Fx MrsK I hope it's just too early. I went through this last time and it did turn out to be ok although such a worrying time.

forty, when I had a bleed and cramps during my last pregnancy, I called the hospital and asked to be put through to the EPU. I arranged a scan directly with them rather than go through my own midwife, and got seen early the following morning.

MrsKrios · 23/10/2014 12:53

Thanks all. My dates could be off I suppose but I don't think they could be that off. I'd have to be over five weeks I think and there would be something there at that stage wouldn't there?

I really don't know. Awaiting HCG results. I just don't see how it could be that early.

ots · 23/10/2014 13:03

Just had a quick google, and at 5 weeks you are likely to just see a sac with no fetal pole. Apparently there wouldn't be anything else to see until 6 weeks.
I know how worrying it must be though. Did they say how long it will take to get hcg results?

Jackiebrambles · 23/10/2014 13:08

Forty you can definitely get the sharp/ligament type pains in the first trimester, in fact I think that's when I got them the most last pregancy.
I'm getting them now and I'm not even 5 weeks.

But they generally seem to be for me when I am moving around, like getting up from a chair or out of bed. If they are more constant and very painful then definitely try to go to EPU.

Sorry for all your worry/pain MrsK but I think pregnancies do move at different speeds this early on (hence the dating scan is when it is). Fingers crossed for you xx

MrsKrios · 23/10/2014 13:11

Thanks for googling. I may have just completely miscalculated my dates. The sac was so small though.

They're letting me know later today.

jazzyjenbo · 23/10/2014 13:35

So sorry to read of more losses, please take care ladies.

Mrsk, when i went for my first scan i thought i should of been about 6 weeks they said i was more like 4 weeks (which i knew wasnt correct) and they could only see a small sac with yoc.. No fetal pole or even evidence of foetus at that stage (0.2cm) went back 2 weeks later and had jumped to 7 weeks and strong heartbeat seen.
If all your signs and symptoms and the bloodtests come back ok dont loose hope, i was just glad that everythin was in the right place at such an early stage. X

Hi all, I got my scan date through for 20th November when I should be exactly 12 weeks. Private scan on Sunday. Also got a card through the post for my free prescriptions and dental care so going to get lots of fillings done Wink

Sorry to choccy and chaos and fingers crossed for forty and MrsK. Keep us posted Flowers

MrsKrios · 23/10/2014 13:49

Thank you for the reassurance. I'm in a bit of a mess about it. DH has been abroad for work all week so I've had to deal with it all alone. Due to not having a lot of symptoms I'm preparing myself for the worst but who knows.

I should know hcg levels in a few hours.

Chookford · 23/10/2014 14:08

mrsk I'm keeping everything crossed for you that its just too early, hopefully your blood test results will bring you some good news later Flowers

Mrsk sending hugs ....fx for you

MrsKrios · 23/10/2014 15:44

I've done some googling and my scan looked like the four week ultrasound. A round sac but empty. But my pregnancy test tested positive 11 days ago. Not sure it would look like that Sad

Sorry for all the posts. just in a bit of a tither. Still waiting for the hcg results

Don't apologise Mrs K, it must be so hard with your DH not around, keep talking to us :)

Hope they don't keep you waiting too much longer for results x

Same here sunbathing I found the miscarriage board and my group of December ladies much more helpful than any real life advice.

MrsKrios · 23/10/2014 15:56

Thank you Thanks

We went through the exact same thing last year. I had to have a laparoscopy as had high hcg but no visible pregnancy on the ultrasound then suffered a miscarriage soon after so it feels terrible going through it again.
