Good luck MrsKrios hand holding x

Tranquilitybaby · 23/10/2014 07:18

Thinking of you MrsKrios for your scan today. I hope it goes really well.

A week until my scan and I'm feeling pretty anxious every morning when I wake up. Everything feels different to the ectopic so in hoping baby is in the right place this time.

Zaccheryquack · 23/10/2014 07:25

Good luck today MrsK hope all is ok. Will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Also good luck Pas on the school trip! Quite often very jealous of people's much more interesting careers but truly content hiding at my desk when pregnant!! Much more tiring on my days off when I look after dd. Dealing with lots of children when you are feeling queasy must be exhausting!

Chaos think I may have missed a post from you. Hope all ok with you too.

8 week scan today. Feeling a bit scared and excited all at once. Anyone not talking about it much with their partner? We were like this last time too. Didn't discuss much until we reached the magic 12 weeks.

Choccywoccydodah · 23/10/2014 07:37

Morning. Jumping off for now.
I'm still have browny pink and dripped into the loo this morning (overnight build up I guess). Sorry if tmi. Have had a good cry with dh and told him if this one doesn't work out, I don't want to try any more. It's just too hard going through this all the time. We have a perfect and absolutely gorgeous ds, and I don't think it's fair on him either.
Will let you know how the scan goes next Thursday.
Good luck with all you scans in the meantime. Have a lovely weekend x

Choccywoccydodah · 23/10/2014 07:39

Chock, no they never found out any probs. they wanted to do an nk test, but me and dh agreed as soon as we had to start paying for tests, we wouldn't do it as where does it stop? Plus it can be inconclusive.

ots · 23/10/2014 07:57

Got everything crossed for you choccy x

Choccywoccydodah · 23/10/2014 08:28

Bright red now and light period like so am assuming I'm done. No clots yet.
Good luck with all of your pregnancies x

chaoscausingboys · 23/10/2014 08:29

Morning. please can someone remove me from the list. After the brown spotting yesterday I had period cramps in the night and started bleeding this morning. I knew something wasn't right after that scan (combined with my dates) and was holding on to hope, combined with the spotting and hardly any symptoms (I was very sick with DS's .. Not everyone is sick) I just knew really. I feel blessed with the two lovely boys I have so am OK. So am signing off now.

I wanted to wish all of you happy and Uneventful pregnancies.

MrsK hope good luck today hope it is nothing and Choccy hope all goes well at the scan.

Phryn · 23/10/2014 08:44

Mrs K good luck for the scan this morning - really hoping it's good news.

Choccy and Chaos I'm so sorry - it's a really shitty thing to happen to you both. Really hoping you can get the support you need IRL. Don't try and be a hero and keep up with work/other commitments beyond the essentials unless you really think they will help/distract you. Take care xx

MrsExtraOrdinary · 23/10/2014 09:10

Chaos I'm so sorry. Such sad news. Take care xx

ots · 23/10/2014 09:16

So sorry chaos and choccy look after yourselves xx

MrsKrios · 23/10/2014 10:07

Thanks for the well wishes everyone. I'll know in an hour or so.

So sorry about your bad news Choccy and Chaos Thanks xx

fortywinx · 23/10/2014 10:09

Morning all. Sorry to see all the bad news, so sorry to ohlordy, choccy and chaos. Take care ladies Flowers

I had a really quite bad stabbing sensation in the left side of my abdomen/crotch last night in bed (bad enough to make me yelp, and my OH to come upstairs to check on me), and through the night and today I've had a dull ache on the right side of my abdomen. Doesn't feel like the mild periody cramps I had in the first few weeks, but doesn't feel excruciating either. Worried as my nausea has mostly gone away this week, and I think I'm convincing myself that my breast soreness is fading too, also worried as (sorry for tmi) although I've had no bleeding/spotting at all, I noticed I smelt a bit different "down there" yesterday, kind of coppery, like just before I'm due on :(
Not sure what to do ladies, should I bother ringing my GP? I'm only 7+1 and not due to see the midwife until week after next. I'm pretty sure they won't do anything, especially with no spotting or bleeding, and the stabbing pain was fairly brief last night...

Chookford · 23/10/2014 10:47

choccy and chaos am so sorry to hear your news life really can be such a bitch sometimes, take care of yourselves Flowers

MrsK will keep everything crossed for your scan this morning.

forty if I were you I would ring and explain everything to the gp, and if they are no help call your local epu and explain how terrified you are, and you have had that pain they may agree to see you, it cant hurt to ask.

Chookford · 23/10/2014 10:48

Zach good luck with your scan today too, what time is it?

The hospital has just called and given me my dating scan for next Thursday but I'll only be 10 weeks. Is that normal? Last pregnancy I was 12 weeks. Will it still e as accurate?

MrsExtraOrdinary · 23/10/2014 11:35

Dating scans can be done at any time really. It's the neucal scan (sp) where they measure the fluid in the back of the babies neck that needs to be done at around 12 weeks. They won't do this until this time as it would show a wrong result,

HariboBrenshnio · 23/10/2014 11:39

Ah okay, I'm not having the NT scan so makes sense! The anxious wait begins.

forty I've been having achy cramps and the occasional sharp pain over the last couple of days, along with nausea and sore boobs scaling back a bit - been freaking me out royally I can tell you!

Went to my GP this morning and he had a good feel around my belly, and reassured me it sounds like normal discomfort from the uterus growing.

I'd say deffo get to your GP or EPU just to get checked out (& hopefully reassured) but from my GP & my copious googling it sounds like the sharper pains (usually to one side around the groin line) can be early round ligament pain, and the duller aches can be just from the uterus growing and shoving other organs out of the way.

My GP said unless the pains grow continuously and get sharper, more painful and happen in the centre of the lower abdomen and start to be accompanied by heavy spotting, then there shouldn't be a reason to worry...

Still, I find it a bit of piss-take from Mother Nature that the symptoms of a healthy pregnancy ARE PRACTICALLY THE SAME as the symptoms of something going wrong. Feel like my body is suddenly some complex machine I've been put in charge of without any of the appropriate training!

MrsKrios · 23/10/2014 12:27

doesn't look good Sad. They found a small empty sac. They said it could still be too early but I think at this stage (i should be seven weeks) they would have seen something. Now awaiting hcg results later today and then might need to retest.

fortywinx · 23/10/2014 12:29

Thanks all for your help ladies. I've been trying to get hold of a GP or my midwife (who seems to be based at a children's centre rather than the hospital) but no luck. Was given a phone number for Triage by someone I eventually got through to, but the number seems to be incorrect and I can't get an answer on the original number now.

perptual thanks, that makes me feel better! I did wonder if it was just ligament/muscular pain as that was kind of what it felt like, and it was when I moved (although I only bent my leg, I didn't roll over even!), but seeing as everywhere I Googled said round ligament was usually felt in second trimester I wasn't sure. And then with the ache on the right side since.... ugh, I'll keep trying to get hold of someone after lunch time and see how it goes!

ots · 23/10/2014 12:31

Sorry MrsK . Could your dates be out at all?

Thinking of all of you who are worrying Thanks
