Here are a couple of bump shots. The pink hand is dd getting excited and wanting to touch it. It is definitely a boy bump as it looks like a ball under my top whereas dd was spread all around my top (and much more on my thighs and bum). Quite happy with it at this size but quite scared there are 13 weeks more to grow!

LIG1979 · 17/01/2015 08:15

I took it at ~27 weeks as that is 2/3 of 40 and 3 months to go.

I took it from 27 weeks too, welcome to the 3rd trimester tiny Grin

MIL is still being a pain but no more talk of selling.

tannyLoo · 17/01/2015 12:05

Thank you for all your kind wishes. Am trying to get back a bit of normality today, but missing the physical presence of Minnie a lot this morning. For me, a home needs a cat, and feels empty without one. Sad

Tiny we've been on this road together for so long that it makes me feel all emotional to welcome you to the third tri. Well done lovely. Grin

Smiling pleased to hear your mil is calming down. Last bloody thing you need...

Babie hope you are ok following your tough week too. Thinking of you and your baby, hope it keeps cooking a while longer!

Cat welcome, lovely to see you here. I have special dispensation too, as I am due in March...

Am going to work on some prep for the baby this weekend, in the hope that a bit of positivity will banish some doom and gloom..

33+4 and two weeks to mat leave...

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 17/01/2015 12:40

My washing machine is currently full of baby vests tanny I'm concentrating on getting everything done so that my maternity leave is just about resting plus because of the diarrhoea and some cramping I had to have a scan this morning and my cervix is starting to shorten so there's a chance beanie might make an early appearance so I want to get ready just incase. 3 weeks till mat leave for me although I feel a lot better knowing there is someone ready to step into my shoes so If need be I can go off earlier or shorten my hours a bit and she can cover. I'm aiming to get through the next 3 weeks though.

31+6

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 17/01/2015 12:41

30+6 not 31 quite yet

LittleBairn · 17/01/2015 15:27

smilng did they tell what lenght you funnelled too?

LIG when it comes to bed rest its very much psychological. My first few weeks on bedrest at home were tough I just wanted to be outside and would get frustrated at just not being able to nip around to the shops myself.
In fact I haven't been anywhere by myself in 3.5 months!
But by the time I was on bedrest in hospital it didn't even occure to me to get up my dr was astounded I managed to go 3 weeks at one point without leaving my tiny hospital room. I suspect I might be lazy. Grin

babies if you do get sore, quite likely I'm afraid, then a physio should be able to come to you to help. As a an inpatient you are usually given priority.
Ask for lots of pillows too I was only given 3 to begin with then physio got me another two to help support bump and back it really helped.

I'm doing fine, I was violently sick last night and my stitch held up well so I'm quite pleased. And lets just say prefolds work as well for adults as they do for babies. Blush

LittleBairn · 17/01/2015 15:40

LIG you have a lovely bump very neat looking.

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 17/01/2015 18:34

I don't think they did little

They weren't to concerned and because of my bicornuate uterus premature labour has always been a possibility so I'm back to weekly scans and have been advised to rest as much as possible although bed rest isn't needed yet.

LittleBairn · 17/01/2015 18:38

smiling glad they are keeping a close eye on you. I'm having weekly scan too its always nice to see the baby but I dread the transvaginal even after all these months I still hate it.

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 17/01/2015 20:20

Me to little I get all shakey before hand, I just go back to the day we were told I'd miscarried.

I'm fine with ultrasound scans oddly they don't freak me out.

LittleBairn · 17/01/2015 21:09

smiling it's reassuring to know that others react like this too to transvaginal even after lots of them I was starting to think I was being a drama queen. I get so snappy with DH beforehand luckily he just takes it in his stride, I think he's just glad not to be the one being probed.

There is one thing I hate as much as the transvaginal scans, the progesterone pessaries and I need to take two of them every night.

LittleBairn · 18/01/2015 00:03

We made it 27 weeks!

TamsinInBed · 18/01/2015 03:56

Hi everyone, I've been lurking on this thread for a while and I just wanted to say congratulations Little! So pleased you got to 27 weeks, I'm rooting for you all the way!

I am in a v similar boat to you, had emergency stitch at 20 weeks and then positive fFn at 23. So had steroid shots and now cervix is shortening each week but am 26+1 today and holding on.

I've read loads of stories with positive outcomes of people who funneled all the way to the stitch and held on for weeks and weeks so there's plenty of hope for us. If you haven't been on it the site keepemcooking has lots of these stories.

LittleBairn · 18/01/2015 05:08

Tamsin we really are having a similar pregnancy!
thank you so much for the keep cooking website I hadn't come
across it and it looks like a great resource.
So glad to hear being right down to the stitch its that uncommon.

I haven't had the fFN test yet we talked about it last week but I had just had a transvaginal scan so it wasn't reccomended. DH feels we should insist its done before the scan at our next appointment.

I can't currently sleep achy lower back and hips but I have PGP so not unusual for me. But every so often I feel like I need a poo.
I don't know if I am under r over reacting but I am taking a wait and see approach I don't want to risk the drive to hospital for nothing.

TinyTear · 18/01/2015 07:52

Yay for 27w Little !!

dancestomyowntune · 18/01/2015 08:27

Dh has been brilliant this weekend. Morrison's have a baby event on and he has bought loads of stuff for me. Baby baths/shampoo/clothing/ even a rattle that delivery2 is going to wrap up to give to the baby when she is here. He's even got up early this morning to take the kids to a dance rehearsal because I had a bad night and brought me up a cup of tea! It's at times like these I realise why I love him so much!

So today I am 28+1 and have scan, consultant and nephrology appointment all on Wednesday. Looking forward to seeing our baby girl but nervous about what the consultants will have to say!

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 18/01/2015 08:38

Congratulations on 27w little

Your definitely not being a drama queen, they are forever associated with bad news to me. The doctor who does them is so lovely that it makes it slightly easier, she does an ultrasound first so that I can see beanie is ok then gives me a picture of him to look at whilst doing the transvaginal scan.

Awful night here, have had hardly any sleep because of DP snoring, I've been a bit crampy and beanie slept through the night which freaked me out, at 5 am just as I was about to call the hospital he kicked DP awake and hasn't stopped kicking and wriggling since Smile.

Pregnancy has turned me into a neurotic nutcase Confused

LittleBairn · 18/01/2015 09:50

dance I hope all goes well with the Drs.

smiling I haven't had much sleep due to feeling sore hips & back worrying labour might kick off but I think it was just PGP pain. And DD went quiet too at one point she usually a night/early morning kicker but like you as soon as I started to think I should call she kicks away.
I think she's just trying to remind me who is the boss...

Shetland · 18/01/2015 09:56

Yay for 27 weeks little :)

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 18/01/2015 10:34

No doubting who's the boss here, we eat what he wants, sleep when he wants to and worry about him constantly! Welcome to parenthood Grin

31 weeks today

LittleBairn · 18/01/2015 11:16

Thank you everyone it really is a milestone, from 27 weeks with steroids the survival rate is 95% I love those odds. For the first time this pregnancy I really believe I will be bringing my baby home from hospital one day.
I haven't felt this sure since loosing DS 2 years ago.
