Hello.

I lurked for the whole 9 months but rarely posted. Just had my baby boy this morning. Feeling knackered but elated. Good birth after traumatic first. Happy days :)

Second sample was just as bad as the first, bloods been sent off to the lab and was strapped to a monitor while we waited for the results. Still waiting.
Incredible timing.

I feel like I've let down my friend whose ticket I have. She's being really understanding but still :(

You cant help it honey. Yours and babies health more important! Whens your due date again?

Lucy90 · 16/12/2014 15:35

Im sure your friend will completely understand, as bhls said you and baby have to come first

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 16/12/2014 15:56

27/12. Apparently bloods look fine but they're getting a consultant to come and talk to us. I think if it really was all fine they'd have let us go :/ sort of resigned to not going now.

Lulz so basically they don't know why I've got so much protein in my urine because my BP is fine, therefore it's not PE. I have to go back in two days to have it checked again. They gave me a sweep and I was already dilated enough for her to get two fingers in and all the way around Shock

Woo Hoo! Might not be long now and we get to see Peace Baby! Grin Grin Grin Grin

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 16/12/2014 17:58

Exciting news peace and Lucy!

My beautiful baby girl was born this morning after an emcs. She's 8lbs but in neonatal as both she and I were quite unwell last night. I only just got to see her about half 5 tonight, and had the most amazing skin to skin. I'm so in love although as she was taken away so quickly feel a bit sad about that.

I'll tell more about the horrors of labour in due course. Good luck to those waiting!

CatFaceCrayola · 16/12/2014 23:08

Congratulations espa, looking forward to hearing more. :)

I'm still epically fed up. 41+3 mw appointment tomorrow where hopefully a more successful sweep will occur (couldn't be any less successful than last weeks fail!) and plans will be formed for induction. Last week mw said induction would likely be Thursday or Friday.

Not that i want induction at all, but i just can't handle being pregnant and playing this waiting game anymore. Here's hoping for a plan of action though

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 17/12/2014 02:52

I'm having a dilemma.

Reasons it would be good if the sweep works:

  • avoid christmas birthday
  • DH will have a whole four weeks at home with us from Saturday
  • I won't be pregnant anymore Grin

Reasons it would be less good:

  • I have nice things planned for Sunday and Monday that I'd really like to do!
  • the house is a tip
  • I'm scared!

Had constant bad cramps since the "event" and some watery, bloody discharge just now (probably looks worse because I'd been lying down). I told DH to go to work tomorrow (Wednesday) because it was so unlikely to have worked, but I'm not so sure now.

Oh dear. I should have left well alone.

Not much to report here, pains started spreading round my lower back and are becoming more frequent and intense but not enough to phone birthing unit :(

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 17/12/2014 05:00

Mine are bloody intense, between 3-6 minutes apart, about 45 seconds long. I phoned my mum and she said not to call the hospital until I can't bear it anymore :/
