It's just a side effect of pregnancy. I've been taking Pregnacare for over two years but I only have looser stools (not dodgy stomach level though) during pregnancy. I never get morning sickness either so there might be something in that. Maybe those who suffer constipation are more likely to get morning sickness?

FreeWee · 21/10/2014 22:20

Thanks everyone. I'll give them a call tomorrow.

Kyz · 21/10/2014 22:22

Evening all. I've been awol for ages, was really poorly and have been very busy. Had booking in appt today, EDD has changed to 31st may but can I stay here please, as I think it'll be put back to June at my 12 week scan

Hope everyone is doing ok? I am trying to learn to deal with the sickness and have had some awful back pain (I did last time too) but I'm doing ok. I'll read through the posts ive missed and add newbies to the stats asap :)

Congrats and welcome newbies btw!

MrsExtraOrdinary · 21/10/2014 22:25

Just off to bed. But wanted to wish you all good luck for the morning! Thanks

MsJupiter · 21/10/2014 22:47

Hi Kyz sorry to hear you have been so poorly but glad you are staying on this bus.

pasbeaucoupdegendarme · 21/10/2014 23:05

Have just been trying to work out EDD again with dh. This has involved some complicated maths regarding early scans I had with dd and how far I was then/how far I am now and what scan said yesterday. We think EDD is about 8.6.15. Which has rather terrified us both as DH is organising and running an important conference from 15.6.15!! Dd was 12 days overdue so this one's unlikely to be early..! Rather early to be worrying about it, obviously, but it takes my mind off the other scarier things to worry about at this stage!

bubalou · 21/10/2014 23:08

Hey all, haven't had time to go back and read all posts on new thread yet but I will.

Hope everyone is doing ok.

For those suffering sickness I hope it helps to know I am finally coming through the other side after being practically bed bound for 2 weeks and 5lbs lighter then my pre-pregnancy weight.

4 days ago I had a day where I had about an hour feeling ok. 3 days ago I was ok for about 30% of the day, 2 days ago I was about 50/50, yesterday had a few waves of nausea and threw up once, today no vomiting and have only felt sick a few times. Grin

Still no where near 100% but I ate my first proper meal in two weeks tonight - my mum made gammon, pineapple, roast potatoes and veg for me. It was amazing and I've finally been able to eat some proper protein.

God I hope it continues. Nothing helped when it was bad. All of the ginger crap etc people told me - I tried EVERYTHING. I was going to go to the doctor but thankfully it's fading now.

Going to focus on eating right from now on and getting myself healthy.

Scan Friday - soooooo nervous! Hmm

Sending lots of anti nausea vibes to my fellow sufferers. Thanks

Hi everyone, insomnia is back with which is great because otherwise I would never keep up with this thread.

Mrs E so sorry to hear you are feeling so awful. Keeping my fingers crossed that doctors can do something to help you.

Bubalou and Kyz glad you are both feeling a bit better.

Chaos will be keeping my fingers crossed for you

Pas - hi! Have both changed our names since June 12 but pretty sure it is you!!

I have been feeling a little bit sick and not sleeping so well this week, which perversely has made me feel happy as I feel like things are happening. Have an early scan tomorrow (will be 8 weeks + 1) so will be feeling nervous at the office.

Just wondering if everyone else is really hungry all the time? I just seem to be craving carbs and had eaten my packed lunch by 10:30 yesterday and had another bowl of soup and a roll when it was actually lunch time. I know I don't actually need the calories (especially as I am a stone heavier than when I was pregnant with DD) but just feel ravenous. What is everyone else snacking on that is not too naughty?!

MrsKrios · 22/10/2014 06:39

I think this pregnancy is the reason I can't sleep this week. I've not had more than four hours a night since Sunday. Is Insomnia a pregnancy thing? I never had it with prior pregnancies.

I am so so tired and DH away for two more nights Sad.

bubalou · 22/10/2014 07:31

Thanks all.

Zach - I am 8 weeks today and have my early scan on Friday! Smile

Yes I am STARVING almost all the time. I think around 7/8 weeks is when the appetite really begins to increase.

I have always hated breakfast and never been able to eat for the first 3 hours in the morning. However I woke up 20mins ago and am soooooo hungry.

It's going to take some getting used to. Smile

pasbeaucoupdegendarme · 22/10/2014 07:48

Hello Zach, yes it's me!!

I'm not so much starving as needing to eat little and often to keep the sicky feeling at bay... Weds-Fri is my working week and it's rather frowned on to snack in the classroom so not looking forward to it Hmm Not managing to eat much in one sitting though before that makes me feel sick too though!

Those of you with older dc, when do you plan on telling/ talking about it in front of them? My dd rather spookily informed me that "there's a baby in there" last week before my scan, despite our being very careful not to mention it in front of her. Yesterday she was asking me what "sort" of tummy I had and what was in it so I asked her what she thought was in it and she looked at it and said "Gordon Bennet!!" So I think baby will be known as Gordon now...!!

Zaccheryquack · 22/10/2014 08:03

I was thinking 12 weeks to tell Dd - not because I don't want to but because I think she will tell everyone that will listen once we have told her!

Bubalou - glad to know I am not the only one that is HUNGRY. Would be stealing the kids pack lunches if I was in the classroom Pas!

ots · 22/10/2014 08:17

That's so cute pasbeaucoup . My DS (3) pointed at my belly and said baby too. We haven't mentioned it to him at all. I think they are more intuitive than we realise.

When I was pregnant with him, I loved telling my co workers what size the baby was each week. One week it was the size of a grape, and one of my co workers started affectionately referring to my bump as Gilbert. It stuck, and when I had my 20 week scan she texted me to ask if we were having a Gilbert or Gilberta! I think they were all disappointed when we didn't name DS Gilbert Grin

cuphat · 22/10/2014 08:25

I'm the same as pas. Just eating little and often and I can't eat much in one go anymore.

We told DD straight away because she's too young to understand properly or tell anyone. She did look under my top when I said there was a baby in there though!

Choccywoccydodah · 22/10/2014 08:54

5 weeks today woohoo! Might not seem a lot, but to make it this far with no bleeding I am ecstatic!

Re telling children. My dh asked ds (was 3 in August) on Sunday what they should buy mummy for her birthday (next Sat). Ds replied 'a baby'!! Me and dh just looked at each other in shock and didn't know what to say, but I did say I'd read somewhere that the can sense these things, so am hoping that's a good sign!
Not planning on telling him until nearer 12 weeks.

Good luck for your scans!

MrsExtraOrdinary · 22/10/2014 09:05

Choccy 5 weeks is definitely good news. I can't believe how many disdaining nets you've had. It's been so tough for you. My littlest ds (3yr) is also very convinced I have a baby in my tummy. I'm not sure why because I've not mentioned anything. But it's very sweet.

pasbeaucoupdegendarme · 22/10/2014 09:06

I've heard that they can sense things, too. My cousin's little girl told her mum "that's my baby brother in there" long before they told her officially that she was going to be a big sister. (It was a boy, too!)

MsJupiter · 22/10/2014 09:36

My DS is nearly 2 and I forget how much of a sponge he is. When I got the BFP I told DH in front of DS and now he keeps shouting Baby Mummy! Baby Mummy! Don't think we're going to be able to keep this quiet for long...

Chookford · 22/10/2014 10:22

Morning ladies

Hope Everyone is well this morning? Congrats and welcome to all the newbies!

On the subject of hunger I am the same, seem to be constantly hungry until about 5.30pm and then that's it I cant eat a thing!

silversixpence · 22/10/2014 10:31

We've told both dc, DD is 20 months and keeps saying "hello baby what you doing" to my tummy which is really sweet!

MrsKrios · 22/10/2014 10:36

Lack of blog soreness today (I'm seven weeks) Really worrying me Sad .

MrsKrios · 22/10/2014 10:36

boob soreness rather Hmm

Smugfearnleyshittingstool · 22/10/2014 11:08

I'm 7 weeks too mrskrios and have no real boob soreness, a bit of nausea most of the day, but boobs feel fine. I'm trying not to worry, mine don't feel bigger yet either
