Thanks Phryn, your post means a lot. I didn't get to do any of those things last time, knew I was pregnant for less than 5 days, internal bleeding was discovered and the ectopic was diagnosed, scary stuff being rushed to theatre. I'm going to wait until after my scan on Thursday, then if all ok, I'll be brave. Thanks,& to you chookford.

Welcome croon and congratulations.

Tranquilitybaby · 27/10/2014 21:42

Congrats to you Bingo, I took had an ectopic, lost my left tube too. Did you? Xx

Tranquilitybaby · 27/10/2014 21:43

Sorry that should've been for bazza! X Blush

Gr33dyeggs · 27/10/2014 21:44

Evening all!

I had a few stomach cramps this morning. My OH suggested it was just wind! I've had nothing since so hoping he's right!

Went to waterworld today in stoke. Had a pretty good time. Went on a couple of tamer rides and in the wave pool. Absolutely shattered now - slept for an hour and a half on our return! Plus had nausea and sickness this morning so still some good symptoms.

My 5 yo informed me I'm getting fat today! I don't think we will be able to keep it from him much longer. Bought a top and a couple of maternity dresses in the sale today. Pregnant at completely opposite time of year to b4. Dresses are wrap around so should be ok for non pregnancy too. I need something to hide the bump - not got scan until 13+3 and did want to wait until 16 weeks b4 announcing.

Regarding NT scans my green book says scans to 14+2 are ok. I hope so in case my dates get moved (they did with my son by a couple of days and I think I ovulate around day 11 or 12). It's so hard not to worry isn't it!

Tranquilitybaby · 27/10/2014 21:46

Off to amend my tesco online shop now, forgot salty crisps!!

Gr33dyeggs · 27/10/2014 21:49

Meant to add I'll be 35 when baby arrives all being well - a few of us mid 30s then!

MrsExtraOrdinary · 27/10/2014 22:35

I'll be 35 too when baby makes an entrance, but I'm quite glad I'm only 34 at the mo as I don't want all the extra tests they offer you at 35 in my area. I've had an amnio previously and it was very nerve racking. I don't want to go down that route as being routine.

Tranquilitybaby · 27/10/2014 22:39

I'll be 37 x

Bazza2 · 27/10/2014 22:43

Yes tranquility, knew I was pregnant for a week before finding out it was ectopic, had surgery and lost right tube. Got a six week scan this time because of it. It was very reassuring but there is still a long way to go before I'll feel like it's okay.

Alisvolatpropiis · 27/10/2014 22:46

I've had to buy anti sickness bands. Today was hard. Spent a large portion of it retching in the ladies.

Some bastard had parsnip soup for lunch at their desk. I nearly vomited on mine.

Diligently sticking to "dry" foods. But nothing stops my reaction to smells.

Tranquilitybaby · 27/10/2014 22:52

Totally with you. I think DH think that if all is ok at 6 week scan, all will be just fine. Wish I felt like that, although will be so relieved that I haven't got to be rushed in for surgery again.

AnythingNotEverything · 27/10/2014 22:58

Erm. I downloaded the Ovia app. It basically said I was fat and was only allowed to put on 3lb this trimester. I expect my boobs will grow more than that this bloody trimester!

This tops off a day where my mum told me that after this next baby I'll have to start looking after myself.

Urgh. Luckily eating is the only way to stave the exhaustion Confused

Bazza2 · 27/10/2014 23:21

Tranquility I just realised we talked about this before, in a TTC after ectopic thread! I knew I recognised you from somewhere........

Tranquilitybaby · 28/10/2014 02:30

Yes me too bazza, realised after if posted!

Has anyone done Slimming World whilst pregnant? I'm site I read somewhere that it's allowed? Ovia said my bmi is 33, so I'd really like to get it down under 30, as being over 35 with a BMI, I'm setting myself up for negative comments from the medical peeps.

ots · 28/10/2014 06:13

Tranquility, im pretty sure Slimming World is safe during pregnancy as you are not cutting out any food groups. I've been doing it for about a year and a half, but have stopped now because I was struggling so much with eating any proper meals. I'm just trying to eat as well as I can at the moment, and will start it up again as soon as I'm feeling better. Not to lose weight, more to ensure I only put on a healthy amount.

DS was up at 5 this morning :( . Before the clocks changed he was sleeping in til at least 7 every morning. Friday night he is staying at my mum's and I'm so excited about a long lay in on Saturday!

BingoBonkers · 28/10/2014 07:00

Slimming World is fine for pre, post and during pregnancy. You will need your MW's approval/letter to join.

The clock change has messed everything up here too. I've been awake since 5.

Tranquilitybaby · 28/10/2014 07:09

Brilliant thanks for is, I thought I'd read that SW was the only pregnancy approved plan. I'll ask the MW when I see her.

I've has a cold for the last couple of days and have been awake from around 2-4am for the past three nights. Urgh

Chookford · 28/10/2014 07:18

I was doing slimming world before I found out but have had to stop at the moment as some of the recipes turn my stomach and I can't eat a proper meal at dinner time either but it's perfectly safe.

I seem to have lost some weight since giving up wine! I must have drunk shit loads!! Wine

JennyOfOldstones · 28/10/2014 07:23

Morning ladies! All the crisp talk is making me hungry. I had chip shop chips with mayo last night it was amazing. Keep promising myself I will eat better when I feel better!

Booking in appt at 9.00 today. Had the last 2 days as holiday and it is so nice not to be at work! If only I could take the next 4 weeks off!

Tranquilitybaby · 28/10/2014 07:51

Def going to give it a go.

Good luck for your appointment this morning Jenny

MrsExtraOrdinary · 28/10/2014 08:21

I'm a bit worried about weight gain this time around too. Ok it's my 6th baby and each time it's harder to get back into shape. This time I did manage it to a certain extent but then put it all on again as I was really very poorly for 18 months and that meant pretty much no activity at all. I couldn't even walk. Also I find being so anaemic makes me put on weight as I actually don't have the physical energy. My heaviest at 9 mts pg has only ever been 10 1/2 stone. And usually pre pregnancy i range somewhere between 8-9 stone. This time though I started at 10 stone. Am extemely anaemic to start. I haven't eaten much for 3 weeks so could be less now. But worried what on earth I'm going to end up weighing. Problem being is when breast feeding I tend to put on weight. So any weight that is discarded in the week after the birth, usually a stone and half is put back on with enormous boob milk. I'm ravenously Hungary. The good thing is about that is the moment I stop feeding I loose half a stone over night. I'm 5'2" so healthy weight for me is between 8-9 stone really. I'm not overweight I don't think but because I'm short I probably look bigger than I am. I always feel more healthy and fitter nearer the 8 stone than 10 stone. But I'd happily settle for 9. I wonder what I weigh now?

Jackiebrambles · 28/10/2014 08:36

Morning all
God I feel sick as a dog today, urgh. And why does this always coincide with mad-busy/urgent work projects?!

Good luck with booking in this morning Jenny.

I'll be 38 when this baby arrives.

I was 36 when my first one came and I don't think I had extra tests as a result. Just the usual scans/blood tests. I have a feeling my hospital might be offering a new 'harmony' test now to anyone over 35, which is a new test done at 12 weeks but that is non-invasive but much more accurate results than the NT/combined blood test for downs etc. Will report back when I know more!

MrsExtraOrdinary · 28/10/2014 08:49

Jackie that's interesting, not heard about that. I wonder what that involves.

MsJupiter · 28/10/2014 08:52

Hi everyone. Jackie I was 36 when I had DS and am 38 now. Will be interested to see if anything additional is offered from last time.

I have been doing SWorld since the summer and lost 1.5st, unfortunately I still had a way to go to get into my healthy weight range but given my age and the trouble I had conceiving last time we didn't want to delay ttc and of course it's happened much quicker this time. I told my SW consultant and she's given me some forms to take to the booking in for a mw to sign to say they are happy for me to continue.

I am actually the same weight as last pg and I had gestational diabetes so I am expecting the same this time. The positive of that was that I ate super healthily during the pregnancy - I was a stone heavier at the end so once I'd had the baby I was lighter than I started.

teeniedeenie34 · 28/10/2014 09:22

Morning ladies

Loving the crisp chat! I normally can't get enough crisps but haven't been too fussed for them so far. I'm only 5 weeks today though so maybe that will kick-in in soon Smile

Sunbathing yes the insomnia doesn't make things any easier does it? Everything you read tells you that you will feel tired as your body is working hard to create and grow your little bean, they don't however tell you that even though you are totally exhausted you won't be able to sleep lol! Confused

Bingo Twins also run in my family so this has now become an 'in' joke between my OH and both sets of parents... I seem to be the only one not laughing Wink In all seriousness though, it would be a struggle as our house is really quite small but we would cope I'm sure.

Detective I'm definitely another contender for last baby to be born from this bus, my edd is 30th June. Will be interesting to see if that changes when I get my first scan! Smile

Hope everyone is well today!
