Oh notsoold Hmm Sounds really worrying and demoralising. Keeping everything crossed that there's an explanation with a happy outcome.

Zach - thanks for asking! Let's just say I really, seriously don't envy those of you who have long commutes/ travel by tube every day. It was really quite hideous! However, the actual museum part was great and the children got a lot out of it.

Since I got home I have washed, hoovered, cleaned bathroom, made bread and soup (well, the bread is still proving but requires minimal effort now) and fought entertained fractious toddler. Am not feeling at all domestic goddessy but very grumpy!!

MrsExtraOrdinary · 24/10/2014 20:43

I'm sorry notsoold that's not the news you wanted to hear at all. But does mean all is not lost. Fx again it's just too early.

jazzyjenbo · 24/10/2014 20:45

Notso... What date were u expecting?/when was your lmp?

I got my bfp on 20/09... On my dates am 9+3 but scan put me back about a week so 8wks... Your bfp was 2 weeks after mine so thats approx 6 weeks so maybe correct? Early scans are so hard to date aswell. What did the sonographer have to say? Were the positive? Also ru going back for a re scan?
Sorry for the 20 questions, i know its so worrying when scans arnt as you expect x x

Evening all

Am shattered today cos DS decided to be awake for 3 hours in the night and i've not managed any sleep today. Fingers crossed for a full nights sleep tonight! I think the sickness is going, I think, but I'm trying not to worry about it. I still have strong adversions to things like tea and coffee so that must be a positive thing.

have added your details to the stats list tranquility

lovely for you to have had that scan zacchery :) congrats

wow guybrush how are you managing? Ignore me moaning above, I don't know the meaning of the word shattered!

hi Iwant and welcome - I've added you to the STATS LIST huge congratulations and fingers firmly crossed you have a nice smooth sailing pregnancy

glad everything looked ok on your scan buba that's fab news :D

Congrats glenpip I've added you to the stats too :)

oh no notso :( But fingers crossed everything is ok and everything progresses as normal, will be thinking of you

notsoold · 24/10/2014 20:56

jazzy....I am going back for another scan on the 6th November.
My lmp was 1st September and my cycles are long (33days in average). He dtd on the 20th and even if the super swimmers were alive until near the 25th ( the only way to tally it all) then I couldn't possibly get a +ve on the 3rd could I???
I thought I was the earliest 7 weeks today but after she saw my dates she wasn't so positive either.
The crl is 3.8 mm earlier than 6 weeks ( the sac was 6 weeks) and although I wouldn't be so concerned regarding the size of the little bean (as I have seen different tables for South Americans like myself), the lack of a hearbeat ( either because of being so early - 5+some days) or else was dishearting. I am trying to say to myself that maybe I ovulated late (easy) the super swimmers stayed here forever ( we had before) but how to get a positive so early??? What do you think???

Chookford · 24/10/2014 20:57

notso I'm sorry to hear you are having to go through this limbo stage, I will keep everything crossed that it's just too early and the next scan will bring you some good news Flowers

rosabeth · 24/10/2014 21:08

Ditto that. I think at such an early stage it is so hard to tell. Fingers crossed that your next scan shows things more clearly. And do come here for company in the meantime! Waiting is never fun.

Alisvolatpropiis · 24/10/2014 21:17

Thanks Zac and Sun, I'm going to take a deep breath and calm down.

Notso, i hav just tracked your dates and still think u may still have some hope. I don't want to give false info but like you i generally had a long cycle.. Average of 32 days.
I found over the course of 9 mths tracking that cd1 would generally lead to ov approx 3 weeks later instead of normal 2 weeks so going off that and your dtd date i would say it is possible that you are between 6-7 weeks
1/9 - lmp
20/9 - dtd
20-21/9 - ov (2wks) (3wks since lmp)
3-4/10 - +hpt 13dpo (4 wks)
24/10 - 6+6
and therefore may not get a clear hb on scan. (They say to date from 2 weeks before ov which usually ties in with lmp but on longer cycles can be out by a week)
I went at what should of been 6 weeks after lmp but was dated at 4/5 weeks which i thought was over a week less but when i went back at what should of been 8 weeks was 7, i've always been put back 1 week at 12 week date scan and realised it was due to long cycle.
I really hope that your little beany was just abit slower, they all develop at slightly different rates at the early stages. I'll be keeping everything crossed for you.

jazzy I do hope you are right .... thank you so much for your work and sunbathing thanks as well. I am going to try to stop crying I am quite aware of how si?ly I sound but my heart is in pieces ( but trying to think like jazzy....)

jazzyjenbo · 24/10/2014 23:16

Notso.. I honestly really feel for you. I have been in your shoes and know what a worrying time it is. Unfortunately last time for me it didnt work out but i was later than you are now.
But I genuinely think you have hope, maybe read up on your options if things don't turn out, that can be daunting but try not to over google images of 6/7/8 week scans, we are all different, baby may of been hiding, you could of been gassy or bloated which can impact on image quality.
Try to get the bloods done soon, its sumthing to focus on before the scan, not gona ramble anymore but just know that there are lots if us thinking of you x x x

Up at 2 and haven't been able to get back go sleep. Too worried about my hcg test later on. I've now convinced myself I have a blighted ovum but hopefully if the levels double normally they can rule that out?

Argh. So worried.

Zaccheryquack · 25/10/2014 05:45

Thinking about you today MrsK - will keep everything crossed for you.

HariboBrenshnio · 25/10/2014 07:38

notsoold I'm sorry lovely, it's really not what you wanted to hear. I hope your feeling a little better his morning and giving DS2 some extra squeezes. I'm hoping hoping hoping it's a case of late ovulation and the next scan shows a bigger bean with a heartbeat. It's a long wait though so get yourself to the doctors today! Thinking of you xx

Full credit to ladies who use the London Underground while pregnant and/or with babies. I haven't felt sick once yet but it seems I have developed pregnancy travel sickness. We did arrive at 6pm so major rush hour but god, it was awful! I did get offered a seat immediately, by a man as well, as had DS with me which was very sweet.

Fingers crossed for those awaiting results xx

MrsExtraOrdinary · 25/10/2014 07:56

Hope today goes well MrsK. Honestly I completely understand the panic. I went through this last time with ds after an mc and then a further 20 mts of ttc. It felt so utterly cruel. My dates only changed by a day or to. But not everyone's body does things at the same pace. Although drs would like to think we are all exactly the same inside our bodies, clearly we are not. My levels didn't double. I was told to prepare for mc. But it was all a load of worry and panic for absolutely nothing. He was born perfectly healthily. I think that's why I decided this time there'd be no really early scan. I'm a bit worried about the one I have booked next week, that'll also be too early at 8 wks and I'll have a similar disappointment.

Thelovecats · 25/10/2014 08:03

Hi, can I join? 5+4 with dc3- very unexpected as have previously had ivf with ICSI to conceive. Due 23 June. Slightly sore boobs and moments of nausea so far.
There are no early scan places where I am, so I'll have to wait for 12 week scan...

jazzyjenbo · 25/10/2014 09:07

Welcome thelove... Such a lovely surprise after needing ivf last time.. This bean obviously was ment to be!

MrsK... Thinking of you today, i really hope your levels have gone up.

Not sure if anyone else is having scans/tests today but if u are then hope they go well.

sun I know it's so hard to not worry especially if you have hit the same gestation period, but I am sure everything is fine you have had symptoms come and go before and the ache/cramp is probably everything stretching, I know this won't stop the panic but I am sure everything is ok just take it easy today and see if that helps.. I'm thinking of you Flowers

MrsExtraOrdinary · 25/10/2014 10:37

I'm sorry you don't feel confident sunbathing. I'm having a bit of self doubt too. I just don't know how I'm going to cope being so Ill for so long. At least my dr at the hospital is on the ball and has written his findings to my gp. But still March seems a long way away.

Tranquilitybaby · 25/10/2014 10:38

Thinking of you MrsK and notsoold today x

Tranquilitybaby · 25/10/2014 10:42

Welcome lovecats, we're at exactly the same stage. Same symptoms too! I've got an early scan next week though.
