I actually can't think of anything less appealing right now!Grin

espa · 06/12/2014 23:52

Not helped by the fact DH disappeared when I started to watch strictly to start PAINTING! At 8.30pm! Ffs. Shouldn't complain really, least it's getting done!

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 07/12/2014 01:49

Swollen vagina is normal... like your bits gearing up for for labour. Doesn't last beyond birth am happy to report!

CatFaceCrayola · 07/12/2014 02:38

Due date has arrived. Was totally convinced there'd be a baby here by now :(
But no signs of action. None. Going to beg and plead for some sweep action at mw on Wednesday.
Have had cramps this evening but no tightening. Turns out I just needed (yet another) big poo :(

Feeling grumpy and disheartened

Chips1999 · 07/12/2014 08:26

Just place marking, will catch up later!

monkeybaby2 · 07/12/2014 09:12

I had to beg for a shag too, he took some convincing. Can't imagine why he wasn't anxious to pounce on a giant, grumpy, purple tiger striped manatee, who is constantly regaling him with tales of constipation, vag snot, flatulence and vag trying to convert from innie to outie.

It's a mystery.

mythical · 07/12/2014 09:18

41+2..

I'm going to be pregnant for ever

dramatic sigh.....

Lucy90 · 07/12/2014 10:33

I still cant believe i could be pregnant until NYD Confused

mythical · 07/12/2014 10:38

DH pointed out that if i go 2 weeks overdue he gets Christmas off on paternity leave. Cheers then

StetsonsAreCool · 07/12/2014 11:00

Engels - nooooo!!!! You definitely need the baby to stay in just a little bit more Smile

Lucy, me too. Depressing really. Personally I think I'll be early 20s for giving birth, home by Christmas Day. Or else I'll be having a Christmas Day baby in the paper Xmas Wink

Ooh, festive smilies on the mobile site!

In other gross news, it seems I have burst a pile. Nasty shock when I went to the loo this morning. Bet there's nothing I can do for that is there? Humph.

Hope some of you get babies today Xmas Smile

Lucy90 · 07/12/2014 11:24

Im hoping for the baby to come sometime next week, i want her home and settled for xmas!

carlene1987 · 07/12/2014 11:42

I really feel for those who have gone over their due date. I'm 3 days away from my EDD (actually 2.5 days now!) and fed up so Lord knows how you must be feeling. Here's hoping the comfy babies make their way to meet you soon.
I've been getting tightenings, pains and losing my glam mucus plug gradually for the last week and am sick of guessing if things are happening or not. I've reserved myself to just being grumpy and waiting. My MW said that I can choose to be induced from 41 weeks (depending on how busy the hospital is). I think I'll be begging asking for 41+1 Wink

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 07/12/2014 11:48

I've still got three weeks until my EDD and I could technically be pregnant until mid January! DO NOT WANT!
Although I have always had a feeling that the baby would come in the first week of January.

There's a weird smell in the house and I'm blaming the Christmas tree...

Lucy90 · 07/12/2014 12:39

Peace i love the smell of christmas tree!!
Ive just told OH that he has to have sex with me today atleast once to get this baby out! Im also drinking raspberry tea an bouncing on my ball

Just having a meltdown. Sad

DH and I have done nothing together this weekend (he was off Fri too). Had plans to do something this pm that deep down I knew wouldn't happen. Sure enough, finishes painting at 2pm, we have lunch and now he's washing cars. Personally think this is pointless as there's salt on the roads and they get filthy straight away, but just feeling so frustrated that he doesn't see I might like to do something. Esp as I requested this last week... Sad as I go through all week with his fairly long days at work I really look forward to the weekends. Sad He did pick up I was sad earlier but I don't see point in explaining why as I hate the feeling of forcing him to do something. So instead I'm having a big cry on the bed since he'll be guaranteed to be outside for the next 2 hours...

Lucy90 · 07/12/2014 15:54

Sorry to hear youre having a rubbish time espa :(

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 07/12/2014 16:00

Awww Espa! These last few baby-free weekends seem really precious, don't they? I'm looking at the calendar thinking, well we'd better do x this weekend as we won't get a chance after Christmas etc, and it feels like your alone time together is slipping away. So it's extra insulting when they're clearly not on the same page and don't want to spend every spare second with you!! My DH is working through some online lectures which will enable him to progress at work, which is a great thing for him and our family, but all I want right now is cuddles!

Buggering hell, I just got home and thought all I had to do was wash up and make dinner, but I forgot I need to try to find my maternity eligibility certificate thingy for the dentist tomorrow Confused I haven't seen it since before we moved house!

mythical · 07/12/2014 16:22

not good news! baby is engaged in the wrong postion so i need to re-engage her in the right position :( feeling quite disheartened

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 07/12/2014 16:27

Oh no mythical, what is the wrong position?! Back to back?

OP posts:
mythical · 07/12/2014 16:38

no! she is asynclitic: here's what i found on it - baby is head-down and probably anterior but the head is slightly tilted to one side or 'off' in some way so that the head does not move down into the pelvis smoothly. Usually the side of the head or 'parietal' bones present first instead of the crown of the head, making the diameter much larger.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 07/12/2014 17:28

Oh lordy that sounds like it has potential to be sore. Get bouncing, girl!

OP posts:
StetsonsAreCool · 07/12/2014 17:39

It really does sound like it could be sore... There's still time for the baby to re-engage in a better position though, so hopefully it will do that

Roonerspism · 07/12/2014 18:49

My first did that. She turned during labour!

What did MW say?

mythical · 07/12/2014 18:57

She said I need to do some exercises to help her disengage and engage correctly. I have spoken to my friend who is an active birthing teacher and she gave me a few tips. Until them I have another appt at term+13 and possibly sweep (I have refused induction) then daily monitoring until she arrives or until I decide to be induced.
