Peace/Lucy, I have my 40w appointment tomorrow (today now, damn you insomnia). At last appt mw said swept at 41 exactly - so lovely home visit on the weekend to stick two fingers up me in comfort of own home, can't wait, then induction at 42 weeks. Have also heard that your exact induction date will depend on how busy hospital is / when Christmas falls though.

Hurry up baby. Nervous now.

Well I ended up falling asleep on the sofa at about 4am and am freezing now.

Feeling very strange today :( baby feels very heavy and vag feels uncomfortable. Having stronger pains now but still refusing to let myself get excited!

Nothing happening here. Though I had a dream my waters broke and came out through my belly button!

DS is ill though so would like baby to hold off today at least.

Our car seat arrived today, so just got to get tomorrow night out of the way and then I am ready to accept delivery of this child!

Haha I can confirm this morning's internal was awful.

Not sure if I'll have a baby today. Being examined again at 2 to see if I'm any further dilated then to discuss next steps (ie. induction). Was 2cm this morning. It would be nice to have it today if only because the thought of hospital food for too long is awful (just forced lunch down)! Will keep you updated.

Lucy don't give up. I've been feeling bruised down below since Thursday, loads of pressure and v uncomfortable to move around. And the cramps is all I've had bar a few contractions in bath this morning. Might be happening slowly for you - keep an eye on it. Is baby still moving?

Sweep at 41 weeks here, which for me would be 2nd Jan...really don't want to get to that point, seems so far away.

When I saw mw last week she said she'd be very surprised to see me then as baby was fairly well engaged. Keeping fingers (but not legs!) crossed that this one comes early like its brothers.

Yes espa she is still moving but feels very low down.
Just ventured to asda for some picnic food and ive barricaded myself in bed for the rest of the day! Still having pains but i think it must be more braxton hicks ??

I am only having one child. Still only 2cm despite constant cramps and increasingly regular contractions. I am a total wimp too and keep bursting into tears, and cos I'm so uncomfortable they won't induce me at the moment.

Evening all. Think something might be starting to happen. Have period pains and what might have been the start of a show earlier. Having spent all evening whining to dp that I wanted the baby to arrive Right Now and that he wasn't to talk to her as she was being naughty for not coming on her due date (?!), I am now nervous and sort of hoping it's a false alarm.

I'm starting to wonder if this constant, never-ending urge to wee might be an infection. It doesn't hurt at all, but it doesn't seem to be a symptom anyone else is suffering from. It's not incontinence because I'm not going uncontrollably. I mean I get up from the toilet and I feel the urge to go again straight away, even though there's nothing there. It's making my life an absolute bloody misery at the moment. I had presumed it was the baby on my bladder, but I can't put up with it for much longer. I can barely leave the house, which means I'm dreading and feeling really anxious about going to London tonight when it's something I want to feel excited for. I'm going to buy some uber Tena Lady (don't trust the mini ones I'm currently using!) and try not to drink too much :(
Seeing the midwife at lunchtime, so will ask her what she thinks. Blaaaah. Thanks for listening to my moan!

peace I felt like that last few.weeks of my pregnancy. was baby on my bladder. went as sokm as she was born. so did the cough-leak thing.

Oh god the last few weeks? I can't bear it! So happy to hear it disappears, though!

Ffs been sent up the hospital again because +++protein and a trace of blood in my urine. WHY TODAY?!
