Terrifying thread on AIBU right now re post natal care.

Hope I'm one of the lucky ones :(

ZylaB · 23/12/2014 15:15

I know gudgyx it's scaring me so much as I know I'll be in for a few days at least!

Gudgyx · 23/12/2014 15:24

Same :( terrified of lying in agony after a c section, my baby crying her eyes out at the side of me and being unable to help her!

M27J5M · 23/12/2014 17:14

Gudgy - T had forceps bruises too, unfortunately with any mode of assisted delivery there's going to be a chance of bruising. It does go quickly though

Hope all of you had a lovely christmas.
My little lovely is 1 tomorrow. I can't Bellevue how quick it's gone!

Ellizardo · 27/12/2014 09:04

Happy Christmas everyone! All good here, happy to be just OH and me after 3 days of relentless socialising with friends and family. More family arrivals tonight until NYD so bracing ourselves! baby on the other hand quite quiet, no doubt wondering what all the commotion is about 'outside'.

Didn't get any baby presents apart from a cute cotton wool ball dispenser. Hope everyone well!
Happy Birthday magic to your little one!

Gudgyx · 27/12/2014 13:47

I got a load of maternity clothes from my mum! Dunno when she thinks I'm going to wear them all considering I now only have 9 weeks left of pregnancy eek!

M27J5M · 27/12/2014 15:32

Hi ladies! Been a bit busy past few days so only just getting a chance to get back on! Hope your all doing well, I've just been into next and got a few wee bargains Smile

littlemissy12345 · 27/12/2014 16:05

Hi everyone. Currently in A&E after a car accident. My chest got crushed by the air bag but I'm sure baby is fine (lots of squirming). Getting fed up now - if there was anything wrong it's a long time to wait. My DD is waiting to see the doc too - she's been a little star but bored too tears now.

Anyway glad everyone has had a lovely Christmas x

theonewiththenoisychild · 27/12/2014 16:08

m33r · 27/12/2014 16:32

Oh my goodness missy so glad you're ok! I bet you got a fright. Flowers

Glad everyone else is well. I got loads of mothercare bargains - mainly big stuff like baby gym, breast bump and steriliser kit etc.

Feel I hve a passed another milestone since I have newly started spending less time in pregnancy threads and more on childbirth! Soon it will be to 'parenting' threads!!!Shock

Happy Christmas everyone Xmas Grin

M27J5M · 27/12/2014 17:02

Glad to hear your ok missy, must've got quite a fright

Gudgyx · 28/12/2014 07:22

Hope you're okay today missy!

Ladies I want to feel proper pregnant now! 30 weeks, 9 weeks on Monday til baby is here, and I don't mean to gloat but I've had none of the bad pregnancy things. No heartburn, no sore back/hips, no insomnia, no swelling, nothing! I'm all bump, have a few stretch marks but that's it. I keep waiting to feel 'properly' pregnant but unless something changes in the next few weeks I don't think I will! This pregnancy has been an absolute breeze, but I feel like a fraud!! If it wasn't for baby's expert river dance I'd think it was all in my head!

M27J5M · 28/12/2014 09:04

Oh gudgy I'd just enjoy that it's been easy, you wouldn't want the heartburn and other symptoms, I've found this pregnancy to a certain extent unenjoyable ( not all of it) because of pain insomnia etc

theonewiththenoisychild · 28/12/2014 10:21

hope you are ok missy i didnt see your post before i posted last. must have been very scary. hope your dd is ok too

m33r · 28/12/2014 14:16

gudgy apart from the odd day's tiredness and occasional very manageable heartburn (and worrying!!) I've also been great. Hoping it keeps up but my back is starting to ache... And my toes seem really far away when having to put in shoes, knickers etc!

Hope you're all loving Christmas! Dh and i in box set / long lie heaven for the last time ever before we have our little guy! Xmas Grin

littlemissy12345 · 28/12/2014 18:55

Thank you for all your messages. I've got a bruised sternum - so most things hurt to do! Coughing is fun too. But at least we are home now, I had a lovely time at my MILs but thought I was going to be stuck there for days more!
