Congratulations workfree, imbrian and ftmk

40+8 here.....getting frustrated now!
Lots of lower back ache and cramps around the front but nothing regular, on and off for days.
Appointment with midwife not until Thursday when she can make appointment for induction so I am waiting waiting Hmm
I have been really active upto this point and made sure I've got out of the house every day but I finally feel like my body has had enough, feeling achy and tired and sicky :-(
Hope everyone had a nice weekend

haventgotaclue1 · 17/11/2014 08:29

Morning. Welcome to the group Vijac Smile

Rubbish night's sleep here....Bean decided to have a hiccupping party just as I went to bed; then had period pains during night but nothing that felt like contractions. No plug loss or anything like that. I know I'm being really impatient (EDD is tomorrow) and there are quite a few of us who are now over our due dates, but I can't help it!!! I REALLY want to see and meet Bean Grin

Sorry for the moan...hope everyone else is doing OK...now to find something to do this morning...

haventgotaclue1 · 17/11/2014 08:30

Petal, isn't feeling icky meant to be a good sign? I thought that was one of the signs that something could be kicking-off?! Really hope so for your sake Grin

Petal26 · 17/11/2014 08:42

I hope so havent Smile At least I know I'm entering my final week either way now....

haventgotaclue1 · 17/11/2014 08:44

Yeah, that's definitely a good thing Petal! I've got my 40 week mw appt on Thursday at 40+3 but she's not going to do a sweep until 41 weeks (said in her experience there's minimal advantage to do this before then for FTMs...)....really hope it doesn't go on for that long!

Sazhoopz · 17/11/2014 08:58

On the way to hospital to get potential waters leak looked at, no twinges or contractions so not hopeful. The traffic is absolutely terrible I really hope that if this doesn't lead to something that when I do go into labour it's not at rush hour!

catg83 · 17/11/2014 09:52

petal- hibernation feels much easier when the weather is like this!

saz- the main reason we picked the hospital we are having the baby at is because the traffic there is never as bad as the city centre hospital.

I have had pelvic girdle pain all the way through my 2nd and 3rd trimester. During the past week the bone at the front of my pelvis, like at the front of my pubic mound, now feels like it is burning from some movement. Rolling over in bed and getting up from sitting is excruciating. I am sure it is just from him baring down but dear Lord it hurts. x

Getyourflipflopson · 17/11/2014 11:29

Losing quite a bit of plug this morning with mild period pains. Had a sweep at the d.a.u yesterday and have got one booked for tomorrow, fingers crossed things keep happening.

catg83 · 17/11/2014 11:47

Very exciting getyourflipflops. Good luck. x

Thisisimpossible · 17/11/2014 11:54

Fingers crossed getyourflipflops and Petal I'm sure that's a good sign!

cat that sounds painful Sad

Welcome Vijac Smile

40+3 and counting...

Sazhoopz · 17/11/2014 12:10

False alarm, just extra discharge. Am feeling deflated and just want to join Petal in hibernation!

This is going to be the longest week ever before induction on Friday

haventgotaclue1 · 17/11/2014 12:26

Arrrgghhh! Bean's having a moving frenzy - not only can I feel feet kicking me just under my ribs, but also feels like burrowing action way down below. ..maybe it's trying to force its way out? !Wink

ladydolly · 17/11/2014 13:11

welcome vijac!

petal are you booked for induction as well? mine's thursday.

Plug finally gone this morning but after 2 sweeps I'm not surprised!

Hibernation is lovely but I found after a few days I got a bit grumpy and down, I'm off for a trip to the garden centre for a cake :)

I am quite enjoying peoples faces when they've asked how long I have to go and I tell them I'm 11 days over...

41+4 and counting!

catg83 · 17/11/2014 13:20

I was at a craft fair yesterday and bought an adorable knitted waistcoat and matching hat. When asked when I was due I told the lady I was actually 3 days over. She said she was surprised I was allowed out the house. Made me laugh. x

ladydolly · 17/11/2014 15:31

catg83 ha!! almost worth going out for!!

Called midwife about 3rd sweep amd she said they only did 2 unless a consultant advised a 3rd. All v.strange since it was the other mw who suggested it. So back to jusy waiting now!

Strawberryfield12 · 17/11/2014 16:15

OMG Cat that's unbelievable! And here is me fussing strangers asking about me duedate and when I reply something like soon, they tell me back "Oh dear, just not here/today etc." meaning from the context "don't you dare to spoil our Xmas fair by going into labour!" Grin

hotfuzzra · 17/11/2014 16:58

Sorry to hear your news Ark Flowers At least she was with her children, that is lovely.
One of my old friends (my first boss from the age of 13-19) died this weekend, he was very old (late 80s) but I feel sad. He was quite a loner, no close family, and I don't imagine he would have had anyone around him at all. So sad.
Reading all you other ladies' news is getting me excited. I'm only 39 weeks and already a bit massively fed up/bored.
I'm ready, I've told baby to come out now. Every twinge is a possible sign (except I know it's not!) and I'm resorting to childish measures ie I plan to go to Ikea tomorrow with my mum (40 miles away) and London later in the week just to try and invoke Sod's Law. Here's hoping. (Hoping I can travel the 3.5 hrs back to hometown for my friend's funeral but I think that might be pushing it.)
Good luck to you ladies already overdue x

Thehedgehogsong · 17/11/2014 17:24

I'm still here and still pregnant!
Apparently I'm in slow labour. Torture more like. Saw the midwife today and baby is still happy. She promises me it will be soon, and all this will mean it's faster and easier when real labour begins I'm so fed up I'm avoiding everyone Sad

pinkgirlythoughts · 17/11/2014 17:27

Well, after being told my waters hadn't broken and I wasn't actually contracting, I was sent home from hospital at 3.30, to then return there at 6am, 3-4cms dilated, and gave birth at 10.21am yesterday to DS2 Grin

amy83firsttimer · 17/11/2014 17:33

Yay Pinkgirly!

Still pregnant here too hedgehogsong - 41 weeks today. Got my "term +10" appt Thursday and life would be so much easier if I'd had this baby by then!

Petal26 · 17/11/2014 17:33

saz I thought you were going to beat me then as I read you were on your way to hospital. You probably will if you're being induced on Friday.
lady I have no appointment for an induction yet, they won't book it until a couple of days before, will be 40+11 when/if I see midwife on Thursday so I presume I won't be booked in until Saturday/Sunday Confused

No hibernation here in the end, told DH if I felt well enough I would go and get a roof box for the car ready for Christmas. Took them an hour and half to fit it, horribly hot shop while we had to wait, didn't feel well enough in the end but there wasn't a lot I could do while they were half way through! Did take DD for a babychino just before which always makes her happy so that least she wasn't grumpy waiting.

Had a blazing row with my mum today, both of us crying Sad
My parents live 150 miles away and we had planned to be there over Christmas. Last week they asked us to put our dog in kennels rather than take him with us (they have a dog themselves, same breed, have never asked the same of them when they visit us) and then when I mentioned roof box today she went a bit mad asking how much stuff we were bringing with us, I don't think she realises we will be a family of four with suitcases and presents (and moses basket and pram etc.) The rest of the year she complains that we don't visit often enough.... Sad

Petal26 · 17/11/2014 17:36

Congratulations pink Grin

Thehedgehogsong · 17/11/2014 17:38

Congratulations Pink!
Petal do you think she's being difficult on purpose?

catg83 · 17/11/2014 17:56

whoop whoop pink. well done!

petal- urgh. That sounds horrible. I am sorry. X

excitedforbaba · 17/11/2014 17:59

Congratulations pink how exciting
does he have a name yet?

ark SOS o sorry to hear about your grandmother, they are always so special to us Flowers

Nothing to report here at all! 2 whoever days over due now! I don't know how u ladies that are 10/11 days over are managing not to kill anyone! My patience are shredded with people ringing and texting! I'm joining some of you in hibernation

Had an appointment this morning for an induction date I'm booked in for Tuesday where I'll be 40+10 not sure how I feel, relieved there is a date insight but apprehensive as I haven't even started dialating for them to perform a sweep Confused
