Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 14th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 29th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Hahaha Min - I'm with Lauren - trumping in Zara would be faaaaar worse Wink

I'll prob shout at him about it tonight, since my sulking and going to bed early doesn't seem to have had any effect.... Pretty sure we've had the same conversation about 17494930 times before tho.... Hmm

RPopz · 25/10/2014 09:38

Congratulations Rm Smile x

ZylaB · 25/10/2014 10:56

Morning all!

Welcome and congrats rm

Having a day doing bugger all except a little food shop later, it's lovely! And lol min

KatoPotato · 25/10/2014 11:31

Ahhh Tee! I need to make conscious moves to avoid the hot deli section too! I like to eat all the skin of a rotisserie chicken and a bag of ribs!

And yes, I've cried over my parking too!

I nearly shut DH's hand in the bread bin when he questioned 'more crumpets?' As I was unpacking! I have a special fury reserved just for him!

KatoPotato · 25/10/2014 11:31

Lovely to see you here rm! And I hear bothersome had a belter of a line on the frer this morning!!

Nessalina · 25/10/2014 15:57

Ummm this may be a bit ick and woah too much info but I have to ask...
This morning I was wrapping presents before I can't bend over anymore, went to stretch out my neck and leant neck to chest and I could smell milk...
So I asked husband, after checking how embarrassing it would be on the shit scale.
He agreed.
I thought I smelt something bready of sorts last week and dismissed it as but it's gotten stronger.
Completely normal I'd imagine, but can anyone else smell milk on their boobs?
Sorry, but I need to know..

Nessalina · 25/10/2014 16:40

I haven't noticed a smell, but I have found the odd little crusty patch on my PJ top in the nipple zone, so I think they are leaking a little bit. Confused

kato Mr tee had the nerve to start looking at all the things I'd bought while he was at work and because nothing fits in the usual cupboards I have a random frazzles multipack in with the plates and bowls, a couple of packets of choc digestives in with the cups... He asked me if I was hiding food from him!! And then asked if we really needed three packets of said choc digestives (they were on 3 for 2 in my defence) unbelievable.

Welcome & congrats rm!

RPopz · 25/10/2014 17:06

Of COURSE you needed 3... What was he thinking??? Grin Git.

Not noticed anything yet Min but sounds feasible! Milky boobs+ hyper sense of smell....

How're our full termers doing anyway?? Might we have another baby this weekend? Wink

laurenamium · 25/10/2014 17:38

Please can I have cat owners advice! I'm very very close to adopting a 6 month old cat. I have a chihuahua at home who wouldn't bother it so no issues as far as home life and cats. BUT what are the risks of cats when pregnant? How dangerous is cat litter etc? And when I have the baby what are the risks around smothering/ cats and babies? Is it a very bad idea to get a cat now?

ZylaB · 25/10/2014 18:04

lauren cats are fine! We have 3 :) just avoid changing the litter while pg if you can so you don't catch toxoplasmosis (though you're more likely have already had it if you've ever had cats before or are into gardening) and if you have to change the litter, wear gloves and wash hands after and you'll be fine!

Smothering wise, we're planning on either spraying the cats with water when they jump on baby cot or pram etc to teach them not to do it, and also are going to try covering mattresses etc with tin foil before baby is here as cats apparently don't like the noise of it. We're not worried, we just won't leave baby in the room unsupervised with them while she's little :)

I've been converting my study into a playroom! I'm lucky to have a downstairs study which I nabbed when we moved house (always with an eye on it being a playroom at some point) and it has a little sofa, small desk and 2 bookcases attached to the wall. I'm moving my books into a cupboard upstairs as we have no room to put them 'out on display' and have bought loads of different coloured ikea drona storage boxes which 'almost' fit in the bookcase and look fab! Th desk is going to stay for now so we can use it as a changing table, then when we don't use it any more is going into DH's study so he can share, and it'll become a proper playroom!

I know it's way way to early to do it, but I wanted it to look nice, and we figured we can pop any extra baby stuff into the boxes to tidy up. It won't be done fully yet for a couple of days as I'm knackered so not doing too much in one go, but I'll take a piccie when it is as the nursery won't be done for aaaages yet.

ZylaB · 25/10/2014 18:05

Oooh essay! Sorry

RPopz · 25/10/2014 18:48

Cats are pretty low maintenance compared to dogs Lauren - and you've plenty of time to settle them in. Will he be an indoor cat? Otherwise he can poop outside after the first few weeks. We keep ours indoors cos she's old, and DH handles the litter tray. But tbh I've had cats and dogs my entire life so am most likely riddled with toxo already anyway! It's not so easy to train cats re the smothering issue but we just won't leave them alone with the baby at any point. I'm sure it's doable x

RPopz · 25/10/2014 18:48

Zyla we have those boxes!

laurenamium · 25/10/2014 18:50

Thanks Zyla! Think I'm going to go for it Shock Grin A playroom is a good idea. I have my conservatory converted to a playroom for DD and work and I love it! Keeps the rest of the house nice and tidy mostly

laurenamium · 25/10/2014 18:51

Thanks popz! I think it'll be a house cat at the beginning so it doesn't go back to where it was rescued from. Then ill maybe let it out in the day if it wants to. But ill have to research how to do that as i would be gutted if it got lost! I've only ever had dogs and horses so cats are totally new!

KatoPotato · 25/10/2014 19:01

That's super exciting Zyla! Drona boxes are amazing we filled two with changing stuff Muslin cloths and bibs etc when ds was younger and now full of toys! I have plans to add more to a 4x4 expedit unit we have at the other side of the room in May all being well!

splodge77 · 25/10/2014 19:01

hi all, and hello to new Fred, glad to see we've already got into fart and leaky boob conversations! Excellent stuff.

Yey Lauren to cat! My son and my cat get on v well now. Cat never seemed at all interested in getting into pram or cot when DS was a baby. We bought one of those cat net things for the pram which was a total waste of money, it didn't stay on properly and if he had actually jumped on it it would've just pinged off under his weight i'm sure. I agree, just try not to leave them unsupervised in the early days.

when will the farting and burping ever stop? I reckon the amount of wind I've got could provide power for a small village. Blurgh.

TheBooMonster · 25/10/2014 19:10

PiL have a cat and we were living with them when I was pregnant with DD and for almost a year after, he was my best friend during pregnancy, I assume becUse I was extra warm. However he's never forgiven me for shedding the warm and bringing home a squealing hairless thing! He has never shown any interest in DD, apart from a brief phase where he'd sleep on the chair in her room when she was asleep, and now she's mobile he stays as far away from her as he can at all times.

KatoPotato · 25/10/2014 19:11

We converted our dining room into a play room last year, you can see it is the next room through there and the sofabed makes it a great guest room too

RPopz · 25/10/2014 19:16

You just need to keep them indoors for 6-8 weeks... and then they somehow magically know where they live! Some cats are better at it than others tho, and some wander further than others. They're pretty good though, we've moved house 6 times Shock with our old kitty and she's not got lost yet Smile

RPopz · 25/10/2014 19:17

Omg Kato that's exactly what we have in our spare room!

ZylaB · 25/10/2014 19:32

Yay to playrooms and storage :)

teejayem · 25/10/2014 22:15

We have three cats too, (indoor all winter and fair weather outside in summer) Mr Tee is on poo box duty , and the cat food smell makes me gag at the moment so he is basically feline caregiver. We're going to try and start weaning them off sleeping on the bed with us, thankfully they've had plenty of toddler terrorising, so I think they'll be Okay. I've had a couple of people tell me the hilarious old wives tale about cats sucking away the breath of sleeping children and all sorts, and then asking me if I'll be getting rid of the cats before tiny tee turns up. Erm. No.
