

Tanny, well done to making it to 30 weeks! That's absolutely fantastic :)

Smiling, so pleased that you are getting lots of rest.

I'm still on bedrest & hoping that Bunny hangs on to the magical 24 weeks. Yesterday's excursion to the shops wore me out.

 Hello everyone!

Hope you all had good Christmas's. Mine was good but feel incredibly fat and surprisingly tired considering I have done nothing but drink.

Tanny - well done on 30 weeks.

Jet pack - glad all was well. I have found with this pregnancy ds is moving alot throughout the day. Whereas dd would have busy days and then days with very little movement. (She used to really panic me hence the doppler.)

Tiny - enjoy Portugal.Â

Little - how are you?,

We are currently potty training dd and stuck in the house . Thought if we don't do it now we will have to wait till the summer when she will be almost 3. She is fairly good with using the potty but needs to go every 10 minutes. Only 4 hours in but already fed up of it. Â

24+1!!!

StuntNun · 27/12/2014 17:17

My bump has definitely popped over Christmas, I look properly pregnant now rather than just fat.

LIG1979 · 27/12/2014 17:20

realised I didn't drink anything - just ate whilst others drink. can only drink so much juice!

Toucanet · 28/12/2014 23:53

That's lovely Stuntnun. If/when my bump looks neat would be happy to show it but still just looks like general fat/overconsumption. And tbh though only had a few sips of DH's wine have scoffed too much chocolate! Will see if colleagues notice bump or just see fatness & put it down to Christmas greed.

London just one week till v-day for you then, excellent. Doppler-wise sounds like you are considering a quality one? My mw was disparaging about internet ones so I'd be embarrassed to ask her to show me if get a cheap one - must pay attention to what she has though presume >£20! Do see her on 8th.

Tanny & LIG congrats on your milestones.
24 today here too :)

(and chosen a girl's first name! Not in top 100 - though current boy fave is in top 10, finding it harder to choose for a boy. Perhaps should open that envelope)...

TinyTear · 29/12/2014 08:37

Just one more day here. Can't wait to go back home...
I think a week is my limit near my parents ;-)

toucan weve chosen beanys name, I discounted it several times because it has a connection that everyone will point out but when they told us he was a boy I just knew it was hes name Smile

tiny after 48hrs my mum and I would be killing each other, I love her dearly but a week together would seriously not be a good idea Wink

there's no mistaking my bump anymore i look very pregnant, its hard to believe ive got 12 weeks to get bigger I dont think ill fit through the door Grin

At least I am not in the house. In the evenings we go to my sisters flat that is empty...main issue is my dad...not my mum... Sigh

awww all these "just popped" bumps, I look like I'm about to bloody pop myself! HUGE!

LIG1979 · 29/12/2014 21:36

Another huge one. Looking at photos I was about the same size at 30+ weeks last time as I currently am at 24 weeks. No risk of growth scans for a small bump this time!

My dd fed a friends 6 month old playdoh earlier.....not sure I am ready for 2 dcs yet.

Had my 24 week appointment with the dr. My normal dr was away so I saw another one. She was awful. She didn't do anything in my notes. When doing the babies heartbeat she first of all found my pulse and didn't seem to think to keep looking for the babies. had to tell her it was my pulse. She said she knew and then looked for the babies pulse. She also took my pee pot. It was a complete waste of time!! Luckily this time my midwife is really good (last time i saw different ones each time and most were useless) and I have seen her twice now and I won't need to see this dr again.

StuntNun · 30/12/2014 08:11

I have put on 16 lb! No wonder my bump popped!

Shetland · 30/12/2014 10:53

I am definitely smaller than I was at the same stage with DD2. I've put on 8lbs, I'd put on a stone by this time last pregnancy. I do have some spectacular love handles though :(

Happy new year ladies!!

LIG1979 · 01/01/2015 08:41

Morning all and happy new year! Hopefully 2015 is the year we all take home healthy happy babies. (Little still thinking of you and hoping if he/she has been born she is holding on.)
Very impressed with the weight gains. I am already 20 lb up but had a similar weight gain with dd so continuously trying to reassure myself it is just what my body needs to do. My weight gain is now less than a lb a week after gaining 12 lbs by 12 weeks. This time my bump is much bigger and feel like less has gone to my thighs and bum.

My last day of holiday before work today. Dh worked till 4 am so is sleeping and dd is in her first week without nappies so not sure what to do. Thinking of things to do that are open and good for toilet access.

Happy new year!

TeaandHobnobs · 01/01/2015 10:05

Hi everyone. Wondering if I can join you at the start of a new year? I recognise a couple of names from the "pregnant after miscarriage" thread, which I fell off a while back (hi Tannyloo Smile). Could really do with some friendly faces to talk to!

I'm now 29+6, due mid March - had mmc in Feb 2014, and DS was born at 31+5 in April 2012, so after getting over the mega mc anxiety, I'm now in a phase of watching for any signs of prem labour! I've passed the point where I went into hospital with DS.

Hope you are all having a relaxing NYD! Xmas Smile

tannyLoo · 01/01/2015 10:32

Hi tea, lovely to see you, and I get what you mean about going from MC anxiety to Prem labour anxiety! I woke up with period pains and have had some delightful pains in my fanjo over the last couple of days, and have had some mild panic about those. Not panicked enough to pack a bag, yet...

Happy New Year everyone. We only stayed up past midnight to let the cat out once the fireworks were finished...

Little still thinking of you x

Aww, congratulations baby!

What was the aibu thread she was on?

LIG1979 · 01/01/2015 19:21

Welcome tea. Another one worried about premature birth now. Not sure why as dd didn't come till 38 weeks but even with her I worried about her coming early and every day was a bonus. I don't think I will make it to 40 weeks this time either. Although also don't want to go overdue...

Good sleeping tiny.

how is little? is she ok? odd she would post and name change without telling us.

Babiecakes - congratulation. was it a big surprise? are you going to do it quickly or wait until after the baby comes?

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 01/01/2015 19:21

Congratulations baby

We went out with friends and made it to midnight but I've paid for it today I've been really tired and struggled to do anything.

I've got my glucose test tomorrow then midwife and scan on Wednesday.
