Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 14th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 29th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

I just got my form today at 28 weeks as forgot at 22 weeks. Can you move your 26 week app forward? I thought it was normal to have one around about 24 weeks.

Glad to hear you're home Juni.

Chat that is crazy news, really hope all is well for you.

Had a shitty, busy day today with lots of annoyingly crap news. In baby related stuff, baby is still transverse so I need to get my ball out of the garage. I am borderline anaemic and my platelets are also borderline and she expects they may have fallen since last tested. The iron thing is fine but the platelets caused me problems in labour last time that I really don't want a repeat of. Angry

Congratulations on your news Fatty!

BothersomeB · 27/10/2014 17:52

Hi all,

Hope you don't mind me joining you - have been hanging out on the JS fred for the last few months and got me a BFP on Saturday! Stats:

Age: 40
TTC: since June 2013, MC Oct 2013
Due: July 3

So far still in shock and in a daze at work today - found out on last day of holiday (and first day of missed AF) so had been a bad twotter - spent the week getting pissed in a hot tub chewing on rare steak, basically.

So, having MC paranoia and at the moment not convinced that it'll stick due to age, previous and general bad behaviour.

Haven't told anyone else yet but we're having discussions that go like this: last time we told no-one until the MC, which was then a big shock for our families...would it not be better to tell them all now so that if it all goes wrong they already know, or does that just create more pressure/stress for elderly mothers? What did you guys do?

Thanks for listening!

wilmabedrock · 27/10/2014 18:29

Hi Bother congratulations! I think it depends on what your family are like. If you think you would want their support in event of a mc then no harm telling them. I chose not to tell people and in fact haven't even told my mum that I had a mc, just because I didn't want the pity face. But there's no right or wrong way.

ZylaB · 27/10/2014 18:58

Grats bother and welcome. I told people but that's cos I had to start going to hospital appts immediately and wanted support

Nessalina · 27/10/2014 20:17

Oh that's rubbish Wil Sad Can you take something for the platelet thing?

Welcome Bothersome! Congrats! Smile
First pregnancy we had to terminate for medical reasons at 16 weeks which was pretty tough because EVERYONE knew, so this time we kept it very quiet, pretty much only told the few that we'd tell if things went wrong. So just my two best pals, my mum, and my work colleagues (close team of 4 so no chance of keeping it quiet!). Just do what feels right to you guys Smile

Hello viroids

I'm finally facing it today that I am actually pregnant so would love to join you in the grads fred.

Name: Wiggly
Age: 35
TTC: April 2014 (mc Jul and Aug)
DCs: DS 2.5
BFP: 19th, 20th, 21st and 27th Oct (after two mcs I needed to be sure)
Probably due: 12th Juneish...but conceived in WTF cycle so who knows!

Saw the GP this afternoon who said bloods showed all my hormones are normal so not the cause of mcs. She's said I need to take it easy and not lift anything heavy but could carry on with yoga. First midwife appointment booked!

WigglyBraddins · 27/10/2014 20:36

bother with DS I got upduffed in first cycle, which I didn't think would happen in a million years so I did EVERYTHING wrong in the TWOT (went to a music festival, drank a lot of tepid scrumpy/wine/pimms, ate my own bodyweight in sweaty-tent-stored blue cheese, soft cheese and cured meats etc.) He seems (keeping fingers crossed a lot) to be fine. Try not to think about it because there's nothing you can do about it now and maybe all that is what did the trick with conception Smile

teejayem · 27/10/2014 20:44

Welcome new grads! Yaaaaay!
Grats wiggly and bother

Blessed with AM sickness and then started to feel green at about 4. Had spaghetti hoops on toast and am about to see if my new body shop ginger shampoo will shift my beautiful pregnancy dandruff. Hmm

Whinging tee tonight! Sorry girls, how's everyone else's monday been?

wilmabedrock · 27/10/2014 20:47

Hi Wiggly, congratulations and welcome.

Nothing to be done for the platelets Ness, just have to wait and see and if they drop too low I see a consultant. Gingers crossed it doesn't get to that stage.

Have eaten my bodyweight in chocolate tonight so am going to go to bed in an effort to stop myself.

ZylaB · 27/10/2014 21:31

Grats wiggly and welcome :)

ness take it easy lady!

I got another note today from docs, lost count, that's.... 12 weeks! Shock think at this rate I'll be off until she comes, but if it means I can concentrate on my sugars so she's as healthy as possible then I don't mind as its a good reason!

ZylaB · 27/10/2014 21:32

Meant wil take t easy!

Sorry I'm easily confused atm :)

RPopz · 27/10/2014 21:42

Minion · 28/10/2014 08:03

Hi bother and wiggly
Welcome to the grads and congrats x

Well I think I had my first true Toni B last night. Felt like a non shifting period pain and went when I moved. Sound familiar? Ouch indeed if it was.
I have my first ante natal class this morning, I've been warned it's 2 hours of my life I'll never get a refund for so me nd husband will be playing AN bingo, every time we get someone who knows more thn the nurse, whose done it ll before etc etc we get a point!
Such fun!

Yes pls juni, I loves a good birth story too x

RPopz · 28/10/2014 08:12

Eurgh Min - we had a cracker at ours last night.... Get this... a guy who had to deliver a baby in the Australian outback cos they were 4 hours away from civilisation Hmm We're pretty lucky to have the world authority on childbirth personally attending our antenatal classes Wink

Minion · 28/10/2014 08:21

Did anyone ask if a dingo ate his baby? I don't think I would have been able to hold back.
Snort

FurryScoob · 28/10/2014 09:01

Hello & congratulations to all the newbies!

Were brave juni tell us how it went

Any one seen the robbie Williams video from yesterday? DP will have a lot of broken bones if he attempts anything like that while I'm in labour!

BothersomeB · 28/10/2014 09:21

Thanks for all the welcomes, congrats and advice. Ness - that must have been awful for you...it's one of my many fears - we tell everyone at 12 weeks and then it all goes wrong. Being 'older' it's a pretty real concern and we plan to have all the tests...but am sure I can't keep it a secret until after 20 week scan (can you have the anomaly one any sooner?)! Currently thinking we might tell an 'inner circle' soon, so we have support, wider circle after 12 weeks (families, close friends, work), but keep it off the likes of facebook until after 20 weeks.

Wiggly - loving the sweaty cheese story - thanks, made me feel much better! Mr B jokes that we'll have to name our child 'Hot tub' but I think he's being ridiculous - surely 'Tubbs' would be better? And anyway, I think it actually happened as a result of the 'Great British Bake Off finals night sausage role play' JS ing incident...no coincident that it resulted in a bun in the oven? Anyway, surely this means that name choices are restricted to Paul, Mary, Mel or Sue?

Happy Tuesday!

x

cookielove · 28/10/2014 09:26

min the dingo did eat the baby :(
