mythical · 11/12/2014 09:56

can i please be added to the FB page? I use it more often than MN these days

CatFaceCrayola · 11/12/2014 11:07

I'm sure a fb admin will be along soon to add you mythical.

I will miss the bump and the jiggling. Praying I'll be able to walk/move/bend after she's born.

I've really disliked pregnancy, but as an only child I've always said i want more than one child. Now I'm not so sure

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 11/12/2014 11:23

Same Catface. I had two siblings but wanted lots of children. Now I'm thinking two at a push, and I'm going to need a lot of bribery!

The second will be easier than the first Cat. it has to be...

Nope still hasn't sunk in that I'm going to be a mother. I'm the one who needs mothering most of the time!

I tell you what, though. This experience has made me realise that I am a whole lot more mature than I thought I was. I got pregnant accidentally when I was 20 and had a termination. This has cemented the fact that I could never, ever have coped with a pregnancy or a baby at that time in my life. I was still so, so unwell for another seven years after that, and the thought of having to drag a child through all that shit is horrifying. I'm so glad I waited until I was stable. I'm the wellest I've ever been in my life, but I'm still very freaked out!

Had a coffee date with NCT ladies today. I feel a lot more comfortable in their company now that the classes have finished, weirdly.

Silver I kind of felt that this morning... My tummy was a different shape than normal (think he/she has dropped), a bit flatter and lower. Sort of how I used to look after a big meal! I wondered if I'd imagined the whole thing!

figginz · 11/12/2014 17:30

Peace, Silver, yy I feel like that sometimes. If I'm feeling good and pottering around the house I forget I'm pg. Then I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror and am completely shocked at my body Shock Smile

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 11/12/2014 18:37

I keep doing that now I've had her. No bump, no pain, feel normal. Sometimes forget I have a baby until I catch sight of the moses basket!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 11/12/2014 18:52

I felt really dizzy and faint at lunchtime, and ever since I've been having cramps and had pressure in the back. Now I feel sick and can't eat. Feel like I might throw up. Is this iiiiiit? I suspect I've just overdone it today and am tired from not sleeping last night. Hnngh. Torn between wanting to get it over with and wanting to hold on until I've been to the see the Manics on Tuesday!

I feel like I'm having contractions in my head Confused cannot explain it! Have scared DH sufficiently that he has finally ordered the car seat, though.

CatFaceCrayola · 11/12/2014 22:31

Oh no Peace, you've just reminded me that i could totally be at the Manics tonight. Woe is me! :(

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 11/12/2014 22:37

Ohh I'm sorry! I am excited but vvv nervous. Need to consider toilet needs quite seriously. Possibly an adult nappy type affair could be employed?

Here's hoping it's the start of something for you Peace and Silver and huge congratulations Mythical - she's lovely.
I've had BH all day accompanied by back ache and cramping. Not getting my hopes up as sick of the stop/start winding me up.
Got my 40 week appt with MW tomorrow where I'll beg for a sweep although I doubt she'll do it. She did say she'd booked a double appt so we could ring the hospital and book induction though. I also dared to make lunch & shopping plans with a friend to tempt fate. Hoping baby comes and spoils them Wink
My Mam has said all along that I'd miss my bump when I'm not pregnant anymore and I've always thought I wouldn't but the thought of not having my baby all to myself is a bit sad now. I'll definitely not miss the back ache and heartburn.
Someone I know who was due the day before me was induced today and I'm shamelessly hating her. Hormones and jealousy! I want my baby out too Sad

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 12/12/2014 02:33

Ffs I'm wide awake (adrenaline?) and I still feel dreadful. Could barely eat anything for lunch and dinner so am now starving. And nothing is bloody happening, except that I feel weird and sick and I have cramps.

Still no signs of labour but my cold appears to have hit its peak. I had no idea a human being could sneeze so much Sad . And, what's worse, that old wife's tale about sneezing lots of times in a row giving you an orgasm is not true. Does not help your pelvic floor either. Blush
